  • Providing cafes, bars, restaurants and offices with coffee equipment forms part of our commercial offering at Blending Room. These installations tend to be of traditional espresso machines, grinders and water filtration systems and all new coffee machines need to be booked into the roastery when they arrive.
This video describes our process at work, as well as a traditional unboxing of a commercial Sanremo Zoe compact espresso machine and Sanremo SR70 on demand grinder.
We firstly check that the box has not been damaged in transit, then unwrap the box and check that the delivery note correlates with the items on the pallet. Here, the serial numbers are also reviewed and marked in our Notion database of machines. Then, the espresso machine is unboxed and put on to a workbench ready for testing. We'll check that all components are present; portafilters, blanking discs, waste pipes and any other sundry items for the coffee equipment.
Once all of this is agreed, I'll then enter the machine into our asset register (if it will form part of our espresso machine rental scheme) and list the serial number in our master equipment database. From here I'll also pre-book the coffee equipment's first annual service and PSSR test into our service schedule database, again, built in Notion.
    Now for bench testing!
