How’s this for an all-new epic drag race!
We’ve got Mat in the all-new BMW M4, and he’s lining up alongside the Mercedes-AMG C63 S & Audi RS5!
So how do they match up? First up we've got the M4, and under the bonnet you’ll find a 3-litre straight-six which can deliver 510hp & 660Nm of torque.
As for the AMG, well it’s not too different. It may have a 4-litre twin-turbo V8 instead, but it can also deliver 510hp, coupled with 700Nm. Finally we have the RS5, which has a 2.9-litre V6 which can put down 450hp and 600Nm of torque.
Think the Audi is the underdog? Well it has one key benefit - Quattro AWD! As for both the BMW and AMG? Well, they've only got RWD! Will that make the difference? You’ll have to keep watching to find out!

If you look at how close the rolling was between Merc and Audi you can see the true difference 510hp and 450hp (with AWD). So basically BMW fanboys are getting excited about a car that lies about it's power just so it can get an unfair advantage cause it's previous model was always losing. Basically a man on steroids competing with natural athletes and acting like a natural athlete. BMW should learn from Porsche how to make cars faster with less power. It's ridiculous 😂😂😂😂

Lol, who even takes these drag races seriously?! The difference in times is usually milliseconds, which just comes down to human reaction times. All drivers will react at different rates, down to the millisecond. To get more reliable times, you would have to repeat the drag race 1000 times or something, and then get the average from these runs, while accounting for vehicle performance deterioration somehow. Or you could completely remove the human element somehow and have computers on timers launching the cars, although I don't believe that technology exists.
It's game over once that M4 has a good AWD system in it
That s why BMW wins rolling races, RWD means less pieces to move > Less torque lost for just moving the pieces. That would be interesting to see if an Audi RWD can beat RWD BMW, i m so curious. Althought, you buy Audi for cornering, cold weather and drag racing, BMW for Highway races, donuts and sliding fun. Every car excelles at something, Audi is excelling at traction and drag racing. @@brainsoff_9210 I agree to certain extent, but BMW are race cars, they perform well on the track or the tight streets of the city where there power to weight ratio helps cornering as well as low centre of gravity through the design all wheel drive tend to understeer with untrained drivers with harsh corners so thats why bmw’s is more track Audi is Drag racing / sprints with little to no turns in the road and Mercs is the all bark no bite luxury car great for getting you some pussy but stay off the track 🤣
@@brainsoff_9210 the AWD system on BMW is gonna come with dynamic torque control so launches are gonna be way faster than Audi and on high speeds all power goes to real axles so BMW is gonna kick ass all around🤷🏽♂️

@@brainsoff_9210 You can disable the AWD on the new M cars. Completely RWD only unless slip is detected. As we seen with the M5 Competition, there's no disadvantages with the xDrive.

Also the AMG at least with my E350 if you are stopped, switch to your final drive gear and it will do shifts as if it were the speed transmission. So 5 for 5 spd or 4 for 4spd and it shifts way better so you don't have to shift manually

This is why I get awd when possible, one thing I love about my F32 435i, I can just use xDelete to make it rwd, have some smokey fun with coworkers leaving at the end of the night, I leave it in awd most of the time, rwd loses traction even at 70 and it rains most of the year here.

M4 is incredible once it gets going, but it needed that jump start to beat the RS 5. Over a shorter distance I found the Audi to be untouchable 🏁

The whole point of braking is to prevent hitting something in front of you, so why would you judge a brake test from the back of the car. The back of your car isn't going to hit the car in front of you, the front will. Make sense?

Dynamically the M4 is the best in class but I bought a 2023 RS5 coupe a couple of months ago! To live with it's Audi all day long for me because I don't go on a race track....ever!
Yes, completely agree on that. I have a 2022 RS5 sportback in nardo grey. It has the perfect balance between performance and comfort and it is beautiful (especially with the all blacked out option)
