Hi Chris, i did this to my 1/4 Neca Terminator from back in the day. i used Alclad 2 over high gloss black. for the Chrome : High Pressure and low Paint. i followed a tutorial from Stan Winston School of TH-cam. i Started with the Skull on a Stick which i rotated while spraying the Chrome! First u dont see much, because its a "lots of very thin Layers" Technik. It was so cool to see the Skull becomming more ans more reflective in front of my Eyes! Your Endo-Skull looks totally legit!
Terminator wins in terms of its high level of detail and intimidation. Robocop wins in terms of its simplicity and that “hero” fighting crime feeling 🙌🏼
@@jakerazmataz852 I feel way more sorry for Murphy, getting blown to bits by thugs only to be brought back to “life” with just a few functioning parts. Even the remake was just his brain, eyes, and vital organs. So sad. T-2 was just fun with Arnie, but I no longer support him after he said “screw your freedoms” during the you know what. I actually met him back in 2005, shook his hand as he said “nice to meet you” in his classic accent. Oh well 🤷🏻♂️
Oh this is crazy! Im gonna check out the other parts now, did not realise you were the "RoboCop Guy" so cool, getting a 3D printer soon and hoping to make something this awesome. As for who wins...well I was a sucker the RoboCop VS Terminator game on the SEGA Megadrive/Genesis...so im gonna have to go with Robo. 😂 Awesome use of the Bloodsport soundtrack to end the video too, I've just retconed a major mistake and subscribed at last, keep being epic sir. 😎
Fun fact: I figured out today on the subway from the man himself, that Paul Sun-Hyung Lee has seen your videos before. So good for you mate keep up the good work :D
Hey Chris! I did a very similar process on a slightly different 3D print (no neck or base). After I was done with the Spaz Stix paint, I went over the entire sculpt with black grease paint. Adam Savage posted a video highlighting how to do that to add weathering to it and I'm really glad that I did. One thing I didn't see in your video which I'd really like to know is how you did the teeth? That's the one part of mine I didn't do because I wasn't sure at all and didn't want to mess with it until I figured out how to do it right. Yours looks awesome!
Awesome man sounds like your on a roll. I brushed painted the teeth with an ivory acrylic and then added a black wash. That's it pretty much, nothing fancy. Hope that helps.
That model came out INSANELY good. I could never achieve your level of workmanship BUT I did hit the link to try and buy the files but it's no longer available!!?? I don't have an account or I would ask to buy the files. I'll keep checking from time to time and I'll create an account when it's back up for sale.
robocop wins of course! now you need the broken neural net chip and the arm in a case. i have both, the arm i 3d printed the chip i bought off the internet and then cut and marked it up.
Really good, That is one of the things I wanted to do! But? I don't understand how much this type of print would cost to do? How much filament does a project like this use for instance?
Thank you! I don't really do commissions because I'm too busy with my full time job, TH-cam hobby and being a husband so I apologize. But man you can really build one yourself. 3D printing is so much cheaper and accessible these days and the TH-cam resources to get you started are endless. I wish you well.
Hello, I'm new to this channel, impressive work dude! Btw I'm an artist and i love making craft, movies props and technical projects so can you tell me which 3D printer brand should I buy? Really need your advice on this.
There is a tons of options out there. I highly recommend the Bambu P1S if your ok with spending a little extra. After that I would recommend an Elegoo Neptune 3 or 4 Max especially for props. Creality K1 Max is awesome as well. Hope that helps.
Man I didn't film me painting the teeth which I'm glad I didn't because it was a real pain. I just brush painted with an ivory acrylic paint and a black wash acrylic paint. Thanks for watching!
Hello Chris! Love your videos, such an inspiration for my project! Can you please tell me, how do you make attachments on polyurethane parts? I tried velcro with different brands of glue, but nothing works😢
For urethane parts I sand the urthane part and the back of the Velcro a little with a low grit sandpaper just enough to scuff the rubber up a little and attach my Velcro with a good amount of Super Glue. Thanks for your comment and hope that helps!
Can you link which red lenses you used? I ordered some old stock Radio Shack lenses but they seem like a wrong radius. The diameter is correct for the eye but they just look different when mounted.
Man it doesn't look like they sell them anymore. I found some on Ebay..... Here www.ebay.com/itm/204364960386 there is one set of the red ones in there. That's what I used. I had to modify and dremel a little bit to get them to fit though. Keep that in mind. Hope that helps!
@@airshares Yes sir you should be good! They are the same lenses Hollywood Collectibles used on their chrome skull which go for thousands of dollars these days.
@@LinayatIlyas Look what I found on Etsy: www.etsy.com/listing/1620027065/terminator-skull-3d-printing-high?ref=share_v4_lx Here's the file I used. Thanks!
You are spraying too close to your work. You must spray in light coats and build up. That way you'll avoid that grainy, bubbly imperfections and or dripping, because the paint is still wet as the new layers hit the wet pools. It takes longer to apply but it looks better and many times will dry faster. I make props for film, television, and videogames.
It´s 1:43 my time and I watch this video....Well done, great result
Thank you so much!
Great Job Chris, well done
Pretty. I like that Murphy Cyborg head in the background.

I'll have to give it to the Terminator this time

I agree, great analogy.
Yea, but T-2. 😁 He was almost, maybe more, human than Murphy at the end. And def. a hero.

Looks better than commercial product. Only question is do you have space in your display room for a full size terminator?
