I Picked up my P365, Last Year. Hides Nicely, For Carry. Shoots Great, while plinking & practicing. Great Balance, with a 12 round mag. With my large hands. I would recommend this, two any of my friends. ( Never Failed Me, while firing it! ) 👍👍👍
i was actually shocked at how little recoil there was in such a small pistol. as far as primer drag, all sub compacts do it as well as many compacts. don't worry about it
I have been shooting almost 50 years now..I love my Glocks and Smiths, the 365 is the best gun I have ever shot..I own 2 of them..not a hiccup with either in 1000+ rounds through each..
I have a Feb 2019 build myself, and I have to agree with you I believe Sig has all the bugs worked out. 500 rounds through mine so far without a hiccup. The more I shoot it the more I love it. I carry mine with the 12 round mag in a Vedder Light tuck. Good quality video great job!
First of all let me say I love Sig pistols. I own 3 and not an issue with any of them. I waited awhile before I bought my 365, because of all the videos I've seen. I bought mine in January and can hardly put it down. I'm closing in on 1000 rds and it has run flawlessly. I've put many different weights and loads through it and have taken Sigs advice and am mainly using 115g ammo now, recoil is good and I'm hitting everything I point at with quick follow up shots. As far as "primer drag", yes mine does it as well, but my son and daughter both have the S&W shield, and a friend has a Taurus G2C, seems all have the same NON ISSUE with drag. I'm not concerned.
I picked one of these up a couple of months ago! I second your comment about the horrible-feeling "thud" when pulling the trigger, haha. You get used to it after a while, but that's a really minor knock when you consider the whole value proposition in this tiny pistol.
I'm ready to take the leap now myself I have 3 Sigs, P226 was my service, P239 my off duty, and 2 years ago I picked up the P238. For me, I've trusted my life to Sig Sauer for 20 years as a street cop, undercover, and HWY and not one problem that was not operators fault. So I'm a believer not paid by them I've used my own money to buy all the guns I own by them and I will be picking up this one as well. Thanks for the great up dated review great job!
Got mine about a month or two ago...it's my new favorite. Great ergonomics, shootability, sights, capacity, ease of concealment, etc. Simply the best all-in- one package. The XL might be my next purchase
@@outdoorsguy4 I regret to say I actually traded my p365 for a g43 w/ (night sights included) and $50 just 2 days ago...I'm kinda kicking myself honestly. I think I got a good enough deal that I can trade up though. What do you think?
Hi, I just received mine with a built date of January 26- 2019 Took it to the range and had multiple failure to feed with federal HST 124 grain hollow points, the Only way to resolve the issue is pushing up on the bottom of the magazine and then the next round will feed. the magazines are also really hard to load without a loader, so the issues are not totally fixed need to send it back to SIG Update, I received it back from SIG they done some polishing of the feed ramp and also the trigger bar and some other magic. Took it to the range shot the same federal HST 124 grain hollow points about 30 rounds of it no failures of any kind also about 150 rounds of 124 grain mag tech FMJ.
Still issues with the Sig? I've been waiting to get the P365. And only defensive ammo I use are the 124 gr Federal HST or the Speer 124gr +P Gold Dot. I guess i'll wait another year and go with something else like the Glock. I really want to get this gun, but if issues still persists I don't bet my life on a gun that will fail to fire or jam when needed most.
Vegasus I haven’t had any issues with mine. I’d say Sig has worked out all the problems at this point. My comment about the grain of ammo was from articles I read about all short barrel handguns, not just the P365. It was stating that larger grain ammo worked better because these guns with short barrels have an extractor that engages much more quickly than the average handgun and the pressures from the larger grain helps. The Federal HST 124 is probably adequate because it is a +P round. I’m using the Federal HST 147. But Federal has also released a HST 150 marketed as for micro handguns. Likewise, Dig’ down ammo for the 365 is a 124. I’d just stay away from 115 personally.
I now have 3,000 rounds through my 365. Love the weapon!!! I would love to buy another one with a safety--but that is me. I carry it in my front pocket with a sticky holster. Just a great little gun! I can roll out a target to 15 yards and as long as I hit it, I am happy. Try putting out a T shirt at 15 yards and see if you can hit it. Remember --no target drawn on shirt. You should be able to hit a vital organ someplace. Practice practice practice!
My family has eight of these great weapons. Everyone an ace. Great trigger and accuracy with night sights you'd have to purchase extra on other guns. Worth every cent.
