Dude! Love it, you go to so much effort and to such an impressive level of detail! Fascinating. I totally thought you were going to fall in love with those shiny red brembos and talk yourself into somehow fitting them though!!
Thanks mate. There was a serious amount of work in this video so I'm glad you enjoyed it. Ha ha yeah I'd have loved to but wheel size is critical to good handling so there was no way of shoehorning them in
I had same dilemma- went to hispec & they designed me a custom carrier to mount monster 4 pot calipers utilising e39 discs . These just fit under my 15” mim wheels & have a massive choice of pads
mate this is insane amount of work included in this ... i was thinking about having brakes done on my e21 , and this video is so helpful and explains everything ... I will defo be interested to buy those brackets or even stl file.let me know ... great job MAN ... well impressive
@gibon1080 thanks mate, yeah it was a serious job getting this video out! Unfortunately just having the brackets won't help as I have E36 hubs and discs (see episode 1) which moves the caliper position. If you still have E21 discs this brake setup won't work. If I find a solution that means I can sell the kits then I'll let you know 👍
The Australians used the front Ford Falcon caliper the are massive and a direct bolt on : I have found these on the 2004 GTO in the USA. There is also Wildwood dual piston calipers
@@OctaneVein calipers are off a 2004 GTO and are marked K247-037C they also say made in Australia 🇦🇺. They are a direct bolt on just need a small washer or spacer to center them
@@OctaneVein guys in Australia 🇦🇺 on the forum told us. They have a lot of Ford Falcons so they figured it out. We have Ireland Engineering that offers a front Wildwood kit, I have the massive brakes e21 front kit. Going to get the Ford GTO brakes then Wildwood Massive brakes all around
Hi, i liked a lot the content. i did a z3 m44b19 swap in my e21 315 (motor, gearbox, lsd differential, electronic) but i’m looking to improve my suspension and brakes. what i have to study to do the amazing measurements in computer??… sorry but i’m just a 20 year old from chile, here isn’t had that technology to do perfect jobs i want to improve my car and knowledge so can you tell me what to study? 😅
Well done for doing the swap dude. Mechanical and/or Automotive Engineering would be a great start. But hands on experience is also very valuable. Good luck man
hey dude, I just picked up an 83 320i e21 as it was abandoned near my house and would like some pointers as far as engine swaps go, would you be willing to help me out?
@rootbeershelf4406 that's a great find, glad you've rescued it. I'm not sure I'll be able to help you out I'm afraid, I barely have time to work on mine!! What engine swap are you planning? There's probably plenty of info online already if you need any guidance.
Great video and looking forward to the next episode. The best E21 and car build content I've seen on TH-cam for a while.
Thanks very much Ladsculture, glad you enjoyed it 👍

Awesome video! Can't wait for the next one!
Thanks @claiyray. Glad you enjoyed it
Another awesome vid!
Thanks David 👍
The e21 is so amazing👍
@needforspeedgarage2003 Thanks so much 👍

That sounds like a lot of brake under a 15" wheel. Good work 💪

Thanks Moisés, I am working on the next video and will try and get it out soon. Thanks for subscribing 👍

@jjgbmw323 Thanks for the info. It's always good to learn of other OE parts that fit straight on 👍

Buying an e21 78 320i, your content is definitely helpful for my project. E36 brakes are in my future, but will your bracket be available?
Thanks for the feedback Ken, glad you found the video useful. I don't have any plans to sell the brackets yet but if I do I'll let you know
Better use a E34 disc (302x28mm) with a caliper from 996 Porsche. Much more simple to adapt.
@haraldlachmund2433, thanks for the info, I didn't know about that conversion. Can you still run 16" rims?
If you give me your Email, i'll send you all information about.
@haraldlachmund2433 Thanks, I'd be interested in that. Can you send it on Facebook messenger to the Octane Vein account?
