    I am a staff accountant with no degree. I started working in AP and did that for 3 years, switched companies and worked in there AP department for 3 months and because I was so good at AP when a staff accountant position became open they asked me if I wanted the position. So just go into a position and just do very well and have an assign attitude!! Let them know what your goals are. There are companies out there that are willing to teach you how to be an accountant without a degree

    I did try to find the entry level accounting jobs like AR/AP or accounting clerks but no success. The websites i applied to also have at least 20-50 applicants and the companies always look for experienced applicants, at least 1-3 years… even for entry level jobs, which is insane 🤦🏽‍♀️

      I think this associate program is equivalent to a diploma in my country that is under undergraduate level like a bachelor's degree but below it 🕵️

    • @modifiedjaymill
      @modifiedjaymill ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Honestly just go straight for the Bachelors. I graduate with my BAS this spring, but I had my AS and literally could barely get any job and that’s with me having over 5 years experience. I got my AS after the experience and yea majority of the jobs want a bachelors minimum but really prefer a masters. I’m starting my MBA next semester but I will definitely be trying to work while doing so.

    Thank you so much for this video! I graduated with accounting degree in May with no accounting related experience and not even any internships. I have a lot of customer service experience through my years of retail and have applied to hundreds of accounting related jobs and still have yet to score an interview.

    • @VR0W
      @VR0W 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      How was your experience pursuing the accounting degree? I’ve been thinking about going back to school and majoring in that as well. I already know where I want to apply once I’m finished or close too but curious to know the accounting benefits.

    • @acielzoubi811
      @acielzoubi811 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @@VR0W The best thing about an accounting degree is they’re always so many jobs available. I guess this is the main accounting benefit. From experience, I wouldn’t wait till after you finish to apply to jobs. I would start even a year before you finish. Believe me, there are more opportunities available for students that are still in school then when they finish. I regret waiting after I graduated because it was hard finding a job, and most entry level accounting jobs prefer students with internship experience. It took me 8 months till I eventually landed a tax technician job position.

      If you have a work permit I would suggest starting off as a staff accountant role or AP/AR clerk

      @@corporatelynicole Hi Hun, thank you for your reply.
      I'm from the United Kingdom 🤭🤭🤭 so on the old syllables we had to do a synoptic exam which tests knowledge of 4 modules in one exam. I've done it again, now waiting for results in March 2023.
      Thank you for your advice , I will look into it as I want to start my career in accounting in the coming months . God bless you. 🙏🙏🙏 xxx

      Hey Esther! That’s my name too!! I’ll suggest going to Canada as it’ll be easier to get in and you’ll be able to start working right away.

    Thanks for this information it was helpful, I followed all those accounts on Instagram like you said and I do have some experience with cash handling but with the videos you’ve made I’m going to deep dive. By the way I genuinely appreciate the resume advice it definitely made me reevaluate how I read my own resume now & to answer your question I want to eventually become a CPA then own my own company wish me the best of luck, I hope to create generational wealth.
