"The Swarm is an extension of the Hive Tyrant. Cut off the head and the body will die. Then burn the body, purge the abominations from the existence" - Watch Captain Ajax Myrmidon
Your right hive mind Narrator this was one of the tyranids units that I was looking forward to you covering. Question though by killing off all those units that have the link to the hive mind and control all the lesser creatures through that all that really does is stop their combat organisation doesn't it? So all the creatures left at that point are just acting on basic animal instinct I'm guessing so they still would pose a big threat depending on how many are left but even without sending down or growing more HQ units on the ground that have the hive mind connection couldn't the hive ships in orbit be able to control the tyranid creatures to a lesser degree on the ground to give them some kind of basic combat information just you know not to the same degree as having those HQ units on the ground
And I forgot to say yes this is one of favourite units loved playing as it in Dawn of war 2 and battlefleet gothic armada 2 so as always grim thanks for your upload another great video as always.
That's true. The most you can achieve by killing these creatures is turning the lesser creatures into mindless beasts with no direction. These are, however, far easier to defeat because they lack purpose cannot think tactically anymore. There are some tyranid synapse creatures also, however, the deaths of which literally kill the small critters around them in a certain radius.
Gotta love the Tyranids. I remember when the Xenomorphs from aliens were the worst space abominations in fiction...
They gave birth to many others.
yup, well they came from there.. and the zerg came from 40k :P
Yay! More all devouring nightmares.....

Does the Dagon Overlord contsin Kroot DNA? That would fit since it evolves by eating without having to be respawned.
Could be. I'll likely do some videos on individual hive fleets at some point.
