Love this whole series of videos! Question: did you swap out the rear break rotors as well, along with your suspension for front and back, or did you keep that OEM?
Your best bet is to check a local parts store. I believe earls fittings online would probably have some too. Also check out chase bays random fittings section, lots of cool conversion fittings there! Good luck
@@slightlyMADcustoms Cool. Did you guys also did any measurements on the bore sizes of these calipers vs the stock e30? Some say the surface area turns out to be the same on forums.
How deep in are you money wise? can you make a video highlighting front to back costs for people who want to maybe take on a build like this? thanks! (peeeeannnnutttbutttttttta insidessssss)
I believe I will land around $20K. But that’s also because I’ve done so much more than just what the V8 swap requires. I was planning to make a video just like that once I was wrapped up with the build. That way I can say confidently what it would cost with every little detail addressed
your videos are slick! Well produced, clear, good audio, no BS - should have more viewers - gonna go smash some of your like buttons
Thanks Daniel!
Love to watch you’re videos, they help me a lot by rebuilding my E30.
Greetings from Germany
Glad to help! I usually make videos that I wish I had when I was trying to figure it all out haha
Doing this swap ordered all the parts so can't wait to get it all together.
Nice! Good luck
@@slightlyMADcustoms what did you do for the rear ? Same setup ?
I kept the stock 325i calipers. Not sure what’s available for rear upgrades
Super helpful video! Thank you for putting all that info in the description.
No worries! Glad I could help
Love this whole series of videos! Question: did you swap out the rear break rotors as well, along with your suspension for front and back, or did you keep that OEM?
The rear rotors and calipers are stock 325i E30. The suspension is BC racing
Where do you find these available to buy right now? seems to be out of stock everywhere!
Sorry I have no idea. You could try contacting Mazda directly? Or maybe eBay
Can you use rx7 calibers on a 4 lug to 5 lug conversion thks
Good question… no idea. You’d have to find a 5 lug rotor with the same diameter, width, and offset
Good content my guy
Fight me
Any suggestions on where I can buy those brackets? Garagistic is way behind the production, the same as CaTubed. Thanks
Darn! No I think those might be the only two companies that make it!
Was this done on the front & back or just the front?
Just the front, there’s different options for rear
Can you fit a 15” wheel around the rx7 calipers?
You can but depending on how much space your specific wheel design gives plays a huge role.
For me I has to use 24mm spacers to clear the callers
What are the specs of the wheels please?
15x9 ET0 225/45/15
What rims are those my man.
7twenty style 44 15x9 ET0
Does this work for my e30 ix awd
Not sure
Does the FD3C AND FD3S both calipers do fit in perfect?
I’m not sure on that. All I know is the ones I listed work with those brackets
What calipers do you run in the rear with this setup
Stock e30 325i calipers
Thanks
what size rim/tire setup do you have?
15x9 et 0
225/45/15
look great your wheels . what name of wheels? and spec?

slightlyMADcustoms thank you !
Nice vid. Working on doing the exact setup. Where did you get the M10x1.0 inverted to bubble fitting? I'm having a hard time sourcing the part. Thanks

What master cylinder and brake booster are you running these with?
Chase bays boosterless set up
@@slightlyMADcustoms Cool. Did you guys also did any measurements on the bore sizes of these calipers vs the stock e30? Some say the surface area turns out to be the same on forums.
No I have no idea sorry. But I ended up going back to stock calipers because the pedal was too hard to press with the booster delete
@@slightlyMADcustoms Ahh i see i see. haha maybe you need a smaller master cylinder? Btw, did you had to cut the backing plate for it to fit?
Ya I’m sure a different master would help. I had to cut the dust shield to make room for the bigger calipers
@SlightlyMAD - first time viewer here. Thanks for the video.
What’s wheels and spec are the wheels??
7twenty style 44
15x9 ET0

Hey...did you have to bore out those rotors? thanks...
Yes I did! The centre hub bore needed to be englarged by 1mm. I brought it to a local machine shop and they charged me around $60

Geat job
Thanks
Anything happening to the rears?
P.S: You guys should have more viewers :]
Rears will have stock calipers but some nice high quality pads and rotors. They’ll also be getting the grey paint.
P.S: thanks
