This is a great video, I’m currently enlisted and just took the afoqt. Trying to be non rated and got a 10 in math and 18 in verbal do you think this is a good score for me to apply? Or should I retake it to be more competitive?
Thank you! I would say non rated don’t necessarily need as high of score as rated do. But may I ask what you’re applying for? Is it ROTC, OTS, Academy?? Just so I can give a better answer.
Good morning Faith! I’m a 250 this semester 😊I am trying my best to get selected for FT. Do you think the AFOQT is a must (meaning I have to score high) to get selected ? What other things I can do to better my chances on getting selected! Thank you so much 🎉
Hi! Being a 250 is no joke but it’s doable! Your score doesn’t matter too much unless you want to go rated. As far as increasing your chances, just do your best and take your training seriously. You have more to learn in less time so it’s all about putting in the work!
i was watching so intensely about to buy the study book & all to realize that as a graduating high school im required to take the ASVAB first LOL. is it still as difficult or would you offer different tips ?
So if you are going enlisted, then yes, you take the ASVAB. However, if you are going the officer route for Air Force, you take the AFOQT. I would say the ASVAB is easier than the AFOQT. The ASVAB has more high school level questions/problems whereas the AFOQT is more college based. My tips would change for the ASVAB. It wouldn't need as much preparation as the AFOQT! But still study so you have a better selection of jobs!
Passing the AFOQT means you qualify for any non rated job. Non rated tend to be office jobs while rates tends to be jobs that involve being on an air craft
To be an Air Force officer in general, you have to pass the AFOQT. So in your early cadet stages, you have to pass the the physical assessment, medical, and the AFOQT. Make sense?? So I wouldn’t think of it as a job requirement because it’s an officer requirement. You don’t start thinking about what jobs you want until closer to commissioning when you’ve passed all requirements.
@@genjustice4766you get dropped from USAFA, however in order to get into the academy you need high SAT scores, and I passed and did average on the AFOQT as someone that got a 900 on the SAT (Not joking)
I swear you the goat!! Hope you are doing everything you set out to do!!
Thank you so much!!!
I appreciate this so much , as a sucky test taker 👏🏽👏🏽😌

How long did you study for the test?
All summer! So about 2.5 months.

Good morning Faith 🙏🏼 question. If I wanted strictly office jobs and I passed the quantative and Word portion does that mean I qualify for any jobs?

Some jobs on the Website put it out there that's required and I don't see it on some ? Does every job require it ?

How do I know if i am going for a non-rated job?
Everyone picks whether or not they want to go rated or non-rated. So it won’t be a surprise!
merci
if you fail all 3 that’s it huh ? are you drop from the class ?
Yes. There’s a waiver but it’s extremely hard to get.
Do you know if the Air force academy require AFOQT test? I looked at the website it only had to take SAT.
The AFOQT is required before commissioning, for admission to USAFA you need the SAT and/or ACT.
@@123MineMan321 What will happen if you don't pass AFOQT but you are already in USAFA? I heard that you have only 3 chances to pass AFOQT.
