It's unfortunate that a good, kind and generous man like Mr. Tata had to spend his life all alone. But then this could also be the reason he could afford to singularly focus on building the Tata Group and take it to the great heights he did. And in the bargain he got the love, respect and admiration of an entire nation.
Ratan tata was so precious that he never found his true match who would be as precious as him. Anyways, his life was very interesting and thrilling on the professional front. I m sure he must have died peacefully after changing the lives of thousands of people, who he benefited through his charities. A life definitely well-lived.
Brilliant interview. I am proud to be a batchmate of Thomas Mathew who was a shining star even at the Civil Service Academy in Massourie way back in 1983.
Jai Hind sir. Very very tragic story of love that gone through the life of Ratan Tata and remained bachelor till his last breath. The affection towards dog is a reflection of universal love.
Dear Karan, what a great guest. He was extremely courteous and polite. However if I may say so, I felt you were extremely impatient and also abrupt. Matthew was exact, thorough and precise. However above all extremely polite. Please be polite. You weren’t engaging with a corrupt political who needs a grilling!
RATAN TATA JI WAS A MAN WITH A BIG GOLDEN HEART. MAY GOD GIVE HIM ETERNAL REST IN PARADISE WITH ALMIGHTY GOD. GOD BLESS ALL HS COMPANIES,AND HIS WORKERS. GOD BLESS ALL HIS RELATIVES.
Sarcastic smile appearing when talking on marriage issues on the part of guest here, may be wrong but why these things are out immediately after his death. No, it is not so as I am noticing as the conversation goes further, it is his style of conversation.
Why is this so important? His personal life is his alone. His public life is the only thing thst should be your business. This comes across as being nosy. Let him be. By the way, it's hard to believe as this man says that it was only in 2007 that Carolyn looked up Ratan online and discovered that he had become famous. Humbug. Considering he would speak to her on his visits to the US, she would have had to know what he had become. Even when he was dating her she would have known that he was a Tata scion, particularly because of the links her father's firm as well as Kaiser and many other American firms had with the Tatas.
I am surprised that Ms Caroline Jones lost her husband whom she must have been married' for more than fourty years with children, two years after her husband passing away she comes looking out for him.I feel she has no sentimental value.
The promoters advise their employees to avoid gossip "don't worry about things of which you aren't in control". I used to joke since these promoters pick up their lovers, relationships in five-star hotels, among late night partying drunkards - naturally they aren't in control of family relationships, which they switch as they dance. Then, why gossip on that?
😂 what are you two dirty old guys hiding .... There is more , very mundane discussion ..... For a spectacular person 😊 and life . Start again ..... Get someone who knew him and his work.

I've always been fascinated to learn more about Ratan Sir.

I feel a great lose that Ratan Tata is no more among us. A 💎 for India
Nice one. This interview should’ve been 2 hours to allow the author to provide all the lovely nuggets from the life of Mr Ratan Tata.
Lovely Lovely interview! Thankyou Karan

Great interview i wish it would have been 3 hours interview
The relationship Mr Tata had with his servants/helpers is common trait among all parsees
Mai is mother and ji for respect. Parsis call elder ladies Mai ji and some may have called their grandmothers Mai ji
Yes, mai ji, like mata ji , mummy ji etc.
Not my G 😂as he's explaining 😊
Wow! What a legend.
Wow, very insightful.
Single Malt with Karan - the elite version of Koffee with Karan
Let him Rest In Peace.
Like I was watching Tata's young age while listening to the interview.
However...one pertinent Question Remains to be truly Verified...Did he personally Endorse this work or Distanxe himself from it...
He didn't find his match...it had to be some one special
The interview should have been longer, Karen should be little softer
He was the original KAMRAJ
