    I had 2019 2SS Camaro that was the same way man. It doesn’t matter some cars are good some are bad. ALWAYS have a warranty. I now have 2016 Mercedes which I meticulously searched for and went through with a fine toothed comb. Hands down better quality and great experience. And I have a warranty and I bought it outright.

    Thanks for sharing man. Been on the fence about a used s560. Definitely disappointing to see such an issue with a car at this price point. Strange that they can't find where the entry point of all that water is.

      That's what I'd like to replace it with, it's not they couldn't find it. It's that to continue the insurance company wrote it off as a loss. Did not want to pay for the interior tear down

    What a shame for such a lovely car. Sorry for you James and your dream car,
    I think it does depend on the car. I've had two Mercs in a row that have been very reliable. A C class that did 175k miles and never went wrong apart from needing new engine and gearbox mounts and my current E class that has done 80k reliable miles. Maybe I've been lucky.

      You have been lucky but honestly I find that once you cross into s class land or top tier products. Its where they are the most experimental. Pair this with the s coupe being a limited run and you get unforeseen issues.

    Don't buy a new car - even Mercedes has gone to sheit. Buy older, save money and get a better quality product.

      I agree I don't even want a new one, I have a 2003 SL and that has 165 k miles. They were just built better back then

      I'm sure someone will, but in my case I'm not a hands on guy. I understand how the systems work but don't turn a wrench myself. Even once it dried out it was still not functioning so I let it go

    Your VIN ended in 007760. That means you were within the first 8000 vehicles or in other words within the first few months of production of this model. That is the main reason why you had so many issues. Btw the maintenance schedule says that all drains should be checked at every 10k mls service. If this was caused by a clogged drain, then the dealer servicing it didn’t do what they charged for. Happens pretty frequently though. Next time you buy a Mercedes, stay away from the first, or better yet, the first two years of production. That’ll usually save you from taking it into the shop all too often.

      @JamesSalvatore  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I always service at the dealership and they never checked the drains. Your right I found out my production number also put me within the engines that suffered the most from cylinder scoring too. Thanks for the advice!

    I have one and I believe there are no drains on this roof. It does not even open. I think you had a front windshield leak. Sorry to hear man, I love mine.

      Its tough I still cant find another good one with low miles under 70 k, I later found out that the pre facelift cars had a design flaw with the front cowl drain. You need to clean it once a year its prone to build up.

    Im sorry that happened. Tbh modern cars have so many modules and wiring there is to much to go wrong with extorsionate labour rates it just isnt feasible to run one out of warranty. The S Class is not an exception to such problems even simple golfs suffer from the same stuff...JLR products are even worse they leak through the windscreen😭its just a lot. I dont think the S-Class is a bad car though, it just has a lot of shit to make it the best car in the world. If you have 10 things instead of 1 thing for example that means 10 things can break so it seems like things are always breaking but its actually just the demands of owning and enjoying such beautiful machinery. I do recognise that modern design and build quality has become far less superior than the days of the legends. Plastic everything in the engine bay, poorly designed drains, weak seals are all unacceptable😐. Would I still buy one yes...am I crazy again yes but so is every other car enthusiats who pours money into their ever depreciating machine😂 like they say we all know if you want faithful reliability lexus/toyota will always be the way to go.

    Sounds like you got a bit of a lemon. The S coupe is pretty much the same as the S sedan under the skin especially electrics. They are not maintenance free for sure but the problems you have had sound excessive.
