Any primer needed to make sure the karnak stick to the aluminum drip edge? Any tips on making sure it's clean and dry before applying? I don't have a torch. Would it be reasonable to apply another coat of karnak after gluing the membrane to the drip edge? Perhaps with a mesh as well to prevent it from coming apart again?
Why not do proper felt drips with drip cards which are 75mm in width, install roof batten on front edge pin mineral drips onto batten, pin up drip cards then gun up the drips over the drip cards then onto the flat roof. As long as the mineral drips are at least 38 CMS, I have done this for years, still got flat roofs I done 20 years ago, still watertight.
What a hack iv been roofing 23yr roofing cement is the last thing I wanna see used on a roof unless its wet an cant fix it properly alright for a temporary solution
Even with you doing that, thats not even correct. You supposed to always put the c4 drip edge metal over the membrane and flash properly. The way he’s doing it will still leak.
Thats the glues and adhesives ,they faulter ,shrink .crack or pull away ,they are not up with the times new products and repair needs improvement.its very expensive all these applications and the leak at chimneys pull away or shrink ,junk ,the manufacturers should be held responsible most times.,sorry ive seen it happen over again.
I love you you left that thing flaming... badass!
This guy is the reason my job exists lol
