Next time you listen to the song, keep in mind that stereotronique never produced another song for Monstercat after this one. The lyrics will have a whole new meaning.
Toffeebomb He made one song after this one it seems. Either way, I am quite sure this was a goodbye to the edm community, as you just mentioned. Maybe he had an almost finished project lying around that he wanted to get out before he disappeared. Many interpretations are yet to be said, but this is my thoughts. And my opinion of the song is that I think it's awesome. I usually hate stereotronique's stuff cuz he uses this annoying sound very frequently that I really dislike. While that sound is shown in this song aswell, the beautiful melody it has kind of washes it away. Love the song, and the vocals. I think this was a perfect goodbye to the Monstercat community, such a lovely song :)
So this is Stereotronique's swan song? That makes the lyrics so much more deep and meaningful knowing this was the last song they were going to write, it's like a farewell to the fans and a message telling them to not fret about it.
Try not to fall, try not to lose Any hope that the dawn might bring Losing faith in me and everything I do But I know we'll be okay [Verse 2: Stereotronique] We're on our way And we're not coming down There'll be no holding on And we say that we're all letting go Feel me now for all time [Drop] [Verse 1: Holly Drummond] Try not to fall, try not to lose Any hope that the dawn might bring Losing faith in me and everything I do But I know we'll be okay [Verse 2: Stereotronique] We're on our way And we're not coming down There'll be no holding on And we say that we're all letting go Feel me now for all time
This is like Stereotronique's ultimate song. It has all the good features of his past songs, makes them better, and includes great vocals and a really cool house drop.
people have already pointed out Monstercat doesn't make the music. But 7.5 minutes is perfect for house/electro. Most dubstep tracks are 3-4 minutes because it's the same thing over and over and no need to extend the length. This track has multiple progressions and deserves a full listen
time flies man. happy 10th to my favorite monstercat song, wishing someday stereotronique may return to the label. also wishing extremely hard that i aint worried was not just a one off and that he's actually back but his socials dont seem to look that way. still holding out hope :sunglasses:
Can someone please make a progressive house remix of the part at 4:37? This is my favorite part of the song, and it'd be great for someone to house-ify this awesome song.
Monstercat media is the best, in fact it was their TH-cam channel that inspired me to make my own EDM, and I just want to say sorry for spamming the previous videos on this channel, because I know that it got a lot of you mad and I promise it won't happen again.
Theodore Davis He asked why it doesn't have more views yet. Obviously, he was implying that it was so good that it should have more views, but I took it literally by saying that more people haven't watched it yet. Hope I explained that alright :P
That's because Monstercat is expanding, constantly looking for artists with different styles. And the artists that are already here are improving with each song. It's wonderful. :)
*Lyrics:* [Verse 1: Holly Drummond] Try not to fall, try not to lose Any hope that the dawn might bring Losing faith in me and everything I do But I know we'll be okay [Verse 2: Stereotronique] We're on our way And we're not coming down There'll be no holding on And we say that we're all letting go Feel me now for all time (x2)
I doubt Holly Drummond and/or Stereotronique will read this, but seriously I don't understand how this song isn't top 10 on beatport. I keep listening and it's so well done. I know there is a LOT of electro house to compete with on beatport given it's popularity right now, but... I don't understand how this isn't up there. ugh
Electronic Dance Music. It's basically our word for what the majority would call Techno. Disco is just a sub-genre nowadays, but mostly remains in its time.
I love how the song switches from his classic electro sound design to that uplifting melody in the song. Though I wish the song would've ended on that positive emotion I still love it. 🔥
this song starts off with some beats because its Stereotronique. we finally build up into the intro. we then have Holly Drummond start to sing. the singing by her is really good. we then have Stereotronique singing... WOW i never knew his voice was so good. we then buildup towards the drop, the drop comes and its a very good one. this song as a whole is really good. the progressive house bit is REALLY cool. i like it when both genres get mixed.
Thanks everyone for all the amazing / positive comments on this track! This is definitely one of my songs I'm most proud of so far :)
One of the best ones on Monstercat Imo. Wherever you are, I hope you are doing okay.
Need a video of this song
love to u!
This song is VERY good for Stereotronique standards. That's why I love this!
And then you subsequently died 😭
Monstercat - Your go-to destination for finding the most highly underrated tracks out there.
not anymore
didn't think i'd see Monstercat here xD
Edit: and after all these years, it's still a great source for music
always
see your not wrong
indeed
The vocals brought tears to my eyes. They take up a very special place in the stereoscape when they come in.
I'm with you on that journey
what do you mean by stereoscape? you mean the community of fans of Stereotronique or something different?
Next time you listen to the song, keep in mind that stereotronique never produced another song for Monstercat after this one. The lyrics will have a whole new meaning.

