Love this I’m joining next month 😓
I thought I recognized you from somewhere. It was your TH-cam Channel. Thank you for all the information about the PAO ma'am!
Is your husband a PA Officer too?
I did Civil Air Patrol and i actually loved wearing the blues. I felt so sharp and put together. But seriously you look great!
Awe thank you so much!!
Ayeee i was just watching your tik toks and now found your TH-cam ☺️. I’m considering going into the Airforce (preferably as an officer). Thank you for sharing your experience ❤.
Awe thank you so much!!🤍happy I was able to help
Are you a Air Force officer?
Yes :)
You can get the books at the library and the library has digital practice questions for free
so did you pick your AFSC and found out your duty location before shipping to FT?
negative. It all happens after
Do I have to jump out of a plane
I hope you see this message. Im planning on joining the air force and I want to become an officer. It has always been a dream of mine to serve in the miltary, but I was watching another video of some other air force officers saying that you will have "blood on your hands". That you will have to make decisions to get people killed. So my question is: do all air force officers make decisions on "blwong things up" and sending people to kill others? I know this might sound like a crazy question, but I'm asking to see if this is something that I'll have the strength to do. Thank you and God bless.
Different career fields for different officers it really depends on the career field your in i believe
I swear you the goat!! Hope you are doing everything you set out to do!!
Thank you so much!!!
what is it called??!
Love these vids
Im about to start picking PE credits but i really would rather do JROTC people have been telling me that its really hard, that im going to be doing that to no purpose, and im really nervous so ive been anxiously working on building strength and posture this summer and im still super nervous can you please tell me more about JROTC and if i should actually join it? ❤
Or as i like to call it psyops
I love what you’ve been able to document! It’s so cool how you’re super passionate about your work and also creating content. You have shown the best balance between work and play. Keep up the great work!
Good information. Thanks for sharing.
Can I apply for US Air force public affairs career after high school?
As a teenager who wants to join the air force I love these videos thank you!
That makes my heart smile! Thank YOU!
😂😂😂 I didnt mind it. At leats we had the option of skirt or pants... I chose the pants 💯 😂 Was in AFJROTC for 4 years while in high school. Still know how to tie a tie 👔 😂
I loveee the pants with the pumps
I'm not military, but I relate to that feeling 😂
😂😂
♥️
Happy bday
❤
You look really nice in AF Blues!
Thank you so much!
I love your videos, they are super entertaining! Can you please make a video on your career in the military. I am enlisting and am interested in public affairs as well. Thank you!
Thank you so much! Sure I can work on that ☺️
where do I start, I love this video. Extremely entertaining. The vibes are vibing. It's well informed, entertaining, and chill. I can really binge watch all of your videos, and it's not because youre my best friend but because you DO THIS! You're the ish! Please post more, and I will do better at posting as well haha
This brought me to tears🥹 thank you so much Sandy ❤️
@@faithapowers of course!
Eu acho que você está mais parecido com uma comissária fofa mesmo 💗
the ferst thingithot of you is you pretty as fuck
Jrotc… feel ya
Also did JROTC! :)
I’m loving this era on you!! 🤩🤩
Thank you so much!🥰🥰🥰
You put so much great insight into being in PA in your videos! Also, Sushi in the background was so cute. What are some tips you have for OCP uniforms so you get ready really quickly?
Thank you so much (Sushi also says thank you)! For my uniform, I literally just throw it on lol. After a while, you get a system in order for you and doesn’t feel as slow. I just lay out my uniform in the order I put it on tbh lol
@@faithapowersOf course! That makes sense, and how does stationing work?
It was so much fun shopping for homes and thanks for sticking it out! It was a long day but we saw plenty of great options!
Thanks for showing us great options! A long day but so worth it.
if you fail all 3 that’s it huh ? are you drop from the class ?
Yes. There’s a waiver but it’s extremely hard to get.
Love the content as always!! I appreciate the transparency and a better understanding of PA!!
Thank you so much!! 😭🥰
For the duffel bag is there anyway that we are supposed to put our OCPs in there or a way to put everything to fit in there?
It’s like playing jenga lol! If I can remember correctly, I put my heavy gear at the bottom and toiletries and ocps more at the top. And hangers on the sides. I kinda made a block like shape so it was easy to carry and hold
@@faithapowers Thank you so much! I am going to field training soon and I have a little more questions. Is there anyway I can ask you them individually?
Hello reenlisting to the Air Force from the army! How do I become an officer with the Air Force?
Hi!! There are three ways to become an officer - the Air Force academy, ROTC, or Officer Training School (OTS)
hiii i love your videos! i was wondering since i want to be a public affairs also in the AF, what are the chances you get stationed overseas? i would love to travel the world and see new places outside of the us with my job. Thanks!!!
