really makes u realize just HOW OP the characters from the prequels/clone wars truly were. maul, grievous, anakin, obi wan, windu, yoda, dooku etc. would all wipe the floor with the ghost crew in less than 30 seconds. truly an age of legends and monsters.

In Rebels, you see that Ezra and Kanan aren't warriors but peacekeepers. I like that aspect a lot, but I really miss the OP-ness of Anakin and co having massive lightsaber skills. It was fun to watch those epic fights. In rebels it's like watching one of the sequel star wars films: just a couple of kids using lightsabers like a baseball bat...

The main cast in most things Star Wars always has obvious plot armor. I think this crew is pretty safe. However, as Zeb appears to be getting less character development this season, if I'd have to make an educated guess, I'd say he might be dead at some point before the end of the season.

Mandolorian armour can take a beating from a lightsaber, as demonstrated in the Mandolorian.
@@caseypitt1296 ...you want to put that theory up to the test with the Mandalorians in The Clone Wars? Lightsabers don't seem to have a problem cutting then. Besides, it's beskar specifically which is resistant to lightsabers, which as has been stated was exceedingly rare. As far as I'm aware, Din is about the only one with a full suit of it.

@@zazi5305 in the Clone Wars, the only times Ive seen a Mandolorian getting struck by a lightsaber was in the neck, which is usually exposed. Besides, Sabine's armour has shown a tolerance to laser blasts anyway.

My favorite parts of this show is when the Rebels get their asses handed to them by the antagonists. Its like therapy after watching them have plot armor for the whole show’s runtime
Maul is one BADASS character in the Rebel Series
Luke Solo The most badass. He fought solo the three inquisitors in Malachor.
Also note how the inquisitors need a rotation disc in their blade to make the blade spin while Maul just does it no problem the old school way.

It took Maul literally 15 Seconds to take them all out (Zeb in 9) and he spent half of it upside down
Ballsy, but they seriously shouldn't have thought they could take on a Sith Lord - even if out of official practice a long time - and not get smacked around.
It is easy to kill Jedi and Sith. If you get them by surprise such as their own troops firing on them or if you attack them from multiple directions.

Maul is one of those villains that, even if he loses every time, is still terrifying and completely convinces you he could succeed. It’s only because if any of his plots succeeded, they would demolish the order of things, that he never does. Negative plot armor.
wtf? he doesn't lose every time. The only time he actually lost fairly was against sidious. Rebels was just him extremely exhausted and insane and being outsmarted by Kenobi.
He don't lose all time, he killed Qui-Gon, he beaten some random jedi foes, he defeated Savage, same with Obi-Wan repeteadly, as well with Pre-Vizla, against The three Inquisitors, with Grievous, and Ahsoka

The lost to tpm kenobi, he lost to kenobi in a 2v1 in rivival, he lost against ahsoka, he lost against, Kanan, he lost against old Ben, he lost against grievous on zenbar, he got humiliated by Sidious, he got badly out manoeuvred and would have died to the fin etray.
He managed to kill qui gon, make a beat up and mentally not ready kenobi retreat, even though he got shit on prior to using dun moch, he managed to overpower a non full out savage with a massive knowledge advantage, he kicked aayla secura once.

I prefer Maul in Clone Wars better, he is much more threatening, more calculating, and has a deadly vibe coming off him. I understand that Sam Witwer is trying to develop the character by adding to his psychotic rage, but it is slightly harder to take Maul in Rebels seriously.

Mate what are you talking about. I ain't pissed. It's ok to give your opinion, I won't get offended. And I can agree the Rebels version of Maul has more complex characterisation and motivations. I'm MY opinion Clone Wars Maul is more sinister, threatening, and cool. But some say he wants what every Sith wants, build an empire and take over. I would agree with and understand why you like Rebels Maul. He is more intellectual and manipulative, but more, has a very compelling goal, and is more human, more relatable: he wants hope. He wants his life to mean something, and that takes his character in a more interesting discussion. Don't worry about voicing your opinion, all of this Star Wars stuff is up for discussion. Maul is honestly one of my most favourite characters throughout Star Wars fiction.

-survived order 66
-took over mandalore
-took over the death watch
-survived a fight with Darth Sidious
-was cut in half but survived
-force sensitive
-killed a Jedi Master
-can throw his saber
-Order 66 was only meant to kill Jedi, Maul was never a Jedi
-Sidious was just playing with him, wasn't even trying to kill Maul
-This point is unnecessary, A Sith lord who isn't force sensitive is ridiculous
-Not just 1 Master, he killed several Jedi throughout his life, including Younglings, Jedi Knights and Jedi Masters
