I always get a little twinge of sadness when you finish one of these roadtrips, sentimental for the beginning in Times Square. It's nice these daily videos. Hope you get to see Jen soon! Great work Carpetbagger 👏
I lived 20 feet from the Lincoln Highway in Hayward for a couple years, right off Foothill, and never realized it was the Lincoln Highway until today. I was into Sublime at the time and there was a high likelihood I listened to Lincoln Highway Dub while walking along the Lincoln Highway, thinking the Lincoln Highway was a local highway in New Jersey.
Hi Jacob, I live in Reno and thank you for stopping.. the big dome you saw near the hotel, they have shows up inside it it looks like the sky and they have a lightning show. Also the auto museum used to be owned by Bill Harrah, he owned Harrrahs Club many years ago and had a very large collection of old cars. Thank you for taking me down there I haven't been there in years!! Donner lake too I used to go there all the time when I was little.. thank you I have loved this series you've done. You're the best!
Been home for the past week battling covid and using the free time to catch up with Carpetbagger.. No matter how bad I feel, Jacob puts a smile on my face. Thank U Jacob.
That was awesome . You have the uncanny Knack for finding the most obscure but interesting road side attractions . You really have a gift . Blessings and Safe travels . Keep Safe ❤Keep Well❤
Loved sitting in the back of the car Jacob, getting to see places I’ll never see, another successful road trip under your belt, can’t wait to see what’s next, always fun, Thankyou x
Appreciate the extended ending on this episode, thanking your viewers for supporting you and riding along in the back seat. I have been a $3 postcard Patreon subscriber for a few years, and am now logging in to move myself up to the $5 tier (since everyone's expenses have increased recently). Not a huge amount at the individual viewer level, but if everyone (who has the means) did it...
I live in CA and am so happy to see you out west!! Where is that Alen spacechip?? I would love to drive out and see that!! Those big dog heads are from "Doggie Diner." We used to visit one accross the street from the SF Zoo when I was a kid. The resteraunt closed, but they still have a big dog head there as a landmark!
Holy wow! Not sure who you are, but Google homepage suggested your video and I'm so glad it did. (I wonder if you paid for ad space) ... Sad you missed the Reno Brews, Blues, & BBQ festival, but you had driving to do. Your voice is great and your stops are fantastic. Thanks! You earned a new follower!
Congratulations I was with you every step of the way in your backseat. You always take us on such fun adventures. Can't wait for the next one. Be careful out there
I've lived here for nearly (broken) 30 years and not once have I gone into the auto museum. I should absolutely go soon though since I'm finally moving back to California next month and can't leave Reno soon enough. It isn't nearly as elegant or appealing as it used to be. We're now the Logistics Canyon to San Jose's Silicon Valley and rapidly becoming as expensive.
I'm a little sad the Lincoln Highway has come to an end. I'm glad you did it and, it was enjoyable. Maybe someday I can do it too. That's true you can't stop everywhere, it would cost a lot of time and, money if you did that. You did stop somewhere each day. If people want to see more, they can go there themselves or, be thankful they got to see what you were able to go.
It was an honor to accompany you on this fabulous Lincoln Highway adventure, which only your special talents of observation, humour and narration combined can make such a special, interesting, educational and humourously entertaining trip. Thank you for taking me with you along your journeys which are so very helpful in keeping me not only entertained, but also healing my heart and soul from the losses of my brother Ken last October, my cat that was like my child last December, and my life partner of 22 years this past February. You have no idea how much watching you and your travels has helped me!!!!Double Attaboy, Carpetbagger!!!!
Loved seeing all the cool cars especially the cute Herbie 💖 your cheeseburger and fries looked so delicious and that chilled root beer looked so refreshing 😍 the car wash octopuses were so cute! 🐙 I really enjoyed this and congratulations on completing the Lincoln Highway! 😄 Thanks for also letting me tag along on these amazing adventures 🤗 best wishes and big hugs ☀️
Congratulations on finishing your Lincoln Highway adventure, Jacob!!! Since you are already in California, might I suggest you drive Pacific Coast Highway - Hwy 1, from beginning to end. I know it starts at Dana Point (near San Diego) but I don't know where it ends. Just a suggestion......Thank you for the fun adventures!!😇💖👍
I’m from Germany and I love your videos about your adventures and museum tours. I didn’t have the chance yet to travel to the US and this is the next best thing. It’s like being a part of a travelling family and I love it. Seeing all of those things with your commentary is a relaxing thing. Thank you for your videos and the time you invest for them! Yours Benjamin
Those dome cars are custom from the great mind of Ed Roth. Looks like I’m going to have to make a trip to Reno to check them out! Thanks for another amazing video Jacob.
This was so fun to watch and tag along with you! I’ve watched every night before bed and I’m going miss tuning in every night. Can’t wait to see where you go next ❤️
when the pandemic first hit i was depressed and lost a lot of my gigs as an entertainer then when i discovered you by surfing you made my whole life better,I also enjoy when you go to halloween events and you scream its hillarious thank you again
I didn’t go through all your comments, so someone might have already answered this. The dog, and the hot dog came from a restaurant that used to be called Pup N Hound . I know they had one in San Carlos California. On the corner of Holly, and El Camino. I’m pretty sure they shut down somewhere in the mid to late 80s, great hotdogs. I must say that Ben Franks in Redwood City Is a great replacement if you had to compare.
The dog heads appear to from Doggie Diner, which originated in California. I'm wondering if the octopuses came from Madison WI, we used to have two Octopus Car Wash locations, and when they were sold, the octopi disappeared, and we kind of wondered where they went.
Oh Jacob. The happiness you bring people is amazing. I absolutely love you. You should come back to Michigan and travel the outline of it. It’s amazing!! You have so many options to see.
i love watching your vids and I'm from lodi ca where the original A&W is located and we also have a fair called the Lodi Grape festival during September every year.
Or also you could drive across Canada. We have some amazing roadside stuff and scenery. You won’t be disappointed. Lots of totem poles and indigenous roadside sights in Alberta ! And Banff is gorgeous. Northern Ontario is something to see. Prince Edward Island where Anne of Green Gables is set.
Awesome trip. That is awesome that you got a view of the Golden Gate Bridge with no fog. Nice view. Thank you because like I have said by working from home due to the pandemic, its great to see your travels. Next drive to Alaska :) Then come back and drive through all Canadian provinces. Then head to Europe! Just some thoughts. Thank you again. I hope you get to explore the area. Head over to Point Reyes National SeaShore just north of the bay area. You can visit some of the historic over 100 year old farms and Point Reyes Cheese. Thanks again! Look forward to your next vid!
interesting fact about the 1902 Capitol, when I was in there one day a mechanic from the museum was there and mentioned the term "on the hot seat" it originated with this vehicle the steam cylinder had a seat on top of it and one person had to sit on the 'hot seat', that is where the phrase came from..We live in Reno and enjoy your videos Jacob...
US Route 62 runs from Niagara Falls down to El Paso. I frequently travel the Falls end & have wondered what the rest looks like. Perhaps I can live vicariously thru you!
I’d love to see you explore the west coast all the way up someday. This was a great trip to watch. It’s bittersweet when the big ones end. As always, thanks for making these videos.
I loved, loved, loved this series! I had never even heard of The Lincoln Highway until you mentioned it in your Route 66 videos. What a great trip! I am a huge fan! Thanks so much!!
Great series! I binged watched. I was thinking, I live in Denver and the Lincoln highway just skipped above Colorado. But we do have the Pan American highway running through our state. That would be an interesting one to do.
Well done Jacob, such a great journey, I’ve enjoyed everyday from Times Square New York To the Terminus end in California, it’s been a great journey I’ve seen things I will never see in my lifetime no doubt, why don’t you stay in California for a few days while you rest up before that long lonely road back again, take care and safe travels. A viewer from the U K

