You should learn to dig horse shoe plugs or use a coin probe so you don’t destroy the plug. A lawnmower would come along and lift your plugs out and leave a dead spot.

I always try to dig plugs but the soil where I am is made up of sand and small stones and it is hard to make a good plug. the plugs fall apart whether the ground is wet or dry. but thanks for the advice.