No
Rootkit - Wildfire what
When 7 minutes feel like 2 minutes. One of the best sendoffs on Monstercat.
I loved working on this track. Thanks for all the lovely comments! :)
No problem
Holly Drummond's vocals are breath taking!
Stereotronique's vocals totally transformed this song.
with some help from holly
So this is Stereotronique's swan song?
That makes the lyrics so much more deep and meaningful knowing this was the last song they were going to write, it's like a farewell to the fans and a message telling them to not fret about it.
I hope Stereotronique continues making songs with his voice in them. Actually pretty good!
+Oblivioniic I would very much rather have him produce more in general but it seems like even that wont happen :(
The vocals are absolutely perfect...
Try not to fall, try not to lose
Any hope that the dawn might bring
Losing faith in me and everything I do
But I know we'll be okay
[Verse 2: Stereotronique]
We're on our way
And we're not coming down
There'll be no holding on
And we say that we're all letting go
Feel me now for all time
[Drop]
[Verse 1: Holly Drummond]
Try not to fall, try not to lose
Any hope that the dawn might bring
Losing faith in me and everything I do
But I know we'll be okay
[Verse 2: Stereotronique]
We're on our way
And we're not coming down
There'll be no holding on
And we say that we're all letting go
Feel me now for all time
thanks brah.
It's been 7 years, sorry Stereotronique but I have to hold on to this one.
Keep holding on
@@fleskimiso I most certainly will.
@@keinsteinaldinheim3959 So do I :)

That's a total Monstercat classic track
Got a notification two years ago... it was the release of this song... this is the song that made me start listening to monstercst
man idek I think it was a recommended video
The second "drop" gave me goosebumps. One of my favorite Stereotronique releases by far.
This is like Stereotronique's ultimate song. It has all the good features of his past songs, makes them better, and includes great vocals and a really cool house drop.
I'm personally not a big fan of Stereotronique's Electro drops. However, the vocals and the drop at 4:37 SOOOO worth it.
That was a progressive house drop btw.
@@DarkenedX08 thats why it was better
@@lunecker I know that now. I knew that two years ago, but I still felt like pointing that out at the time.

WE NEED MOAR STEREOTRONIQUE!
DAMM RIGHT
What has happened to him!?!?!?
Nothing, he just stopped releasing through Monstercat.
bspitihnev But...why? :(
***** I miss him too, but I think we all miss him:(
No Holding On is now 10 years old! This feels like a VIP of the 2012 track Gravity! Still damn good in 2023!
What happened to Stereotronique? I'd love a new track from him
And Insan3lik3? Where are they?
Mihály Hanics I think their last release was "We Are The Robots" earlier in 2014. I can't wait for their comeback either!
Monkeystaxx Nope, his last release on Monstercat was Open Hour w/ Rob Gasser, and he still releases outside of Monstercat.
Declan Hearne Oh woops haha, thanks for correcting me :)
Stereotronique was the best artist on the label, quite a shame that he left.
The melody is euphoric
Stereotronique his just so unique with his drops, they're really enjoyable :D
yeah like how unique rhusma and quake were :p
4:37 still incredible to this day

Stereotronique should've started using his vocals in his songs a long time ago, he's got such a great voice!
This is my new favorite song, of any genre or type, ever, of all time.

Stereotronique may not be the best artist on the label, but his send off was absolute gold
This song has some Steve Aoki sound to it a little bit. But Stereotronique always has unique sound. Love it.
Funny how this all started with Holly saying that she loved working on this track. Love the song, btw!
How does this not have more views?
Because more people haven't watched it yet *ba dum tss*
haha that made me laugh
Well I'm glad :)