Hi thank you so much!! Air Force Public Affairs allows for many overseas opportunities. Our job is needed and can be at almost every base so we have a lot options to travel around the world. Hope that helps!
which AFROTC program would you recommend i go with while in college?: ASCP or SOAR
Hi! Forgive me but I don’t know those terms. They sound familiar.. but I’m not entirely sure
What can I expect my first year of afrotc?
Expect to feel excited, lost and overwhelmed! It’s going to be a lot at once but you’ll be with other new cadets going through the same thing. At first, it’ll be overwhelming because it’s your first year of college and learning ROTC. Eventually you’ll learn how to balance everything.
What tips do you have for someone that is 32 years old joining ROTC? Who is already an enlisted in the reserve?
I would try to have an open mind and be a menor. A lot of our prior enlisted or older cadets were very experienced but some would be close-minded or “know it alls.” ROTC is not like the Air Force. It’s kind of like a game and you’re competing. Enlisted know how to be in the Air Force better but that won’t necessarily translate to being good in rotc all the time. Be a mentor. As said, prior enlisted or older cadets can look down on the rest for various reasons. Understandably, the traditional cadet will be annoying bc we haven’t experienced life yet! But we appreciated when you guys took the time to mentor us and help us. You’ll have skill sets that others are still trying to develop. You will have a lot to offer so offer it! Hope that helps !
It sure does. Thank you so much 🙏🙏
Do you have any advice for anyone who will be a 100 in the fall?
Consider the first two weeks a trial run. Just show up prepared and listen to what the senior cadets and cadre are telling you. Fail early! See what your weakness is now so you have as much time to correct it. Don’t let a weakness deter you. More than likely, you’ll have trouble with the PFA, the AFOQT, or general cadet stuff like warrior knowledge, drill, or leadership skills. But everyone will so just practice! Make friends and don’t be a jerk to make yourself look better. You have plenty of time to prove yourself. Hope that helps. Enjoy your first year 😊
Thank you so much! That helps a lot.
Quick question, i know its an older video but anything special when requesting 35P & trying to guarantee a shot at it? Other than the normal bachelors and good test score.
No worries. I’m an rotc grad so (I think) a huge part of getting your #1 job is your cadet ranking. Academy grads tend to get their number one regardless. For rotc, I find that your chances increase when you’re in the top third of your class. There’s also a little box where you can add a statement with your dream sheet. Use that box and advocate for yourself. They definitely read it. PA is such a small career field and very selective so then take it all into consideration.
@@faithapowers Thank you LT keep killing it out there.
Ur so beautiful
Hi Faith! I am a new subscriber and girl, I am LOVING your channel, yasss!!!!! I would've never thought that the AF offered Public Affairs! That is so amazing and you are right, your role is the "face" of the Air Force. We definitely need a get to know me video!!
Hi!! Omg thank you thank you thank you. Your kind words came just at the right time. I appreciate your encouragement and suggestion! Hopefully I can express more of who I am throughout time and more vlogs. Thank you again❤️
@@faithapowers I am in the process of finishing up my Master of Social Work and I am interested in pursuing a career with the Air Force in hopes to be their Clinical Social Work. I love seeing videos of people speaking about their officer experience in the military. I did notice that there is not enough representation of Black or Brown women in the military, specifically the USAF, on TH-cam. So I am excited to see your videos because it gives me hope!! Thank you, and I wish you and your family endless blessed days❤
@@medline5140 that’s amazing! What Air Force job are you interested in? I love making videos for that very reason. There aren’t a lot of black women in the Air Force at all and I want to represent so others see themselves in the same position. and I want to see more of me in the field as well! I hope my videos continue to help with that. I do it out of pure love and intent of helping others.
❤😮😮❤❤
this is the job im pursuing on my reenlistment ! do you have any advice for the ASVAB ?
Hi! Unfortunately I never took the ASVAB. Officers take the Air Force Officer Qualification Test (AFOQT) so I have a video of study tips on that. Not sure if that helps but I wish you luck!
If you don’t mind us asking what does your husband do in the Air Force ?
Im so glad I have found your channel! Im an youtuber, photographer & videographer, and My girlfriend and I are wanting to go to the air force as an officer. We are both in college and dint know if we should go after college or during. Can you make a video going over the proccess of you and your husband going active and what advice yall would have for couples thats interested in becoming a officer and what benifits it comes with.
Thank you and congratulations to you and your girlfriend! Sure we can work on a video about the joint spouse process :)
currently in the process of talking w recruiters and seeing where it takes me. I really want to be a PAO 😭 i was told they weren't hiring until may 2025 but i want to go nowwwwwwww. 🤞🏻
I’m wishing you the best of luck! PA is a small career field but it’s amazing
