Fun Fact: The IDW Comics still show Gemerl living with Cream and her family as her loyal friend. During the Metal Virus Arc as Cream was being turned into a Zombot, Gemerl chose to stay by Cream's side. That is dedication.
Those comics are great continuation to the series in terms of tone and decent story telling. I wish they hired these people to write the story for the games themselves.
Funny how gemerl nowadays shows more independence from eggman than metal sonic. It's always been like that yeah, but still, metal nowadays never goes rouge, and it bothers the hell out of me
I'm still partial to the Generations version of the Perfect Chaos fight from the sheer awesome fact that Sonic has grown to the point where he could do the fight without transforming, though I get why you went with the original.
Isn't it canon that the rings Sonic is always collecting each contain chaos energy, but on a much smaller scale than the emeralds? If so, that really makes sense in a way. I know which fight you're referring to, and I'm here to say it can be very easily cheesed. If you swing the Wii Remote while holding forward, Sonic does a lunging stab. If you hold back, he instead does a rising slash. Do a lunging stab while Lancelot is still in Chaos Punishment mode, then do a rising slash, aerial spin slash, and another rising slash. Keep holding back and you will dodge Lancelot's own rising slash, which he'll always automatically do. Repeat the rising slash - spin slash - rising slash combo and keep holding back as he recovers. The fight will be over before he can even show off how the fight is different, sans his larger health pool. I get five stars on that fight all the time. Oh, side note, don't skip his intro animation. For some reason, doing that means he won't activate Chaos Punishment.
Compared to Bosses in like Unleashed, gonna have to say no they are not amazing, they may be updated in graphical quality and some new things but there's not really anything amazing or phenomenal.
Surprised Solaris didn't make the list. Aside from the awesome music, the fight is probably one of the times Sonic 06 is at it's most functional. Plus, I just love the concept of being able to kick ass as 3 super powered hedgehogs, fighting a God-like deity in the past, present, AND future. Also, Biolizard still gives me trouble even to this day. I never have an easy time fighting that guy.
I was gonna comment something like this, but you beat me to it. Sonic Forces is basically the '06 boss fight done poorly, if you think about it. Three on one, at different and same times.
Like with the levels the sonic series has a majority of fun and memorable boss fights even in some of the infamous games. Course half of them are with the egghead and his many mechs but I'm sure this list won't just be about him since they're plenty of different characters and monster bosses that are pretty epic as well.
The final boss from Sonic Adventure 2 is just so epic. While it can be a bit difficult to get used too at first, once you do, it's just so epic. My personal favorite.
Personally I really like the Generations version of the Perfect Chaos fight, despite and even because of the fact that, unlike the Death Egg Robot and Egg Dragoon fights, it wasn't changed at all. Well, not changed outside of the fact that by that point Sonic is powerful enough that he doesn't need to go Super to stand a chance anymore. Really shows his growth over the series.
WHEN DO WE EVER GET TO SAY WE FOUGHT SONIGC?! Sonic Adventure, Sonic Adventure 2, Sonic Heroes, Sonic Battle, Shadow the Hedgehog, Sonic '06, Sonic Rivals, Sonic Rivals 2... Nope, never.
Actually, when the Death Egg Robot flies up, it lowers a bit for a split second, long enough for you to jump above its arms before it takes off if you time it right. Don't try this with Knuckles, though.
3:46 To this day I always see Gemerl as Emerl's reincarnation in a way, which explains his close attachment to Cream. 17:50 Also, Tails and Knuckles don't get their own Super forms for this battle which is somewhat disappointing. 19:52 According to Archie and IDW he's powered by a Chaos Drive.

In fairness the chaos emeralds and the dragon balls can do many of the same things from reviving the death to time travel and grant the person immortality.
Not to mention Dragonball GT did the "negative energy of the dragonballs" thing just like sonic did the negative energy of the chaos emeralds. Apparently they both spawn creatures of pure negative energy trying to threaten the world.