Thanks!
Thank you for taking us along with you; you are never alone on your travels.
Thank you Jacob for sharing your adventures with us. I find myself talking to you and answering you during the videos. I've learned a lot.
I lived 20 feet from the Lincoln Highway in Hayward for a couple years, right off Foothill, and never realized it was the Lincoln Highway until today. I grew up in Hayward and didn’t know the Lincoln Highway pass through Hayward. Now I live in Reno.
Thank you for your hard work on these trips. I'm loving watching them.

That dome must be pretty to see...the dome I think is next on the list if must see
Thank you. That was quite an adventure. May the wind always be at your back.
When going through Donner Pass, it's always good to bring a friend with you. Just in case...
In case you get hungry? 😂
I have a very dear friend who is the great, great, great grandson of Jacob Donner!
Being stuck at home it’s nice to travel with you.
Been home for the past week battling covid and using the free time to catch up with Carpetbagger.. No matter how bad I feel, Jacob puts a smile on my face. Thank U Jacob.
Dang! I’m sad it’s over 😂😂😂😂😂 Enjoy your rest!
Thank you Jacob ☺️ Awesome road trip!!! Can't wait for our next adventure 🙂

Glad that you completed the Lincoln Highway Jake! The face that he makes at 3:44 when he kissed the Blarney Stone made me laugh. 🤣🤣🤣
@@angelajones3131 I’m not sure Angie! Jake is funny though.

@9:31 - Funny you should mention it. The Batmobile was, in fact, inspired (mostly) by the '39 Phantom Corsair.
We're having a big heatwave inland California yesterday and today. I'm glad you made it across the highway! What a great trip.
So glad you made it safe and sound!! Really enjoy being in the backseat with you for all these travels!!
I like those back to the future references.

Have you done the Pacific Coast highway yet? That would be a beautiful drive ☺️
Northern X country-east., Canadian border crossings of US & see which ones are the most interesting through the lens of TCB.
Safe Travels
That would be expensive
Pacific coast hwy sf to Santa cruz then to Monterey I don't think is on hwy 1
Think Maine, Rhode Island, New Hampshire, and Vermont would be an excellent places to go to next.

Good job. It was driving me crazy trying to remember where I had seen that Doggie head. I thought it was Pup and Taco or something like that.
The Automobile museum has always been my favorite museum! I grew up in Reno. The art museum is also really cool! And the Nevada Historical Society!
I GREW UP IN AUBURN CA!! I drove by those same statues many times.
Great series. Let’s see what us fans can come up with for the next adventure!
Glad you made it safely I can’t wait to see your next adventure until I see you again
Oh Jacob. The happiness you bring people is amazing. I absolutely love you. You should come back to Michigan and travel the outline of it. It’s amazing!! You have so many options to see.
