You both deserve a good rest and go on a long holiday together . Well done for the hard work all these years. I love the cakes and kueh kueh from the shop. Maybe in the future you can conduct part time classes on how to make the kueh kueh . That will be nice , at least you can organise your time to suit you . God bless both of you for serving us with delicious kueh kueh :))

Sad to see it gone. Is there other good bakery around?

Their angmo cakes and pastries were mundane, and they got a wake up call after Tiong Bahru Bakery added strong competition in 2012. That's when they concentrated on Nonya confections. That's the innovation and intellectual property they brought to the competition. The complaining and overpaid singaporean white-collar wage earners need to learn from this generation.

haiyaa youngsters they always like that tough n rough business don't want to take care of.
they prefer taking care of high standard cafe because can hire more youngsters n make friends rather than auntie uncle bread shop.
They also will get a long stare or get embarrassed from a friend doing that.
I think no young generation would want to get hired by this shop.
they prefer cafes, or pastry shop at good locations.

Mostly there is no reward in tough and rough business. You can make more or less the same amount in a less tiring job. Which will you choose?

@@cancanjaker1620 The problem is GenY and GenZ do not add any innovation, productivity or gain Intellectual Property from those "less tiring job". Singaporeans are overpaid for their rather low talent and skill level.