I bought the *Glock 43X.* I was going to get the G43 but the G43X was just released so for my XXL hands I changed to the longer grip. I shot it for 114 rounds and then very lightly cleaned it & lightly oiled it. After this I shot the G43X - 300 to 400 more times *without any cleaning.* *Report/Review of the Glock 43X* This is a very light, very reliable, accurate, and top concealed carry pistol. The one or two pluses that makes the Glock better for me over the SIG P365 and the S&W Shield (these are the top three (3) CCW guns in the USA). *1. Maintaining* - It is a Glock. This means it is easy to *completely* take apart piece by piece for detailed cleaning. Much more & easier than any gun on the market. l love this as I can do this myself and save time/money to totally clean it or if needed I personally can gunsmith my pistol. *2. Boring Reliability* - At an indoor gun range the small Glock shot all aluminum, brass, & even wolf steel cased fmj bullets without jamming. Not only was the Wolf *black box* 115 gr bullets reliable in the G43X but it was the most accurate of all the bullets. Yes, that was Russian Wolf - cheap & dirty stuff, WHhhhhhaaaaaaAT! I shot HST, Critical Defense, Federal Range & Defense Hollow points... all without jams or anything. *The SIG P365* Would have really bought the SIG P365 if it was reliable in the beginning. I was looking at it hard early on and then the "issues" started popping up with the SIGs - the P320 & the P365. Today's SIG P365 is "probably" reliable because of all the changes SIG, Inc. has done. But since *you don't ever get a second first impression*... I passed for safety concerns & I just don't want a CCW gun that maybe is good. No maybes for self-defense. That what I have experienced.
sweetcostarica That’s the beauty of the gun world man.. so many great firearms to pick from to get exactly what fits your criteria. Glad you’re happy with the 43x though, no secret that Glock makes a good reliable firearm. I understand where you’re coming from, the first problems left a bad taste in a lot of people’s mouths. I think they have it fixed but you definitely can’t make a second first impression.. thanks for the comment!
@@outdoorsguy4 Thanks. Your review was one of the better type on any pistol (IMO). I only have one gun for CCW, the afore mentioned G43X. I might get another pistol for OWB and that would be a SIG P320. Will wait a while though to see if the P320 works out for the military. If not I will get the Glock 19X. Stay safe.
I've been researching the sig p365 and I'm a newbie when it comes to guns. It would be my first handgun and I was wondering what brand of training ammo do you use? I've heard from multiple people that the sig can be kind of picky in terms of the different types of ammo people use for it
Joseph Bukal I hope it all works out for you but I don’t think you can tell if the kinks are truly worked out of it until you put 500 to 1000 rounds through it.
I just got the Massachusetts compliant version with the ambi safety on 6/22/19. The gripes about the magazines being too stiff to load without some sort of loader are right. I use an Uplula, and it solves the problem loading.
Jim Morrison hope it treats ya well. Good deal👍 mine were stiff from the factory but I left them loaded for a while and it made loading much easier from then on
@@davegass1650 I like mine. However, you can use a Magguts replacement spring with follower on your current 8 round Shield mags and get 10 rounds in them. You would have the same 10 + 1 capacity as the P365 for short money. I would give that a try before dropping $500 on a new gun.
@@jonathanm1854 I cannot speak for NC, but the one I access online has a tab called "IDMe". Punch in the last for of your SSN & enter your dates of service & once approved (it takes but a few seconds) you get 10% off for life. Be it a pistol or a pack of Tic-Tacs.
IMO your review is spot on. In February I purchased a P365 with late January build date. I have just under 1K rounds through it without any failures. I have experienced failure to lock back after last round on several occasions but the cause is undoubtedly my thumb contacting the slide lock. Stiker drag is clearly evident on approximately 75% of shell casings, the range of drag being just barely visible to slightly less than than the casings shown in your video. I am amazed at how good the pistol feels in the hand and how well it shoots however, any failure to execute shooting fundamentals well will produce inaccurate results.
Bob P Thanks man! I couldn’t agree more.. it is pretty easy to pull this pistol with out performing with the correct fundamentals. Hope your p365 continues to run well!
failure to execute shooting fundamentals well will produce inaccurate results. Show less which could be said about every small pistol, especially micros.
The striker drag does not affect the function of the pistol. Short compact and micro or sub compact pistols all have it. It is the nature of short pistols. The shorter the slide means shorter distance for the breech to unlock from the chamber. Faster unlocking. This pistol is a micro compact so the drag may show up more than a compact. There is a striker/firing pin return spring on the striker to pull the striker back but it does not do it quite fast enough. If I get 500 rounds through any new pistol with no problems its good to go. I have 481 rounds of various Federal ammo including FMJ Ball, HP, frangible HP, brass and aluminum cased and of those 300 rounds of aluminum cased in my P365MS. It has been flawless through all 481 rounds. It is now going into my carry rotation. I have heard of some extraction problems with Remington brass case rims beyond break in. I do not shoot steel cased but have not heard of any problems with that ammo. After the first 100 rounds most if any ammo problems should go away as the pistol breaks in. Thanks for sharing. For more on an overview from a gun engineer in the link below. th-cam.com/video/dzgcDxhz8ao/w-d-xo.html
I’ve had mine for two weeks. Have about 500 rounds down range and so far not a problem. My friend have shot it, my mom has shot it, the wife has shot it and they all really like the ergonomics of the pistol. Sig must have fixed whatever issues people were having with them. I’m extremely happy with the firearm. I carry it appendix style in a minimal kydex holster. This was my first Sig hand gun. I have an OD green 516 which I really love as well. My next purchase will be one of the Legion models. Not sure next one, but I’m leaning towards the 220. Thank you for the review. I hope yours continues to run flawlessly.