@@Leostar-Regalius Ok so? That alone proves they can. In multiple games and manuals we see that the emeralds can: Manipulate dreams (Sonic Chaos Manual), reality (several), time and space, causality (adventure manual/guidebook/etc), destiny, fate etc
My favorite sonic bosses that haven't appeared on the list are The Final Fight (sonic 3d blast for genesis), Beta Mk.2 from Adventure, Sonic vs Shadow round 2 from Adventure 2, Egg Emperor, Black Doom, Erazor Djinn, Master Core ABIS from Sonic Riders: Zero Gravity, Solaris, Egg Dragoon, and Heavy Gunner. 10. One of my favorite reimagined fights for Silver. 9. It was rough to see Sonic basically having to put down Emerl again. At least Gemerl is still alive in the IDW comics. 8. It's funny how the Dark Gaia fight on the "weaker' console is better than the HD version. It's still my favorite. 7. Button mashing gripes aside, this was an excellent rival battle between Sonic and Blaze. 6. The story and context behind the Dark Queen fight are still amazing and the song that plays, With Me, is fantastic. 5. The original Death Egg Robot will always be the best. 4. Bold to pick Biolizard over FinalHazard, but I do love the fight. Supporting Me is also phenomenal. 3. Still one of my favorite final bosses ever and What I'm Made Of really stuck with me. 2. The part I love about is that it's the classical showdown. No outside interferences or godly beings. It's just Sonic vs Eggman in its purity. 1. This was the first sonic final boss I had ever beaten and I had fond memories of it. Sonic Adventure DX was my first ever sonic game and Perfect Chaos was a major contributing factor behind why I love it.
I'm in a unique position with the Werehog. I still absolutely hate it, but not because of the gameplay. I think the gameplay is just fine. It just makes absolutely zero sense story-wise.
@@ModernAegis a TH-camr named Fawfuls minion has a good defense for the werehog story wise. I doubt he’ll change your mind, but at least you’ll see the other side of the argument. Check out his top 10 transformations. If you still hate it, at least you’ll hear some good jokes.
"Alls well that ends well." Wow. The last time I heard someone be that confident in a location being destroyed, Anders was destroyed the Church in Dragon Age 2. Only he was more hated.
12:47 You can avoid the mini mines if you lure him to land slightly further away from the edge of the screen. Hitting him in the butt is the only practical way to beat him as Knuckles thanks to his lower jump height.
A majority of these bosses are mostly Eggman, some are against one of Sonics rivals at the time, and other times he’s facing off against a being of ungodly power,
Perfect Chaos also plays into the speed theme. You don’t just have to go through him, when you launch your attack he’ll attempt to push you out. You need to be fast enough to build a gold aura to beat that force!
10. Funny. I was thinking about that Silver fight when you mentioned him in that last Top 10. Really showed that Silver can be a threat. 9. And ever since, Gemerl has been a wonderful guardian for Cream. 8. Ah, I, too, favor the PS2/Wii version of the Dark Gaia battle. When I played this on 360, I remembered trying to do this without getting hit as ring replenishing was almost nonexistent. Oh... that was quite a chore... I'm sure it's patched by now, but I already beat it, so... I don't want to risk it... 7. The battle between Sonic & Blaze is up there being one of the best vs character boss fights. 6. Really made it more fun. 5. Oh, my PTSD is acting up again... Oh, debug mode, how I love you... 😄 4. I feel like both versions of Biolizard were great, especially back to back playing in the Boss Rush mode. 3. You could tell the Metal Sonic battle in Heroes were a lot of fans favorites. Especially when the climax of the first arc of the IDW comic series had the characters (old and new) face off against Metal Overlord, powered by the Master Emerald, no Chaos Emeralds on top of that. 2. Be it Wii or the Ultimate version, this boss battle was freaking epic. @@devonm042690 I think the point is that the emeralds could be used to restore the city, but I'm pretty sure they separated from Sonic after the fight
Sonic Heroes has a heavy anime-esque soundtrack as I had noticed when I revisited that game in the past. Fitting as that was also the time I had been binging the Astro Boy series.
