I did this a while ago now, but I was taught it wasn't a palm bock but knife side of hand striking forwards. Also our horse stance was wider and deeper. And the Keumgang Makki was taught as the crane stance blocks not the horse stance...

Santeul maki IS différent from keumgang maki 😉
