Technically there is no engine and what you're hearing is the motors. I've been in a Jaguar Ipace (because there's no tesla dealerships near me) and the take off is amazing! Love hearing the sound of the whirling motors!

@@ogloftus 100D is the long range version. Sacrifices performance for a bit more range. Uses small rear motor instead of large found on P100D.

What amazes me is just how empty the dashboard is. No buttons, no twisting knobs, no gear sticks, no brake levers and no speedometers. Just two screens, AC vents and a steering wheel that's it.

I am not a hardcore Tesla cultist, but I will still admit that I love the interior of the Model S & X. I hate everything about the Model 3 tho.
It must be weird to drive one of these as I'm used to these cars with manual transmission but it must be a headache when it's on the road with no battery.