My main gripe with Metal Madness is that I find Knuckles to be pretty useless. The airship throw is used so infrequently and you can avoid it pretty easily.

The bit with the Jim Carrey it was me works on so many levels. Egg man would totally gloat about unleashing a demon kaiju and seeing how Jim is the best part of the Sonic movies, this made me laugh harder than I expected to going in so thank you for that Josh.
9:04 "When do we ever get to fight Sonic?" Hmm, in Sonic Adventure as Knuckles and Gamma. In Sonic Heroes every other team faces Team Sonic once in the story. Yeah, those fights are really weak, but they still count
My favorite part when fighting against the Nega Wisp Armor was trying to match the final attack with the instrumental music. While it can be tricky, timing the end of the fight right before the music loops back was satisfying.
It took me YEARS to defeat Sonic 2 because of that blasted final boss. I started playing the game back in the early 90s when it came out on the Genesis when I was still a kid. I FINALLY beat it in the early 2000s when I was in college. I literally jumped for joy when I beat that stupid boss.
Here’s an exploit for the future. You can cheese the boss’ spawning by just running behind it while it’s rising up. The moment the robot starts walking, it’s hitbox is finally set. Meaning you can lay into it by literally kicking it’s ass, about once per step, till it stops to start flying. Saves a huge amount of tedium in waiting to hit it for all twelve hit points.
11:02 Silver in Black Knight’s multiplayer is named Galahad who is the son of Lancelot. Who plays Lancelot in Black Knight? Shadow So Sega either did this knowingly to add more fuel to Silver’s origin theory (aka future son of Shadow adding more to the Trunks comparison he has) OR unknowingly which had the same effect anyway
Some of my favourites that went unmentioned are the Egg King (a brutal final boss that might actually be harder than the extra zone boss), Ghost Titan (an easier version of the former that still manages to be incredibly fun) and the Egg Wizard (a Super Sonic battle that you can choose to either play defensively as Super Sonic or attack directly using Burning Blaze)
I don’t think I will ever understand why people think the 2 themes of Perfect Chaos should be swapped. You guys do realize that the point, at least I believe that it is the case, is that it plays because you initially thought you won only to be faked out and have to keep going.
To be Fair, the Chaos Emeralds transform thoughts into power, that's why the chaos Control can transport you through space and time o warp these arround you, so in theory this power could be used to "wish" to repair Station square after the Fight with chaos

An aspect of Death Egg Robot unspoken here: It is (I think) the first Sonic boss ever to break the 8-hit convention. Yeah, you have to hit this thing 12 times to take it down.
I'm guessing Beta MK 2 will at least get an honorable mention, but I still hope he can get on here. Perfect Chaos and the Egg Walker were pretty fun too.
10: Finally, some semblance of justice for Silver. 9: Never got to experience it, but at least it was a decent sendoff for Emerl. 8: Good fight, and definitely the better version, but I feel like it's just a watered-down Alf Layla Wa Layla. 7: Mid. This is easily the most emotional fight in the whole franchise. 5: Dread. That's all I can say. Dread. 4: Finally, someone who realizes the red orb attacks aren't unbalanced at all! This fight is amazing, and I love coming back to it. 3: #BringBackSuperTailsAndSuperKnuckles 2: One of the few things that game got right. It's like Reach for the Stars was meant to be orchestral the whole time or something. 1: Eh. It's seriously bogged down for me by the fact that the menacing music comes on *after* Open Your Heart and not the other way around. Also, the whole "negative energy" thing was kind of a cop out, and Sonic could've just used the Master Emerald instead since both Knuckles and Tikal were ready and willing to retrieve it. But still handles well.
