We used to have a few huckleberry bushes years ago when we lived east of Pine Grove. The berries were ripe in July or August. Thanks for this lovely video!
Thanks, Cliff for the introduction to this rare and unique plant!
Nice area I remember huckleberries.
Very cool you’re up in my area. I live in town in New Bloomfield
Really enjoyed that thanks Cliff. Think that was a great idea to pollinate from another box plant. Love trees and plants . Thanks for taking me along. Please take care
That was very interesting. Why are they called"box". What do they taste like other than having a hard seed. Pretty area. Stay safe ❤❤❤❤
They are called "box" because their leaves resemble boxwood leaves.
@@mnk.7310 oh,ok. Thanks
@@mnk.7310That was my thought as well.
Great video
Welcome to the neighborhood! Lots of cool stuff here in PeCo!
Hi Cliff- thanks again for the Botanical Trek! Learned many plants you show also grow here in NW Arkansas! Also find as many Covered Bridges as possible! ☮️&🌱
Great video Cliff
Cool info thanks for sharing! God Bless 🙏🙏🌺
We used to take class trips there
Thanks Cliff.
Thanks, very interesting plant. I'm only familiar with western/mountain huckleberries. They don't have noticeable seeds and are sweeter than blueberries.
There are colonies of them in the river hills of southern Lancaster County if you know where to look.
I remember talking to you about this area, very interesting stuff. Thanks for the tour.
Very cool. Thanks, Cliff.
I DO like a good huckleberry pie.
how do you deal with the bugs in the summer do you have s thermacell >?
interesting how the state protects history and nature in some areas and destroys it in other areas. Dose one hand know what the other hand is doing , I think not in most cases
Great video