Just got my Ltc and went with mp sheild 2.0 45 acp as my first which the spring broke after 150 rounds, rented this one just for fun and fell in love with it. I'm now officially a Sigger
I have Feb 2019 production and I have roughly 500 rounds through mine and no issues...the primer drag is not an issue from what I can tell so far. It’s an engineering marvel. My local gun shop says they can’t keep them on the shelf despite early issues. So small yet 11-13 round capacity in such a small package. Recoil is very manageable!!! I love mine...it is worth $499...G43s are $449 then you have to spend $100 on sights. Glock Gen 4s had issues early on...IJs
I will pick mines next week. It has an April 2019 date on it. It's as small as my Kahr PM 9, but has a better trigger pull as well as it can hold 4 more rounds.
I carry a Sig Sauer Full frame 45 cal P220 Nitron, single stack, OWB side carry. It's highly customized to the tune of about $1,800.00. Nothing better. So I was looking for a back up, defensive carry only, micro. Of course I looked at the Sig 365 over the counter. At the range last week I was able to rent a newer P 365 and bought 100 rounds 124 gr FMJ ammo. By chance right in the next lane a shooter was running his Glock 43. He was interested in trying the P 365 so we swapped pistols for 50 rounds. I am NOT a fan of "compound triggers" and anything having one is an automatic disqualifier for me. Would NEVER own anything with that "funky" trigger. Not to be rude - I agreed to the short exchange. WOW! The Glock was a completely different animal. It felt bulky, cheap, fat, and had that "creepy" trigger (I am pre biased against that funky trigger). After 50 rounds with that plastic monster, and getting the P 365 back, I purchased another 100 rounds and I did a "melt down"! 100 rounds non-stop (only one magazine so as fast as I could load it). No attempt at accuracy. It ate everything and was SMOKING HOT. Trigger felt WAAAY better than Glock. Fit and finish WAAAY better. Fit in my hand WAAAY better. Snappier and more recoil than the plastic monster, but overall the Sig was a MUCH better pistol. I was even more set against the Glock (first one I fired) and decided that Sig was for me. Great opportunity to compare both pistols side by side.
William Lezotte thanks for the feedback! I like the fit and finish of a sig over a Glock as well.. the p365 is an awesome little unit, hope it treats ya well!
Interesting reply. I own both. I like both. I do like the P365 best. But both are fine guns. Neither feels cheap. People should shoot what they like. You do realize that both are polymer, right?
@@williamlezotte7954 , you must have a different model of P365 than I have. Mine has a polymer frame. Sig calls the bottom portion of the P365 the "grip" and you will see their website identifies the grip as polymer and the frame as stainless. To me, when you disassemble a semiautomatic handgun in preparation for cleaning, the first things you are left with are the slide and the frame. The SIg and the Glock leave you gripping a piece of polymer that houses the trigger, striker, and the stainless steel rails that the slide runs on. When you separate your P220 into two pieces in preparation for cleaning you are left holding an alloy frame and a stainless steel slide. Oh, and the alloy frame happens to have a pair of removable panels Sig calls 'grips'. Apparently Sig can't make up their minds what comprises a grip and a frame.
I loved it so much I bought two!! I have SAS and the one with sights! I can shoot the SAS equally as well as fixed sights....The SAS sight does block some of the target if your shooting some groups, but for self defense in low light close range, its super!
I've handled them a few times in the past. I was very interested in this pistol when they first came out. An then all of the failures started popping up. And then I fondled a few more at a gun show this passed weekend (5/5/19) where I saw several priced at $469 OTD. The gun feels and looks like a quality piece, and I also like the sights quite a bit. With the factory sights, size, capacity, overall fit and finish, this appears to be a great value. IF I could count on them to be reliable. With the very sketchy past, and Sig's refusal to come clean on the issue, it'll take a while before I'd be willing to trust my life to one... My personal opinion is that it's too soon to know if they've got the bugs worked out or not. I've seen several reports of failures with guns produced late 2018. I hope they do get it right. It's a great overall package, if... And it offers too much to not get it right and let it flop. Maybe in a year or two, we shall see...
500+ rounds, a couple of slide fail to lock back--mag problem I think. April 2018 born on, great shooter, no other problems, my edc. Not a big fan of poly frames and strikers, but really like the mag technology and grip. If sig combined the mag capacity and grip size with their 1911 style pistols!!!! Now that would be worth doing. Ya listening sig?!?
Because the gun is so small, many people, including myself, tend to have the thumb resting on the slide release. Try adjusting your thumb so it doesn't ride the slide release. I had this problem along with many others, and that slight thumb adjustment took care of that problem.
@@sigsauer9246 thanks for the info, but my grip is sort of old fashioned, I pin my gun hand thumb with my support hand thumb instead of parallel as is taught these days. This is my old habit from my military days and hard to break and I only do that for my full sized pistols. I know it is a mag problem. Cheers
I have a P365. No problem.. I have the 12 round mag which gives me 13 rounds of defense. Not much drag on the the cases , fires nice. nice to carry with 13 rounds of self defense ... I have a pocket holster and no problem carrying it. Time to get one I would say...
I agree about the trigger. Dry fire is weird. I think it’s mostly the sound. Shooting, the trigger is great. Really different from anything else I have fired before. Your case is different. Mine has these kinda cool double latches but doesn’t have the cut out foam.