Thank you Josh for saying the PS2/Wii version of the Dark Gaia fight was better. I want to play the HD version yet your commentary made me realise why people like the PS2/Wii version better.
I don't think I can blame you because in Sonic 06, blaze tells sliver that if all emeralds are collected then a miracle is supposed to happen and at the end Elise wishes that sonic would come back. Plus, in the second movie according to an ancient text that tails translates, the master emerald which (which in the movie universe is all the chaos emeralds merged together), can bring a person's thoughts into power. Which was how eggman bulit the death egg robot towards the end.
I would consider Sonic Heroes to be a good Sonic game… IF I DIDN’T HAVE TO SUFFER THROUGH THE PS2 RELEASE BECAUSE THAT’S THE ONE I OWN!!! (The salt will never subside) Also the Sonic Movies will always be great, as long as they stick to the source material.
The PS2 version was the only one I ever had and I still loved the game. Enough to replace that PS2 copy 3 times.... Next time I get Sonic Heroes, definitely on PC though.
Are you unaware Blaze's origin is still she comes from the Sol Dimension? Because 06 isn't canon and Blaze, in all of appearances after 06. She's a princess from the Sol Dimension.
15:27 surprised you forgot about the Janky water streams on both sides of the room. You touch those even once, and not only will you be set flying, just tapping them I swear I completely changes camera control
Between Darkspine Sonic (secret rings) and Excalibur Sonic (black knight), the alternate supers are *yet another* reason I wish they'd kept going with the storybook series, and made it a long lasting spinoff line.
Sonic Colours final battle is amazing. Its a shame that when they had the chance to remaster Sonic Colours and added the Ghost Whisp. They didn't add the DS exclusive Super Sonic battle, Nega Mother Wisp, even when you unlock Super Sonic by completing the retro game mode. Instead just like the original Wii Sonic Colours Super Sonic replaces the Wisps. Which is wrong
YOOOOOOO respect for acknowledging Nonaggression! Super fun true final boss. The Perfect Dark Gaia fight in the HD version of Unleashed feels more climatic than the SD one imo. Though yeah, I will agree SD has the better phase 1. Phase 1 sucks on the HD version. Someone thinks Dark Queen is actually a GOOD BOSS!? Major respect. Biolizard is a pretty damn mediocre boss doing it the intentional way. Really fun for speedrunning though. Perfect Chaos is really good if we're going off the buildup and story but... the boss itself I've kinda just grown tired of. Too easy and repetitive tbh. Used to love it but after playing it so much, not the best final boss out there. Good list overall though, but would probably throw a few different ones in myself.
10. Yes! I love this fight and does Silver justice. 9-8. Haven't fought 7. Oh dear... you all are going to hate me for this, but I actually am not a huge fan of this fight. In fact, I actually don't like the game in general, and honestly, the Silver (in Generations) fight was a much better character fight. Also, the button mash ending felt to long for me to like it or view it as epic (Now that's a huge hot take) 6. Yes! Another great fight! P.S. I played both Black Knight and Secret Rings recently. I honestly think Black Knight was the one I enjoyed, though I think I'm overall mixed on it, while I personally think Secret Rings is the really bad one with bad controls and very repetitive game play (though the party modes kind of fun) 5. Never fought 4. Yes finally, someone gave this fight the love it deserves. I am glad it wasn't just the Egg Golem a few other people put (it's a good fight but not my favorite). 3. Yes! I love it too. 2. Never fought 1. Really iconic fight, and it's really great.
Although I personally didn’t hate silvers fight in 06 I think it’s perfectly fine once you know what you’re doing generations was definitely a step up and really made you feel like Silver is a force to be reckoned with
Hoping the Egg Viper from Sonic Adventure is on here. Amazing boss fight - good controls, an intense time limit, multiple attacks you need to work around, and Robotnik's last-ditch kamikaze attack. Glorious time.
