The N64 DD had the ability to have the game running with no player input? Sounds like that Super Mario 64 Creepypasta where every copy is personalized.
While RDI Halcyon wouldn't qualify; only 30 units were supposedly sold before the quick cancellation if a member of the project is to believed. Otherwise, 10 pre-production models are known to have been created.
