From Armenia, we went back into Georgia, crossed Russia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgystan, back into Kazakhstan, crossed Russia once again and currently we have already made it to Mongolia 🇲🇳

Miljaar dit zijn wij al zo lang aan het zeggen van te doen. Maar tot nu toe ist enkel maar werken en de tijd vergeten. Maar hoe begin je aan zo een reis? Verkoop je uw huis en of alles wat je hebt? Of hoe bekostig je zo een reis en of de tijd dat je niet gaat werken? Deden jullie onderzoek op welk land je gaat doorbijten van wat je wel of niet kan of mag doen? Of was het gewoon inpakken en vertrekken? 😂
Hey Dieter! Realiteit blijkt dat een 9 to 5 leven in België al snel veel duurder kan uitlopen dan "life on the road". Het is ergens een levenskeuze: we hebben bewust gekozen om 3 jaar lang in onze bakwagen te wonen, geen maandelijkse huur te moeten betalen en niet levenslang vast te hangen aan een hoop bakstenen... Gedurende die periode hebben we gereisd maar ook blijven werken en zo kunnen sparen voor dit avontuur. Is het geld op, is het terug opnieuw beginnen! ☺️ Vele dagdagelijkse zaken worden een uitdaging: drinkbaar water vinden, veilig overnachten, kleren wassen, ... Maar dat geeft ons net het gevoel dat we leven en niets vanzelfsprekend nemen 😁 We kiezen ervoor om in het nu te leven en dat maakt de toekomst onzeker. Maar uiteindelijk, is deze dat niet altijd? Het vraagt wel iets van opzoekingswerk: te weten voor welke landen je al dan niet een visum nodig hebt of bepaalde grensovergangen open zijn.. En natuurlijk reizen met een hond maakt alles nog net dat tikkeltje administratief uitdagender 😉