I don't blame you, both the chaos emeralds and dragon balls are very similar. Seven in both groups, you need to collect them all and they can grant the user god like powers.
I'm sad that the Egg Dragoon fell short, it's so fun in Unleashed. But I heard the words "I'm focusing on the Wii/PS2 versions" and I literally cheered, I own the PS2 version and dear god, it's fun
There's a trick with Death Egg Robot. If you're using Tails, or controlling Tails with controller 2, Tails jumps at the EXACT height to miss the claws. Also... I did NOT know that you could hit his face after he jumps.
Honestly the Nega Wisp Armor is such a great final boss that Sega basically rehashed it for Lost World and Forces, just in a slightly different way. It’s too bad that they aren’t as fun or fitting as the Nega Wisp Armor, but ah well, you can’t win ‘em all. Definitely agree with Perfect Chaos being #1, since it’s such a badass and epic finale, and for the first 3D Sonic final boss, they did a stellar job. I’d also say that they made the boss fight against Perfect Chaos in Generations *even better* by making the fight longer, including interesting platform challenges and making use of Sonic’s abilities by having him boost along the water. I’d honestly say both fights are solid enough to include in this list, and almost make up for Chaos not getting a boss fight in Forces. Almost.
11:00 Funner Fact: Silver's Black Knight counterpart is Sir Galahad, who is Sir Lancelot's son. Sir Lancelot is Shadow's counterpart... Yeah, this has led to a lot of fan headcanons. Not helped by Shadow being basically immortal, meaning he ACTUALLY COULD be Silver's dad. Huhn.
As one of the few Big the Cat fans out there (for the games at least, I've yet to read what he does in the comics), I would like to say that yes, his quest is kind of out of focus compared to everyone else's in Sonic Adventure and that he's just a fishing minigame that somehow got worked into a boss fight at the end. But, eh, at least his theme song is fun to listen to.
In all seriousness, this top ten was great! A perfect balance of humor and criticism. I give it an 8 out of 10. Never mock the werehog, or you'll never hear the end of it from me.
Im honestly a little sad that the Hyper Sonic vs Eggman fight from Sonic 3 Complete wasnt on here. It was the first time we got to see Sonic fight Eggmans final boss in a super form, first time we fought in space ( and not on a ship ) and the ending coming down from space with the Master Emerald was top notch
So I wanna give an honorable mention to the Nega Wisp armor from the DS version of Sonic Colors. The fight has similar concept but it's actually quite a bit tougher. Not to mention Eggman uses all of the wisp powers against you. Sure there's only 5 wisps in DS, but he only uses like 3 in the Console verison.
Not to everyone's taste but i'm going to put in my 2 cents for Sonic & Diablon from Shadow the Hedgehog. the rest of the bosses are pretty meh, Black Doom is alright and Devil Doom is fine as a finale but Black Bull, Heavy Dog/Blue Falcon, Egg Breaker and Egg Dealer (fking slot machine what!?) are all very mixed. But then you either A. help Black Doom to the end B.Help Black Doom on the comet or C. Betray Sonic in Final Haunt to end up fighting against Sonic and G.U.N's strongest machine, Diablon. Shields, A laser, an AOE antimatter cannon that you literally *cant* dodge you just have to back off from its limited range. the shield also means you cant trivialise the fight like you can with black doom by just, shooting the fuck out of it, you have to get close, bait a slap to lower the shield and then maybe get a homing attack off. Also it's floating for the first half of the fight forcing you to bounce off Sonic first. It's well designed, a solid challenge and a great use of the commander who was otherwise a pretty awful character. It's a shame you have to go evil somewhere to fight it.
