Best game ever, i played this on a wheel when i was 5 yrs old, its insane , even in f1 2022 you cant park car alone in pitlane, here you have absolute control you can do whatever you want in pitlane. This game was insane and so ahead of its time.
Problem here at Monaco with these EA F1 games was the AI couldn't finish a race due to mainly crashing. I once did F1 Challenge 99-02, started back of grid and by end of race was in top 4 with only 4 drivers left 🤔
It's a real shame Schumi. Really love these old EA F1 games. I have them all F1 2000 Season Championship version, F1 2001, F1 2002 & F1 Challenge 99-02 (modded up to 2005) F1 2000 CS is most frustrating one though. On my old XP machine it runs in direct 3d, but my newer system OS laptops only in software. Tried solutions like DGvoodoo wrappers and dxWind but no joy. Hey ho though 😃👍

Thanks Shumi. Yes I'm a real fanatical SIM racer. More classic with a touch of modern Cody F1 too. But classics my love from Grand Prix Legends, GP series by Geoff Crammond, old NASCAR & Indycar (ICR 1/2) Gtr2 and more. Keeps me busy & occupied 🤞
My favorite F1 Game. it was more realistic in its technology. It was very difficult to win races or get pole positions with lesser teams such as Minardi or Arrows and after rains sessions, the dry tracks were extremely realistic.

Hola Schumi Jr., saludos desde Maracaibo (Venezuela), mi amigo este juego yo lo había comprado cuando salió para PC, y recuerdo que habían una opción, una era que se podía habilitar que apareciera en la parte superior de cada auto el nombre del piloto, quiero que me ayuden en lo siguiente, en la modalidad Novato casi siempre selecciono los neumáticos Hard, pero en ocasiones empieza a llover, entonces al entrar a los Pits, los pits crew me cambian los neumáticos, pero me vuelven a colocar el mismo tipo de neumático y no para lluvia, que puedo hacer en ese caso... Muchas gracias...
@@SchumiJr. Hello Schumi Jr., greetings from Maracaibo (Venezuela), my friend I had bought this game when it came out for PC, and I remember that there was an option, one was that you could enable the name of the car to appear on the top of each car. pilot, I want you to help me in the following, in the Rookie mode I almost always select the Hard tires, but sometimes it starts to rain, then when I enter the Pits, the pit crew changes my tires, but they put the same tires back on me type of tire and not for rain, what can I do in that case... use an online translator, sorry if something is not well written. Thank you very much...

If i remember correctly, you have to go to the option menu, and set yourself the buttons, in this case i personally use tab to enable or disable the name up to the cars. For the changing tyres, before you enter the pits, you have to call the box. I use the enter button, and then you have to select the various option that appear in the little menu at the right. I use the up and down arrows to scroll the option, and the point and comma buttons to change for example what set of tyres i want at the pit stop. Hope i was of help

Non ne hanno fatti molti fino al 2006, ma direi che la serie grand prix fatta da geoff crammond (specialmente il 3 e il 4) o grand prix legends siano decisamente i migliori. Questo gioco qua per quanto possa essere divertente, a livello di realismo non può assolutamente competere
@@SchumiJr. GP4 tanti settaggi ed era facile andare a sbattere senza aiuti nel controllo di guida, col volante poi... le versioni EA successive a questa sono piu' arcade?
EA ha realizzato soltanto f1 challenge 99-02 dopo questo di titoli per pc, e per quanto personalizzabile (esiste una mod per ogni singola stagione di f1, il che è una gran figata) non è comunque realistico come i giochi che ho menzionato nel mio commento precedente. E comunque si, GP4 è davvero difficile da giocare, posso confermare

La struttura grafica direi che è la stessa, magari ci sono differenze nelle livree delle monoposto e sulla fisica, sul comparto sonoro. Ma in fondo non son poi così diversi. F1 challenge è fatto meglio, ma anche questo gioco mi ha saputo divertire molto

Well, it's not the only game that you can do stuff like driving free in the pitlane, but yeah, still a very good game for the time it came out

a 2002 game has more realistic v10 sounds than the current codemasters F1 games, doesn't seem that EA cares about that either.
Idk what to say, i personally consider codemasters games to be pretty good, even if the v10 sounds are not that realistic
