I think you did a really good job explaining your thoughts on which lens you liked better and for what purpose. I would like to add some constructive criticism. When you're say "this lens", you might want to let the viewer know what that lens is often. You might have switched hands or lenses which makes it hard for the viewer to follow which lens you're talking about. Otherwise, good job and I agree with a lot of your thoughts.
I use this fantastic lens on my A7R3. With the focal range 16-35 you need only this lens, not a 20 and additional a 35 mm lens. And when i'm make pics in towns or landscape, so i use f8. You don't need f2,8 or better for this kind of photographie. Well, i know about the better quality of the 16-35 GM, but the price and the weight are to much for my use.
Hopefully I wasn’t too negative. I believe this lens isn’t excellent at anything but it’s still a very good all around lens. I enjoyed it while I used it but was able to upgrade which I’ll go in the next few videos.
I'm looking for a good solid Real estate lens. I'm torn between the 16-35 F4 or the Sigma 14-24 or the Tamron 17-28. If I go with the Tamron, maybe get the samyang 14mm just in case I want to go wider. I don't know. It's a decision I will always be second guessing.
Specific to real estate, I would recommend the 14-24. The 17 on the Tamron never feels wide enough. The 16-35 gets the job done but some rooms going to 14mm can really make a difference. The sigma is gonna be sharper and more versatile than the Samyang while keeping your lines more straight. But it’s also more expensive so you just gotta set your budget as the Samyang is still excellent for the price. For reference, I have the 12-24GM for real estate and I find even the 12mm too wide many times and end up going to around 14-15mm. But the GM’s do have the least distortion which I prefer.