Okay, the Sonic bosses. I did a Best and Worst video on Sonic bosses outside of the final bosses and am almost done with a ranking of all the final bosses. Here are my personal thoughts on your picks. #10 You know, I actually picked Perfect Chaos as the best in Generations. I may or may not change that, but Silver is still really good. #9 Eh, this fight's kinda good, but I definitely wouldn't put it in the top ten. #8 I love this fight! I would've placed it higher on the list, but that's just me. #7 Best fight in Rush, but I still can't get over that darn QTE at the end. I get close to killing my fingers every time. #6 Love this fight as well. You even placed it in the general area I would. #5 Obvious choice is obvious. I would've placed it lower, but it's still great. #4 Just like with Mystic Mansion, HARD DISAGREE. I may have picked Knuckles vs Rouge for the worst, but if I could redo it, I would more than likely swap them out for this fight. Yeah, the music is a bop, but it's so frustratingly difficult. Difficulty doesn't always equal quality, you know. #3 Aw yeah! This is fantastic final boss! Honestly, Metal Sonic should do it again sometime. #2 YES!!! I would've been happy if it had just been on the list, but the fact that you placed it this high makes me ecstatic! #1 Really? I mean, yeah, it's pretty great, but not my personal favorite at all.
While the list was fine, no real arguments from me, I can't say this has been one of your best Josh. The frequent mic problems, the editing mistakes. I get that given it's a month event you're on a tight schedule, but I don't think I've seen this many issues on one of your projects before. As an aside, it doesn't really count to say 'spoiler alert' if you're already playing the spoiler. I've loved your channel for years now, it doesnt feel good to have such a negative reaction to one of your videos.

@@edwardboland8957 I mean yeah it has it's good qualities...doesn't mean it's not terrible though.
Like with the levels the sonic series has a majority of fun and memorable boss fights even in some of the infamous games. Course half of them are with the egghead and his many mechs but I'm sure this list won't just be about him since they're plenty of different characters and monster bosses that are pretty epic as well.
2 Eggman boss fights and 2 Eggman mech fights (neither were working for him), that's hardly half.
@@GoodNeutralEvilChaos I was taking about in general not the actual top 10 list.
@@shadowlinkbds oh, sorry. My bad entirely.
The final boss from Sonic Adventure 2 is just so epic. While it can be a bit difficult to get used too at first, once you do, it's just so epic. My personal favorite.
Also you had to beat it in 5 minutes
Sonic Fighters & Sonic Shuffle
Sonigc?
@@ChiefMedicPururu Typo I'm feeling too lazy to edit.
Also Sonic Rush too...
The Final Chase fight with Sonic is a lot better than Rush's fight, if you ask me.
Actually, when the Death Egg Robot flies up, it lowers a bit for a split second, long enough for you to jump above its arms before it takes off if you time it right.
Don't try this with Knuckles, though.
Using the Liar Liar clip with a Robotnik mustache was brilliant on every level xD

To this day I always see Gemerl as Emerl's reincarnation in a way, which explains his close attachment to Cream.
17:50
Also, Tails and Knuckles don't get their own Super forms for this battle which is somewhat disappointing.

Turbo Tails is exclusive to the Archie comics where he's given a red cape and gloves.
Tails: "All's well that ends well, right?"
FTA: "THE CITY'S BEEN FUCKING DESTROYED!"
I always thought Tails (my favourite Sonic character) was either dumb or delusional saying that...
In fairness the chaos emeralds and the dragon balls can do many of the same things from reviving the death to time travel and grant the person immortality.
Not to mention Dragonball GT did the "negative energy of the dragonballs" thing just like sonic did the negative energy of the chaos emeralds.
Apparently they both spawn creatures of pure negative energy trying to threaten the world.
we only see the emeralds bring someone back ONCE and that was in 06, not sure about immortality
@@Leostar-Regalius check the sonic comics the emeralds can do a lot of stuff even rewrite reality itself.
@@Leostar-Regalius Ok so? That alone proves they can.
In multiple games and manuals we see that the emeralds can:
Manipulate dreams (Sonic Chaos Manual), reality (several), time and space, causality (adventure manual/guidebook/etc), destiny, fate etc
“All’s well that ends well, right?”
