While I was hanging my hummingbird feeder back up after changing out the sugar water, I looked up and a hummingbird was just _there_ , about a foot away. I tried to stay really still to not scare it and it moved slightly a few times, but soon decided to fly away. However, while it was staying mostly in the same spot, I heard it chirping, which was really cute and cool since I never knew they chirped before then!
Fun fact I learned from doing research is they start to recognize the face of the person that feeds them and once their sugar water is old or out gets low, they tend to fly over your head and close to you to make you aware

This morning while I was refilling my feeders, a humming bird came around the corner expecting his feeder. Instead he found the back of my head at the same place the feeder is normally located. Thus,m he quickly made a 180 degree turn and got within about 18 inches of my head. The sound of his wings making that sharp turn sounded very similar to a Star Wars lightsaber, which is a combination of a humming and buzzing sound.

Small hummers can make a buzzing sound similar to a wasp that is inches from your ear. Bigger birds can sound like certain vibrating instruments or motors (such as a cellphone in "vibrate mode").

we have humming birds that like to feed off the flowers at out house and their so cute to watch when their buzzing around while running after each other in squeaks of rage.
I love when they fly by me by my pool and I can hear that loud whizzing/swoosh sound! So cool! They're like mini-jetfighters! The hummingbirds in my area are always playing, fighting and chasing each other at the feeder. I notice, maybe it's mating season in spring?, they will sometimes whiz by me and sort of do this up and down/side-to-side swooping a few times and then fly way up into the sky like 100 feet up and then come barreling down in a divebomb pattern and make a whistling noise while doing so. Anybody else ever see this? It's pretty cool.

3 hours ago I found an injured hummingbird on my cars trunk. Poor lil guy was stuck. I assume it’s still a baby and has trouble flying, not sure if it’s because it was injured or it’s still a baby. I also have no idea how it got stuck, but it was near my cars engine so it got roughed up and hot. It was weak but now it got some strength and wants to fly
