One of the many reasons why Carson was a gem in the talk show world was that he had the best laugh. Totally spontaneous and real and from the heart. On the contrary Letterman had many fake laughs. Another reason he was a true gentleman and always respectful and always letted his guests shine whilst he himself remained in the background from where he secretly directed the show.

He took it over from Jack Parr back in the 60's when it was based in NYC and went Live at 11:30. They moved the production to Malibu but still kept the 11:30 EST time slot. You will notice that making that movie literally made Jim Carrey crazy. He truly gained mental health issues after that movie and if you watch the bio of it you will see it in his eyes. I liked Bruce Almighty and Liar Liar but I think his best work was that movie the number 23. I always felt he would make a good dramatic actor with a touch of evil, he should do a serial killer type role. I liked Bruce Almighty and Liar Liar but I think his best work was that movie the number 23. I always felt he would make a good dramatic actor with a touch of evil, he should do a serial killer type role. But lately with all his anti_ Conservative BS he has ruined his chances of having another hit movie.