Jason Lessard Yes I think the thud sound it makes is what turned me off to it at first.. whole different ball game when you get some live ammo in it. Sig has shipped the p365 with some different cases over the course of them selling them, just depends when you bought yours. Appreciate your feedback!
Jason Lessard interesting.. had a fella comment that had a born on date in late feb, which is what mine is, and said his came w the same case as mine. Not sure about the whole who gets what case thing
Bought the P365 with a build date of May 10, 2019. Love it - fires great, easy to conceal , and fits my hands perfectly. I would say the only negative experience I've had so far is after firing the last bullet; the slide sometimes does not remain in the open position. That said, I liked the pistol enough that I then purchased the P365-SAS, which is my EDC now. Though I will say the target site that comes on the SAS is cool it seems that it's more difficult to pickup quickly. If you're using it in low light conditions it's really hard to see. I suppose I'll use the regular P365 for my evening piece and the SAS for daytime carry. Ha! I agree with most of the points you were making about the pistol and I have very little to complain about so far - I'm right around that 500 round mark for both guns and I'm pretty satisfied. If you're considering buying one of these; it's well worth the purchase, but I'd do a little more research on the SAS if you're considering buying one of those.
The one at the range jammed for me today. After 10 rounds the trigger wouldn’t shoot the bullet. Glock 43 ran flawlessly. I was gonna get it but I’m changing to Glock 43. No point in having extra bullets when they won’t come out.
No. You sound like a limp wrist guy. Post after post and thousands of rounds of flawless function, speaks volumes. So your post is a joke. Got it pussy?
Something about your story makes me doubt this actually happened to you.The gun you rented had a dead trigger after exactly 10 rounds? Did you check if it was a light primer strike, or a popped primer?
Guys I think hes joking, the gun holds 10 rounds and he said it wouldn't shoot after 10 rounds... Its a joke like "yeah my Sig wouldnt shoot! It was out of bullets"
Good presentation. There's an Israeli Orthopedic Dr who served in the Army for 27 years said you can accurately shoot this pistol with the flush fit magazine if you rest your pinky under the magazine. Good video.
I bought my p365 what's than a month ago I have no problems with my Striker fire hitting the firing pin in the doesn't there's no drag I bought a 12 round clip I use exactly the same type of closer and I'm carrying the same ammo the Sig 115 they make a ammunition just for the gun for low recoil I called Sig and talk to somebody there they said that you should only use brass ammunition in that pistol
I think I got it ghost using my keypad when I ain't looking I write my paragraph and then went to ever I read them after I send them in the words change
Thank you for being the first channel I have found that has commented on the very aggressive grip texture. Overall I’m happy with mine. Feels great in my hand but not as great rubbing against my skin while I’m carrying it all day. As long is I position it just right it’s better, but something to think about.
Just picked up the NRA model and love the 12 shot mag that it comes with, it's only 1/2 longer but makes a big difference on gripping gun and has 2 more rounds in it, I don't know how they did it. This came with 2 -10 and 1-12 rd mag and at 600 bucks was 50 more than the std.version.
Go ahead make our day Scooter & Peanut Pretty cool to that get that much fire power in a small package. I have yet to get a 12 round mag, but definitely need to
Just took my new P365 to the range today. Shot 150 rounds. I think I checked about twenty spent cases. No, I repeat no striker smear on a single primer. Also took my Kimber Micro 380. No striker smear on primers. And just for shits and giggles I fired my G2C. And....You guessed it, NO STRIKER SMEAR on the primer.
I’ve held it, surprised at just how small it is. Felt good though. Much smaller in the hand than my G43. I plan to shoot it prior to making final decision.
Pull the trigger (so to speak...)! I am about 800 rounds in and no issues, other then a couple of stovepipes while first learning to hold it. Fantastic shooter!!
@@t6v5c2 Czech's can too :) but yeah 967$ right now WITHOUT night sights.... it goes to us trough Germany and Germany has Tritium banned as "military material" so we need to buy some aftermarket sights on top of that :/
Thank you for contacting SIG Sauer. The P365 has internal safeties, designed to prevent the pistol from firing without pulling the trigger. The Striker Safety Lock locks the striker in the rear position until the trigger is pressed all the way to the rear. The Mechanical Disconnector disconnects the trigger bar from the sear when the slide is out of battery; so the trigger can be pressed but the striker will not be released. So, as long as the trigger is not pulled, the firearm will not fire.