To quote Hellfire Commentary: THE CITY’S BEEN F$@$&$ DESTROYED..

Same dude, I just bought the jumbo werehog plush I love the werehog a lot. The combos you unlock are insane. He adds a lot to sonic's character too
I'm in a unique position with the Werehog. I still absolutely hate it, but not because of the gameplay. I think the gameplay is just fine. It just makes absolutely zero sense story-wise.

Wow.
A majority of these bosses are mostly Eggman, some are against one of Sonics rivals at the time, and other times he’s facing off against a being of ungodly power,
*What do you mean the majority of these bosses are Eggman? Eggman is only on the list twice!*

6. I had fun playing Black Knight myself. I remember beating it either in 1-3 days. I've beaten so many Sonic games so quick, I see it as a triumph. Plus, I had a lightsaber attachment for my Wiimote. Really made it more fun.
5. Oh, my PTSD is acting up again... Oh, debug mode, how I love you... 😄
I find it hilarious that I brought up the thought of Omega having an animal inside in the last video and the official Sonic Twitter brought it up the next day. 😆
1. You know, I keep forgetting the crazy shit that happens in the Chaos fight is in the middle of a freaking city. I mean, Sonic X showed the evacuation process at least, but still... I tell you, it's like the chicken or the egg when it comes to the whole Super Sonic - Super Saiyan debate. Me, it's just whatever to me.
The Sonic Twitter brought up what's powering Omega?

Regarding the ending joke, ‘06 showed that the Emeralds CAN grant wishes. Remember Sonic’s resurrection?
'06 also had a skinny Eggman. Your point?
@@devonm042690 I think the point is that the emeralds could be used to restore the city, but I'm pretty sure they separated from Sonic after the fight
Sonic Heroes has a heavy anime-esque soundtrack as I had noticed when I revisited that game in the past. Fitting as that was also the time I had been binging the Astro Boy series.
The music elevates the boss fights from great to epic
The fact that Jim Carrey actually played Eggman makes this video even better
My main gripe with Metal Madness is that I find Knuckles to be pretty useless. The airship throw is used so infrequently and you can avoid it pretty easily.
Mine is just that Tails and Knuckles transform by getting surrounded by Super Sonic's aura rather than going super themselves...
20:46 There’s also the fact that Perfect Chaos became powerful from absorbing Negative Energy from the 7 series staples. *stares at omega shenron*

The second choice you made just had me thinking: HAUNTER!!!!!
Shadow
So Sega either did this knowingly to add more fuel to Silver’s origin theory (aka future son of Shadow adding more to the Trunks comparison he has) OR unknowingly which had the same effect anyway
Movie Eggman: You know what I love about machines? They follow orders.
Metal Sonic: Am I a joke to you?
Omega, SCREW YOU CREATOR!
Emerl and Gemerl: Adios!

I definitely think the Frontiers boss fights have a chance to take the top spot cause MAN those fights Are AWESOME, music is FIRE, and the atmosphere is ELECTRIC
An aspect of Death Egg Robot unspoken here: It is (I think) the first Sonic boss ever to break the 8-hit convention. Yeah, you have to hit this thing 12 times to take it down.
21:43 Say it with me, everyone! “The city’s been f***ing destroyed!” Lol! It’s like an audience participation thing every time during that scene.
I'm guessing Beta MK 2 will at least get an honorable mention, but I still hope he can get on here.
Perfect Chaos and the Egg Walker were pretty fun too.
Bosses like Perfect Chaos are practically guaranteed to be on here. The only question is _when_ they're going to show up.
10: Finally, some semblance of justice for Silver.

4: Finally, someone who realizes the red orb attacks aren't unbalanced at all! This fight is amazing, and I love coming back to it.
3: #BringBackSuperTailsAndSuperKnuckles
2: One of the few things that game got right.
