All I'm gonna say is... if they don't get that search function in for cargo/inventory in live, I'm gonna be real sad. We already fought them on this the first time inventory came out.. I don't want to fight them a second time for something that should be a basic feature.
@SaltEMike Yeah it ain't there. It's the first thing I went looking for. Hopefully it'll make it in before live but.. prior history tells me it won't and got forgotten about. We'll see. Still enjoyed the rest of the cargo stuff but that stuck out for me - it's gonna make sorting through a bunch of items a real pain in the ass.
Search functionality won't come in until they get the database stable. Search functionality is an extremely stressful process on databases. Don't expect to see it until 4.0.
Things like search and sorting thing alphabetically hasn't quite reached CIG developers yet 😂 Nikax or whatever it's called also doesn't have search. Effectively, that makes it almost entirely unusable
@@Billy-bc8pk It's already calling all the objects you have displayed the second you open the terminal. Narrowing down the results from information that's already been loaded from DB and displayed to you should not add more of a strain than it did when it originally called all the items in the first place because at that point all you're doing is excluding information. It shouldn't then be doing another DB call just to narrow it down. It makes no sense.
@SaltEMike much appreciated. As a backer whose biggest ship, not in concept, is a corsair. I've been wanting to know if loaners count towards hangar size.
Ehh to extent I think they are kinda high now, what is gonna give value to cargo is cargo missions. Just raising the value well casue an imbalance. We can’t make a mill so easy, should take time.
High timers are a no go for me. This would completely limit me playing anything cargo. Loading 1000+scu by hand sounds okay if there were 100scu containers movable with a hand tractor beam.
CIG already have said that tractor beams will be changed!! the Pyro one will be for up to 4 scu, the big one up to 16 and you will need a vehicle for bigger...........was posted a while ago, and we really need an update.
I hope it get reduced, 5 hours would be bonkers. Make the credits get paid after it finishes loading, then it would be kinda fine. Imagine waiting 5 hours and got server error. Can you confirm that the hangar would be 'persistent' if we leave our ship autoreloading and go do some bunker mission? Or something to that effect, when we return did it persist even after the instances streamed out? Anyway, great update, Mike!
Sounds like prison all over again. Five hour wait? Guess I'll log out and go play something else. Maybe I'll remember I have cargo to fly in a day or two.

Saltemike is like paid opposition, says basic complaints about SC the. Goes on to praise it Everytime. I enjoy the content but it feels contrived. Just saying.
The trolley thing is interesting because the way i handle looted cargo / bodies ect in the game at present is I grab one box at a time and move them the max distance i can with the tractor. set it down / stop it there in space and then move the next thing till i have a cluster moved forward and then i go forward and do the next leg. The trolley seems like a less frustrating way of doing that. Especially because you could probably leave the crates off it and use it as a trolley for bodies from outdoor FPS combat locations lmao.
So will pers. hangars just be gifted to you based on your biggest ship, that just get bigger when you buy a bigger ship, or do you have to buy the hangars and buy the size upgrades for it?
This is one of the better Evo's I've seen (Evo since Sept 2021). This makes sense because they tried to have this ready by 3.23. Can you imagine if they did release it with 3.23? I had very few bugs, a good test all in all.
Just curious if XL concept ships count toward the "largest owned" ship for the purposes of hangar assignment, or if its only flight ready largest owned...
Thought of something with the levitating cargo carriers. If we can put it in our ships, we can use SCUs of boxes or even furniture as cover, then while one guy pushes it, 4 or 5 people get on it with weapons and shoot all bad guys. This could make clearing Distribution centers Very fun, funny and interesting. You can now basicaly do a Drive by in Star Citizen.

Big ThanX for keeping us in the loop @SaltEMike What scares the crap out of me, is the time sink on time sink in relation to now having to use these consoles to get equipment, armor, weapons etc. If this is not working when CIG releases this into the PU, it will be even more time sink and waste of time playing! How will claiming your ship at another location work? Storage in ships will also be persistent right? So put a gun down in ship, store ship, spawn ship, gun remains in ship. What happens if you do a claim at another station? Does the ship claim also bring the gun you put down? if yes will this work the same with cargo?
Hopefully they add being able to spawn your ship in another person's hangar soon...not just for friends but it also opens up the possibility to sell cargo to other players which will be an amazing feature for the game. Smuggle a bunch of weevle eggs into your hangar and then sell them at a reduced price to someone willing to risk the trip to sell them etc.
Ah just remembered that you can send cargo down the elevator in someone else ls hangar....so in the meantime you could sell cargo to others by calling it up and then the buyer sends it down into their own storage. Obviously being able to call a ship in another's hangar will be nice but not a blocker for selling as I thought
Waiting an extra subpatch cycle for these features has sucked but I gotta say I'm not just impressed but excited. For a first patch the issues seem pretty fixable by live. Hangar size being based on just what you pledge for is stupid. Outside of my vulture I am trying to only pledge for ships you can't get in game. So because I have over $800 of small ships, I get small hangars even though I own a Phoenix in game.

Well this is a fun thing to wake up to :3
Hangar size being based on just what you pledge for is stupid. Outside of my vulture I am trying to only pledge for ships you can't get in game. So because I have over $800 of small ships, I get small hangars even though I own a Phoenix in game.
