I have both ships and decide which one to take out based on my mood and time i have for that session. With the current pricing i just go for hull stripping. Can use the vulture and come back with a comfortable 300k plus in less than an hour. Its good for when work was rough, the kids are awake, or i have a "honey do list" to finish. I use the reclaimer when i feel like just staying out there for days, taking contracts or scanning down locations. The trips back and forth to the trade terminals is more annoying to me than hull stripping so that makes the reclaimer especially helpful to avoid that.
so what I understand you get better salvage yield from panels floating in space like asteroids at any Lagrange (like Hur-L1/Hur-L5) points. check those out.
@@supersasquatch I saw a video, you scan, after locating it reduce speed to 100....keep scanning and approaching, when you scan and it NOT show up, REDUCE THE SPEED BELLOW 50 to wait to renderize.
@@supersasquatch the trick is to scan and look at the little icons that pop up. if the signal strength is divisible by 2,000 then it's a panel. If it's something weird like 1850 for your signal, it'll end up being minable ore or something. When you're about 3 or 4km away from the scan, slow down to like 60 speed, and keep scanning. Server has to spawn the panels in and if you go too fast, you'll miss them. For the vulture, it's 100x worth it to spend the 4k uec and upgrade your salvage heads. I use 2x abrade, but one abrade and one trawler is pretty good too, I've seen.
I have been panel scraping in my Vulture and have been netting myself about 750k an hour by parking my MSR in a random spot around Yela and transferring my cargo after about every 40 scu. After three loads, I am sitting on about 1.5mn which does not take that long because the scrap panels give RCM at a way faster rate than ships. 100% the way to go for Vulture owners right now. You don't need a cargo ship to do this, but cutting back on the amount of times you need to go to TDD will earn you more money. You are also not relying on missions for you income here. You just go out and find the panels.
@@alexandredelamaide1079 If you go to any asteroid field and scan for any signatures in intervals of 2000, you will find scrap panels to salvage. Couple things don't compute for me so I wanna ask: 1. I've been able to fit max 38 SCUs in my Vulture, 24 in the hold, 13 in the dust container and 1 in process, where do you put the extra 2, there is virtually no more space? 2. The 750k/h i am guessing is with the MSR parked, but still you have to transfer all the SCU boxes from ship to ship, I do Yela > Orison which actually takes little time, i don't think much longer than you returning to the MSR since is all short Quantum jumps (only landing takes a few mins the rest is fast) and each unloading (38 SCU) takes at least 10 mins, I average 450k/45mins which is equivalent to 600k/hour from there to 750k looks like a stretch, am i missing something?
Ive been making some really good money in my vulture skipping the salvage missions and finding the floating pannels. No money up front and sometimes you can find enough of them to more then fill your ship with rmc.
You guys should know that you can also salvage players ships that are lying around also! Fly to frequent trading routes like rappel to area 18 i guarentee you will get atleast 1 or 2 hercules to farm for free cash. Also just soft kill players ships and farm them that way. Its a lot of fun and easy to do have made 10+ mil with this strat
If you want to use the lower hold, 8 scu boxes are much easier to move. Also, use the big industrial tractor beam, it makes the boxes much easier to rotate and move.
Yes as of 3.23.0 ladder did not work for me either!, but I just upgraded my vulture to the reclaimer so hope someone else has a solution for you!! o7 for the video, great content!!🤙🏽👏🏽😁
When you salvage with the Vulture and a hammerhead mission you can fit like 38 SCU of recyceld Material in 30 min. and it brings you like 500k straigth!
I prefer to sell at either area 18 or microtech. the admin terminals are near the TDD. Saves walking around time. In the vulture i just put two trawlers and two abrades on it, and hull scraping goes a lot faster.
Great video but one small criticism if you are in-fact collecting the salvage to maximize profit. You just wasted like 75% of the salvage from that hammerhead by disintegrating all the pieces at once. The salvagers in processing ONLY hold 240 scu total of material and there are two pieces of hammerhead that are 400 scu each so once you collect one piece of hammerhead the salvagers are full and the rest gets lost. You have to disintegrate each piece one at a time and STOP then run down and process the salvage to empty the salvagers for each piece until you have completed processing the entire hammerhead. Its not convenient but if you don't do it that way you lose most of the hammerhead.
so the actual hull scraping (recycled Composite Materials) is way more profitable then the (munch) recourse i tow out of area then scrape then fracture then scrape then munch way more auec
In a vulture it's so hard to find the space to store guns but in a Reclaimer I agree with you. I am going to start pulling guns and maybe even components to store in the Cargo room.

Then nerfed it after they got their selling point . They did the same with salvage it seems . Now the new thing is medical ships being all capable of respawning on . Wonder how many medical ships they will sell before nerfing it . I am starting to understand what’s going on here .
There is zero reason to salvage ships now. CM is useless and the buy-in cost is too high. There are free panels to strip for RMC floating all over Lagrange points.