What makes this gun head and shoulders above the competition is the 12 round mag. I didn't watch every second of your review so maybe you talked about it and I miss it, but in your closing comments you specifically mention the 10 round mag and still nothing about the 12 round mag. The higher capacity in the small, slender package makes this an unbeatable 9mm for conceal carry.
bobbyfanman17 I’m glad you added this comment. I live in California and cannot buy the 12 round magazines. Fortunate for me, my father in law is technically a Texas resident even though he’s here in California 8 months out of the year. He’s on his way home with three 12 rounders for me from Cabelas can’t wait to try those puppies out👍🏽
My april 2019 built p365 had a failure to battery malfunctuon on the 10th round I ever put through the gun. I pulled the trigger and only got a click. I looked down to inspect the weapon and noticed the slide wasn't going all the way forward so I reracked the weapon a couple of times to get the round in the pipe and everything was good from then on. I put about 200 rounds down range without an issue. I was using the 12 round mag and blazer 124 grain ammo. Should I be concerned and maybe contact Sig about this? Thanks
d17a2dude yeah I would contact their customer service if it was something that was happening routinely. They might tell you it’s part of the break in period or might have you send the gun back. I would definitely consult them just to be sure
Brian Spruill mine came with the case.. have heard a lot of different things about who gets what case. Honestly not sure how sig is shipping these out case wise
Boy, that's a true statement. I just bought a new P365. Right out of the box the trigger is very rough. It feels like grit on the mechanisms. Haven't even fired it yet. Waiting for the polish and micro polishing wheels to arrive so I can disassemble and polish all contact surfaces. I don't even want to fire the gun until I smooth the trigger pull.
@@douglasrodrigues9329 i hear once you fire ig, the trigger starts to break in and feel better. I haven't shot my new p365 yet so i can't say this is true or not.
nice review, i've been on the fence about this gun for quite some time but im starting to see a more positive trend with recent reviews - i'd love to handle one before i buy, i have pretty large hands/long fingers, and from what i gather the firearm really is pretty small, i have a FNS 9C and i really don't think i could go too much smaller than that - do you know if SIG offers an extended magazine that could also be purchased - one thing i love about my 9C is the 17 round extended mag - during the day i use my 12 round mag for everyday carry then swap it out for the 17 round mag at night for my HD gun - kind of makes the best of both worlds for me :)
Falcon Lair Thanks! Definitely go get your hands on one if you get the chance.. sig makes an extended 12 round magazine that would probably be what you’re after
I'm glad it's working for you. The extreme striker drag would worry me. I'm not sure "all" is fixed on it. People can watch the "Hank Strange" recent video of his with a born on date of Jan. or Feb. TWENTY-NINETEEN clearly showing failures. Also a couple more with this year born on dates showing the same but I don't remember whose video they were. I do think your right in saying this is probably as good as it's going to get for this Sig. That's probably because people love it and continue to buy it.
This is a great Soft Sell Presentation and It is geared to get all those well informed Gun Guys to possibly purchase this gun in spite of all the problems in the beginning. I did notice that he said NOTHING about that 10 round mag which you have to buy a mag loading tool to get all 10 rounds into the mag. So if you want it to be your carry gun it still has the Primer Drag and you have to also carry, in your pocket, a mag tool to get your 10 rounds in the mag. Having said this, I am one of those well informed gun guys and I also have, as my EDC gun, a Glock 43 which IMO is the best single stack small 9mm and I will stick with my 43, in spite of the 6 round mag. I am not a Sig Hater but this company is not the elite gun Company that it was!
Steve Katz I appreciate your feedback! I have been able to get all 10 rounds in my mag with out a mag loader. The springs in the mags were pretty stiff when they were brand new but they have loosed up a lot once they broke in. The 43 is a solid edc for sure
I don't know where you live but if you have a 10 rd mag in the pistol plus a 2nd 10 round mag on your person and still need to reload you either have to get more training or move out of that neighborhood.
Steve Katz I got the sig p365 and I don’t have problems with my 10 round mag but with the 12 round mag I do so I use my mag loaded to get to the 12th round in there sometime
Mason Black i love the p365, I bought it over the walther and all the other sub compacts on the market. My 2nd place was the Walter though, if the p365 doesn’t make the cut for you I would recommend the Walther or the shield. They felt the best for me other than the Sig.
I think most sub compact guns have primer drag. I have shot the xds and it has primer drag. From the videos that I have seen, lots of other guns have the same issue.
scott stephens You’re absolutely right. I noted it in the vid because the striker drag on the P365 can be excessive imo compared to other sub compacts and before Sig addressed the problem it was breaking strikers
@@outdoorsguy4 I agree. Striker drag induces a lot of stress on the tip of the striker. Stress fatigue induces cracking over time. It's inevitable. How much time does it take to reach the failure point of the part? That depends of the quantitative analysis of the stress, cyclical rate, amplitude, etc, as well as the design, shape, size, and metallurgical properties of the part, etc. And I know that they have redesigned the striker tip to better withstand this stress. Unfortunately, it's still an MIM part, and while I know that MIM is a good process for manufacturing many intricate parts, its original advantage was, and still is, as a cost saving measure. It's just less expensive to make certain parts with MIM than machining. And this increases with the intricacy of the part in question. The thing is, with a striker being relatively easy to design in a simple shape, the savings aren't huge compared to more complex parts requiring more complex machining operations. The grain structure of MIM will never equal that of high quality forged steel alloys. Can it be "good enough"? Depends on the task at hand, and a lot of variables in the manufacturing process. I guess Sig thought the original part was "good enough". They bet on it when they rushed the pistol to market with insufficient testing outside of their finite element analysis software . And lost.... Personally, I'd much prefer Sig to charge the extra $10 it would cost them to make a properly designed, machined, striker made of high quality tool steel that exceeds the stresses it will ever see by a large margin. And maybe do a bit more real world testing on their products before releasing them... I really do want this pistol to be good! I'd even go so far as to say that I hope it becomes good enough to retire my G43. Not sure that'll ever really happen, but a guy can dream...
