- Knob point is an old parks a recreation sight that has been closed for a very long time. Any information on knob point is only 13 years old and the parks and recreation sight deems it only accessible by boat. With permission from parks and rec to reach the sight. And the possibility of the BC4wd Association maintaining the sight if we reach it, @DirtTheory and I take on this insane challenge.

That Madill y’all found was the remnants of a log yarder mounted on a ww2 surplus Sherman tank chassis.
Oh what ?!? Why were they mounting them on surplus tanks ?
@@LetsGetLost. The tanks were so plentiful after the war that you could buy them for pennies on the dollar, remove the armor, and mount whatever you needed to the chassis. The main issue was the gearing was too fast, so mounting a yarder makes sense as they only move to transport themselves to a new location.
There's still a few being used around nw Washington.

What ya need is those hedge trimmers that are long attached to both sides of your vehicle in a vertical position so as you drive down the trail it trims it back just wider then your truck, gotta be a way to engineer something to have something like that on the lead truck lol

So glad to see a new Canadian group of good old boys who get it. Felt like i was on a trip with you guys almost. I just moved from northern Alberta to western Australia two months ago and ive been REALLY home sick, this has both helped and worsened it because I've only been into BC for the first time in September '23 so this brought back a lot and makes me wish to explore more. Ideally once i get my PR/Citizenship here id love to spend 6months here and the other 6 back in Canada

And it was a trip like this that I built limb risers for my rig made all the deference in the world. And yes the pin stripes down the side of my Jeep make me smile because the enjoyment I get from finding the places buried in the back country that people have forgotten.
Yea I’m gonna be doing a set of branch risers I think. Will help a lot with visibility in trails like this !! And BC has no shortage of overgrown forgotten trails to explore. 🤘🏻

I bought a shiny 2014 Rubicon and was on the trails not even 24 hrs later people thought I was crazy. It was definitely some of my best memories. I also got wayyy more compliments when it was muddy than clean. That bald eagle shot was majestic. Love the channel can't wait to see more 👋🚙

Why i have limb lifters, and bought some for the JL. That looks awesome, love that stuff. Looks like a great trip and other places to camp along the way. Love that people don't like tight trails and call them inaccessible.
Yea I really need to look into a set of limb lifters. I’m always finding myself in some overgrown trails. They would have been especially helpful on this trip

I have a 2018 Power Wagon on 37” Toyo M/T’s and I’ve got a lot of pinstripes as well and I actually use my winch! I love going where other trucks can’t

@@LetsGetLost. ya I’m enjoying it, it’s definitely different than the island with the Muskeg up here, but I’ve been to some pretty cool places, we have actual sand dunes a couple hours north of town, it’s all sand up there, awesome camping and fishing as well!

The visuals are great with the shots overhead, infront and behind. There are just a bit too much of it. You can only use so many music shots with jeeps driving by.
I would do some more commentary, inside the vehicles, preparation.

I appreciate the feedback!! I’m currently working on incorporating more of a range of shots and getting audio from the jeep for drone shots so I can get done on the music aswell. All a learning curve. With every video things will improve 😄

Looks like fun, Rubicon driver from BC myself. Only note, please stay away from tensioned winch lines.. I've seen it go bad.
Thanks for looking out for others 🤙 I know i was probably a little too close I will admit that. Finding false comfort with the synthetic lines isn’t a good idea. Gotta get my hands on one of those weighted which line dampers. Nothing would be worse than a serious injury away from immediate medical services.
@@LetsGetLost. Always my first thought, don't want any injury out there whatsoever. Yeah the blankets are great, especially for wire winches. For synthetic just standing out of the way of the danger zone and not crossing over the winch usually does the trick. Stay safe buddy.