Egg Albatross from Sonic Heroes is my personal favorite. The map itself is fun and the music just SLAPS
Thank you Josh for saying the PS2/Wii version of the Dark Gaia fight was better. I want to play the HD version yet your commentary made me realise why people like the PS2/Wii version better.
Yes!!!!!
(The salt will never subside)
Also the Sonic Movies will always be great, as long as they stick to the source material.
The PS2 version was the only one I ever had and I still loved the game. Enough to replace that PS2 copy 3 times....
Next time I get Sonic Heroes, definitely on PC though.
@@DarkFrozenDepths Amen to that.
Are you unaware Blaze's origin is still she comes from the Sol Dimension? Because 06 isn't canon and Blaze, in all of appearances after 06. She's a princess from the Sol Dimension.
Doesn't explain why she still often groups with Silver in games afterwards, though.
9-8. Haven't fought
7. Oh dear... you all are going to hate me for this, but I actually am not a huge fan of this fight. In fact, I actually don't like the game in general, and honestly, the Silver (in Generations) fight was a much better character fight. Also, the button mash ending felt to long for me to like it or view it as epic (Now that's a huge hot take)
6. Yes! Another great fight! P.S. I played both Black Knight and Secret Rings recently. I honestly think Black Knight was the one I enjoyed, though I think I'm overall mixed on it, while I personally think Secret Rings is the really bad one with bad controls and very repetitive game play (though the party modes kind of fun)
5. Never fought
4. Yes finally, someone gave this fight the love it deserves. I am glad it wasn't just the Egg Golem a few other people put (it's a good fight but not my favorite).
3. Yes! I love it too.
2. Never fought

The reason the Biolizard fight feels unfair, which sours the ENTIRE THING, is that ONE FINAL ATTACK it has.
You mean where it affects the gravity?
@@devonm042690 Yes. And your rings are unretrievable, so 2 hits and you're doing the whole thing again.
I hoped that Egg Dragoon from Sonic Unleashed (OG ver) & Egg Wizard would be here.
I don't blame you, both the chaos emeralds and dragon balls are very similar. Seven in both groups, you need to collect them all and they can grant the user god like powers.
The only thing I don’t get is why the Sonic films don’t use the boss themes from the games.. Paramount’s missing out on the potential awesomeness!
I think they are trying to be original
There were two Ka-BUUUUMs at the end.
Almost.
It's nice to hear someone say something good about the PS2/Wii version of Sonic Unleashed for once
Introvert here. Feel attacked
Honestly should have split this into two countdowns ones me for bosses and one for final bosses
Ah, Oliver & Company.
I see you are a man of taste.
That would give perfect chaos a run for its money
For me, it's the truck. It's not really something you fight, but the race feels amazing.
In all seriousness, this top ten was great! A perfect balance of humor and criticism. I give it an 8 out of 10.
Never mock the werehog, or you'll never hear the end of it from me.
i honestly agree with this list alot, i just have the bigarms fight from sonic 3 as my #1 as it just feels so final and epic for me
To this day, I believe that Sonic Team missed a golden opportunity by not naming the Death Egg Robot the "Egg-soskeleton".
Huh. Gemeral's existence in the IDW comics makes sense now.
For Number 1 you should've done a fakeout and put the "you know what they say - the more, the merrier" boss.
20:39 I hear perfect cell’s PERFECT singing voice!
Hehe, Mister Perfect Cell's song was a...PERFECT addition.
Egg Dragoon not making the list feels like a crime. The music alone would earn a spot.
It's a shame you have to go evil somewhere to fight it.
to this day supporting me is one of my favorite sonic tracks in the series
Josh:How many DragonBall Z comparisons am I going to make?
Sonic: Until we stop getting inspiration from them.
7:48 they basically took a shot at the entire secret rift here
2 kabooms at the end? I'm not complaining, 2 booms means twice the fun.
How do you manage to still talk about Kingdom Hearts during Sonic month? Not that I’m complaining mind you.