Michael C A lot of good information there! I have to agree, I wish sig would have just stuck a quality part in there from the start to avoid all the commotion and give the gun a shaky reputation. Like you said, I am rooting for the P365 as well!
Roger McGee a iwb kydex holster by concealment express, have a vid of it on my channel. Have been carrying it in it since I got the gun and have liked it a lot
Mine didn't either. Small Sig case with egg foam on each side. I actually don't like fitted cases so I'm fine with that. It sits in my holster all the time anyway
@@texasghost6725 no sir. Knock on wood. Shoot every week just about as i did today. Imo its a great all around gun. I just read they are coming out with a 15 round mag! For a carry 9m can not beat that. Probably buy another one next year thinking they will have couple variants like a legion maybe?
Somethingfishyinc.net if they come out with a legion or an x series edition, I would be all over it. I’m starting to hear nothing but good these days, might be time to move on from glock
Stillborn Soul it seems that people have been getting a variety of different hard cases with the P365.. not entirely sure the criteria that decides who gets what case
I Picked up my P365, Last Year.
Hides Nicely, For Carry.
Shoots Great, while plinking & practicing.
Great Balance, with a 12 round mag.
With my large hands.
I would recommend this, two any of my friends. ( Never Failed Me, while firing it! ) 👍👍👍
I agree, there some of the best sights I have seen or used. I am 60 and their easy for my eyes to pick up easily.l
larry lucas they are great!
i was actually shocked at how little recoil there was in such a small pistol. as far as primer drag, all sub compacts do it as well as many compacts. don't worry about it
I have been shooting almost 50 years now..I love my Glocks and Smiths, the 365 is the best gun I have ever shot..I own 2 of them..not a hiccup with either in 1000+ rounds through each..
lawdog490 Awesome! That’s great to hear👍
PF9 is a million times better
I have a Feb 2019 build myself, and I have to agree with you I believe Sig has all the bugs worked out. 500 rounds through mine so far without a hiccup. The more I shoot it the more I love it. I carry mine with the 12 round mag in a Vedder Light tuck.
Good quality video great job!
James Massie Awesome.. thanks brother!
T.J. Schmid I agree w you brother. I can’t put mine down either.. glad it is treating you well. Appreciate your feedback!
I picked one of these up a couple of months ago! I second your comment about the horrible-feeling "thud" when pulling the trigger, haha. You get used to it after a while, but that's a really minor knock when you consider the whole value proposition in this tiny pistol.
Tj C couldn’t have said it better!
Mine doesn't have a thud when I pull the trigger; just a bang ;-)
I'm ready to take the leap now myself I have 3 Sigs, P226 was my service, P239 my off duty, and 2 years ago I picked up the P238. For me, I've trusted my life to Sig Sauer for 20 years as a street cop, undercover, and HWY and not one problem that was not operators fault. So I'm a believer not paid by them I've used my own money to buy all the guns I own by them and I will be picking up this one as well. Thanks for the great up dated review great job!
Robert Manning I have always enjoyed sigs products as well. Thank you, much appreciated!
The SIG P365 is the best subcompact on the market.
steve MITCHELL I agree man!
My pt111 shits all over it
Agent 47 no
Just got mine Friday, haven’t shot it yet but looking forward to it.
Got mine about a month or two ago...it's my new favorite. Great ergonomics, shootability, sights, capacity, ease of concealment, etc. Simply the best all-in- one package. The XL might be my next purchase
Side Kickz Got to play with the p365 XL a couple days ago.. they are sweet! On my list to get as well
@@outdoorsguy4 I regret to say I actually traded my p365 for a g43 w/ (night sights included) and $50 just 2 days ago...I'm kinda kicking myself honestly. I think I got a good enough deal that I can trade up though. What do you think?
Side Kickz I’d think you’d be able to recoup a good amount of money if you decided you want something else. Good luck!
Surprisingly accurate and shootable for subcompact love mine
Hi, I just received mine with a built date of January 26- 2019 Took it to the range and had multiple failure to feed with federal HST 124 grain hollow points, the Only way to resolve the issue is pushing up on the bottom of the magazine and then the next round will feed. the magazines are also really hard to load without a loader, so the issues are not totally fixed need to send it back to SIG
Update, I received it back from SIG they done some polishing of the feed ramp and also the trigger bar and some other magic. Took it to the range shot the same federal HST 124 grain hollow points about 30 rounds of it no failures of any kind also about 150 rounds of 124 grain mag tech FMJ.
Walter Glad they got it squared away!
I've heard about more failures if using 115 or 124 gr. I've been using 147 and not had any issues at all
Chad Lacy Interesting. I have shot mostly 124g with a box or two of 115g and haven’t had any hiccups
Genia Coffey that’s awesome to hear! Definitely worth every cent👍
I bought the *Glock 43X.* I was going to get the G43 but the G43X was just released so for my XXL hands I changed to the longer grip.
