There is just something about the m2 that makes it enjoyable to drive. The feeling of driving manually especially on a modern vehicle is untouchable unless of course you're racing it. But I do miss the days where more cars came in stick shift
there is plenty 550i with that engine from f10 and they share same problems as high oil consumption, gummed piston ring grooves and degradation of the piston rings, hydrolock and injector failure, Misfire, corrosion of the alusil sleeves, turbo problems etc. Many of these n63 engines require overhaul over 100k. Problem is, sometimes they even need new block....

Duo Motovlog Nah, not to the extent that you think. Fuel economy will definitely take a hit, as it takes probably 5 or so extra HP at 70 mph to drive with the window(s) down. About as much as A/C. But we're not racing 1976 Ladas where 5 HP is a substantial fraction of 70 or so HP. If they were doing a race that involved most of the actual race above 90 mph for a significant duration of time, okay, thrn there will be some effect, but still not as big as you'd expect. So, in short, having the window rolled down in this race had a miniscule effect compared to thr other variables at play, including TC, unaligned cars at the start, human reaction time, etc.

They should do something in the likes of worlds greatest drag race, using the fastest version of every M-series car. From M2 CS to M4 GTS and all the other Competition M-cars. Plus the M760Li.
Funny thing is that the M2 is proven to be faster around a race track due to its better handling. And the manual M2 has been seen to do a quicker 0-100 than that.

I love this channel, the only issue I see with most of these drag races are, your racing under powered cars with manual against other cars with more power with DCT or Automatic transmission. The outcome will mostly be the same, unless the manual car or cars has just about the same BHP or more. If you going to drag race please use Automatic transmission against Automatic or even DCT against Automatic. At least the drag races will be closer. Thank you hope consider my comments.

Weight was a factor as well as reaction time. Over the stretch of say 1/2 a mile, the bigger cars would have picked up. The m4 is slightly quicker.

what you smoking? m3 is never discontinued the m3 and m4 are the same car in terms of performance engine and parts the only thing that changed is the m3 is a 4 door only car aka a sedan weighing a little bit more then a m4 for the extra back room for passengers and the m4 is the coupe aka 2 door car.... the same can be said for the m5/m6 the m5 is the sedan the m6 is the coupe ...so m3/m5 = sedan m4/m6 = coupe all car sets share basically the same parts in their category the only difference is the size/weight you want a family sports car for 4 people to sit comfortably or do you want to save some weight get the coupe as a young single guy without kids.

RASHAD321979 standstills prove nothing. A true races is a rolling start, and the m4 got dusted by the M5 and M6.
I love this channel, the only issue I see with most of these drag races are, your racing under powered cars with manual against other cars with more power with DCT or Automatic transmission. The outcome will mostly be the same, unless the manual car or cars has just about the same BHP or more. If you going to drag race please use Automatic transmission against Automatic or even DCT against Automatic. At least the drag races will be closer. Thank you hope consider my comments.
