  • Tracks or Tires??? Which one is better for YOU???
    This is a major decision when deciding on which is best for your company or hobby. Take your time and do your proper research and you will be in good shape! Operate safely now!!!
    We are a local lawn and landscaping company based out of Freeburg IL. Family owned/operated and started from the ground up. My brother (Nic) and I (Alex) are doing our best to build a company we will be happy to work in. It has been an adventure and a struggle at times but I wouldn’t trade it for the world! We began our journey on youtube to document our company history and we would be happy to have you along for the ride! We have big dreams and have hardly scratched the surface of where we want to be.

    Easy choice.
    I've had both.
    But a tracked one, and never look back.

    If you are digging and prepping for brick pavers the wheeled machines can get you into big trouble !! What happens is when you are digging and the wheels spin a little it will pump the water and moisture out of the ground and it makes the ground "punky" "muddy" and then your screwed !! The track machines walk right through it and like you said the footprint is a lot lighter. The only way I would used wheeled is on hard surface or if I was selling bulk material and was loading trucks all day

    Tracks all the way brother

  • @roaringlion1
    @roaringlion1 5 ปีที่แล้ว +5

    Tracks will tear surface much easier they are best for rough terrain. Tires for everything else.

    Great points! Also wheeled loaders compact the soil way more which can damage lawns and destroy tree root systems with the soil compaction and it kills the tree over time which most people don't know.

      That same compaction capability is a plus for backfilling and grading though.

    I have a 1999 763 love it but it’s tired iron. Next couple years gonna start looking at the T595 or S595

      I have an svl95-2 I was just using a t590 the other day and man was I fricken pissed the t590 or t595 it was newer small as shit comfy fast and quiet, the track suspension is great. It was so nimble. I wished I had that instead of out new svl95-2.

    Tires- construction, doesn’t tear up grass easily, etc
    Tracks- farming, sand dirt, etc

      @@PavingProphet if you don’t make the sharpest on earth it won’t rip apart the grass but it will make tracks

      I think tires for hard surfaces and tracks for anything else 👍🏼

  • @Ezrider359

    tires are a lot better for snow removal if you do any of that as well.

  • @adanr150
    @adanr150 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    What if do both types of jobs. ? Also air tires are cheaper than tracks yes but if get solid ones or new tire design they cost same as tracks.

      Some industries like what you are describing it can be a very hard decision. For us fortunately it is an easy one. We are primarily on dirt

    I’ve got an ‘82 bobcat 642 and it’s got the Kubota gas engine in it, and she’s getting a lil old. I really only use it 5-6 times a year, only to clean out the barn or move dirt.

  • @jasonswift7098
    @jasonswift7098 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    What about for just a 1 1/5 property for moving dirt around, not loading into trucks or up high.

    Question fellas,
    If I brought one with wheels, could I replace the wheels for tracks ?

    • @nickenslandscapingexcavating
      @nickenslandscapingexcavating  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You can with aftermarket kits but I would stay away from that. It’s also expensive. Just buy a track machine

      JS Landscaping wheeled because you will waste so much money by burning tracks up so quick

    I need one so i can replace my Lawntractor. So for me its a mini skid steer. My question is if both wheeled and tracked skid loaders damage my lawn when turning or does a wheeled on with gras tires be as gentle as a lawntractor. Thanks

    • @nickenslandscapingexcavating

      Yeah tires don’t work on soft surface. No matter what the surface, if it’s soft you must have tracks