I shot it for 114 rounds and then very lightly cleaned it & lightly oiled it. After this I shot the G43X - 300 to 400 more times *without any cleaning.*
*Report/Review of the Glock 43X*
This is a very light, very reliable, accurate, and top concealed carry pistol.
The one or two pluses that makes the Glock better for me over the SIG P365 and the S&W Shield (these are the top three (3) CCW guns in the USA).
*1. Maintaining* - It is a Glock. This means it is easy to *completely* take apart piece by piece for detailed cleaning.
Much more & easier than any gun on the market. l love this as I can do this myself and save time/money to totally clean it
or if needed I personally can gunsmith my pistol.
*The SIG P365*
Would have really bought the SIG P365 if it was reliable in the beginning. I was looking at it hard early on and then the "issues"
started popping up with the SIGs - the P320 & the P365.
Stay safe.
sweetcostarica Appreciate it! You do the same
I finally bought one a couple of weeks ago, with a production date of 01/31/2019. Mine came in the new small case. I’m pleased!
Frank Butta Not sure why mine has the larger case to tell you the truth. Glad you are liking it, rooting for sig on this one!
outdoorsguy4
I forgot to give you a thumbs up. 👍
Frank Butta Much appreciated!
Just bought one today I got a small grey case also. Was brand new still sealed, got it from cabelas
I own 2. Shoot both 1-2 times a week. 1200+ rounds through one, 400+ in the other. No issues with either.
Jason Sig Sauer USA awesome man! Glad they are working well for you
I've been researching the sig p365 and I'm a newbie when it comes to guns. It would be my first handgun and I was wondering what brand of training ammo do you use? I've heard from multiple people that the sig can be kind of picky in terms of the different types of ammo people use for it
simplyprecious441 federal American eagle is what I shoot most of the time
Have mine 14 months, fired 3000 rds with no misfires or jams. Bought 12 rd mags from sig & still small enough to conceal.
Just got one today very nice firearm .
Good deal👍 mine were stiff from the factory but I left them loaded for a while and it made loading much easier from then on
I'm a Massachusetts guy and have been thinking about getting the 365 . I'm a Shield guy . We'll see 💥💥💥 .
@@outdoorsguy4 I followed your advice and keep the mags loaded , as well as the 2 spare mags I ordered from a gun shop.
@@davegass1650 I like mine. However, you can use a Magguts replacement spring with follower on your current 8 round Shield mags and get 10 rounds in them. You would have the same 10 + 1 capacity as the P365 for short money. I would give that a try before dropping $500 on a new gun.

they're doing one right now here in Orlando, FL - i think it's a promotion that they must do every so often
Hope your p365 continues to run well!
failure to execute shooting fundamentals well will produce inaccurate results.
which could be said about every small pistol, especially micros.
ThrowingLead very true!
Thanks for sharing.

yep
JPS 3B That’s awesome.. everybody I let shoot the gun loves the ergos of it as well. I appreciate it! Same goes to you
Just got my Ltc and went with mp sheild 2.0 45 acp as my first which the spring broke after 150 rounds, rented this one just for fun and fell in love with it.
Durhamite77 an engineering marvel is absolutely right!
I will pick mines next week. It has an April 2019 date on it. It's as small as my Kahr PM 9, but has a better trigger pull as well as it can hold 4 more rounds.
Resdep 2001 Hope it treats ya well!
@@outdoorsguy4 thank you
I carry a Sig Sauer Full frame 45 cal P220 Nitron, single stack, OWB side carry.
@@greamatter Sig is NOT polymer - all metalic frame - and slide - EXACTLY why I bought that P 365!
;-0
Pretty cool! Been meaning to try that sas model and get my hands on one at a store, will def have to check it out
I've handled them a few times in the past.
Michael C Definitely a lot to offer in this little gun.. rooting for sig on it and that they’ve got them straightened out. Thanks for the feedback!
I just got one and picked up all the shells to check for swiping and it wasn't showing anything just the shape of the striker
Just bought it, has a build date, 3/19.
Martin Mosman thanks, great info! Glad they are treating you well

I wanna get the 15 round mag for the 365 but that shots expensive 😞
Is it safe to carry with a round in the chamber? Is there is a striker block in place until you pull the trigger?
glinden111 Yes it is safe. The gun can not fire a round in the chamber unless the trigger is pulled
@Vin Vin Whats a good, affordable ammo for training?
I have a P365 on layaway right now. Looks like it is the most ideal time to get it.
Edward Brown absolutely!
Make sure you buy a mag uplula for loading your magazine’s
Looks like they finally made a reliable version, thanks for a great review
Javier Fernandez much appreciated!
Where are these people getting these fancy gun cases with their new guns? Mine came in a plastic bag, free floating in a tiny case.
Brian Spruill mine came with the case.. have heard a lot of different things about who gets what case. Honestly not sure how sig is shipping these out case wise
The trigger feels a bit janky but still love the gun it's a nice carry.
Rubber talon grip feels awesome on p365. Just installed yesterday
just applied for my carry permit in New York (ulster county) but this is the one I want p365
BIG Mike Doran nice!
Love mine. Bought the Sig 15 round mag too.
Got the one at academy for $540 out the door with free 12 round mag
Born on date of March 19, 2019
Hail to The_Rooster Good deal👍 hope it treats you well!
got mine at academy on 8/23/19 it was $499 plus tax. two mags one extended.Same born date.
Just curious, does anyone carry more than 2?
nice review, i've been on the fence about this gun for quite some time but im starting to see a more positive trend with recent reviews - i'd love to handle one before i buy, i have pretty large hands/long fingers, and from what i gather the firearm really is pretty small, i have a FNS 9C and i really don't think i could go too much smaller than that - do you know if SIG offers an extended magazine that could also be purchased - one thing i love about my 9C is the 17 round extended mag - during the day i use my 12 round mag for everyday carry then swap it out for the 17 round mag at night for my HD gun - kind of makes the best of both worlds for me :)
That's probably because people love it and continue to buy it.
grady jr it doesn’t make me feel real great either. I hope sig has them figured out!
@@outdoorsguy4 Me too.
Good review. Thanks.
Mike M. Thanks brother!
Been carrying mine for about 2 months. I have nothing bad to say about it. It's been flawless.
War Mongerel Good to hear man!
I'm in between the p365 or the walther ppq sc, any recommendations?
I got them both. Lol..... the p365 still has a issue with primer drag.
Mason Black i love the p365, I bought it over the walther and all the other sub compacts on the market. My 2nd place was the Walter though, if the p365 doesn’t make the cut for you I would recommend the Walther or the shield. They felt the best for me other than the Sig.
Maybe eventually I'll get both lol but going to the range to try them out today, appreciate the recommendations
365 all the way. I have the ppq 9mm 4 inch. I didnt like there sc.
@@chevykent77 just picked up the 365 today, awesome gun just have to break in the 12 round mag it's hard to load to capacity
Very nice video...thanks!
Trek For Truth much appreciated!
Sig advertises the 365 to have a stainless slide, a magnet should not stick to stainless? Is this false advertisement
What holster do you carry it in?
Roger McGee a iwb kydex holster by concealment express, have a vid of it on my channel. Have been carrying it in it since I got the gun and have liked it a lot
Finally, time to get a Taurus G2C....
Norm Deviant nothing wrong with the G2C, nice pistol imo. Very affordable too!
outdoorsguy4 Is there a manual safety?
Spike not on the model I have, but sig offers the gun with a manual safety
How does one know what the date of manufacture is? Is it stamped on the gun?
Voice of Reason there is a date on the sticker on the side of the hard case
Mine didn’t come in a case like that ☹️
Bought one last week (BOD 6/20/2019) from Cabelas, and mine didn’t either! Just a small box with no cutouts..
Sonu M I got mine from academy
Mine came in a small sig box with no cutout he got a nice case for his....
Mine didn't either. Small Sig case with egg foam on each side. I actually don't like fitted cases so I'm fine with that. It sits in my holster all the time anyway
Mine doesn’t have a case like his either and I just bought it 2/20/2020
Over 1500 rounds and all good.
Somethingfishyinc.net not one single issue?
@@texasghost6725 no sir. Knock on wood. Shoot every week just about as i did today. Imo its a great all around gun. I just read they are coming out with a 15 round mag! For a carry 9m can not beat that. Probably buy another one next year thinking they will have couple variants like a legion maybe?
Somethingfishyinc.net if they come out with a legion or an x series edition, I would be all over it. I’m starting to hear nothing but good these days, might be time to move on from glock
@@texasghost6725 do it
Somethingfishyinc.net love to hear it! Glad it’s treating you well
Get your self a few 12 round mags and you'll like it even more. That's what I did when I bought mine.
Johnny Small definitely on my to do list!

Beautiful gun
xGUDDAx I’ve been very pleased w it
I got one a couple weeks ago... different lockbox interior... odd. Born date Feb 6.
Stillborn Soul it seems that people have been getting a variety of different hard cases with the P365.. not entirely sure the criteria that decides who gets what case
You might have gotten refurb
@@texasghost6725 from a brick-and-mortar chain store? Paying $499 on sale with a born on date February 6th 2019?
Stillborn Soul you would think the least they could do is keep the packaging consistent
I’m waiting for the manual safety version.
johnscreekmark 👍👍
Same here. I emailed sig sauer about a month ago asking when they should be available, and the customer support that replied said they dont know yet
Awesome! Didn't realize they were going to make one with a manual safety. That's the main reason I haven't bought one.
Just got an email from sig saying the manual safety version is now shipping
@@outdoorsguy4 yeah, I just saw a post on Facebook from sig about it
This or the xcompact?
Texas Ghost I don’t have any experience with the xcompact to recommend one over the other, sorry brother
Awesome ccw!!
600 rounds through mine with just the factory lube and not one issue. Guess it’s time for a cleaning
Alex Viars Awesome. Ha yeah could be time!
They're still having problems with the firing pin after 2,500 rounds.
In Gratitude I Am Mind me asking where your source of info is on that?
Good that I went with g19
outdoorsguy4 he’s still looking, lol
