This has me pissed off. Not even a full week after Khyree's passing and he does this? I want to like Addison but I'm so disappointed in him right now. The off the field mishaps do not cancel out on field success. I hope he gets a suspension and a heavy fine to learn a lesson.

KOC could have set a precedent months ago by firing Wes Phillips for speeding while drunk, instead of slapping him on the wrist. When a 45 year old MAN gets a "punishment" like that, it makes the 21-25 year olds think it's not that big a deal, as far as their future with the club. KOC calls the plays anyway, would it have made THAT much difference whether Wes was here or not?
I'm glad Mackey brought up the "let's get paid" moment. At the time, it was maybe just a funny quote that you could look past. But I do remember people questioned his character even then, and now it just looks even worse today
After his good rookie season I hoped that he would have matured a bit, also after last years speeding incident. But seems that he was in spring break mode. He should take Jets as example how to behave.

Not excusing his behavior because is awful and it has no excuse. But an explanation of him falling as sleep could be there was bumper to bumper traffic which is becoming even comon late at night in LA and being drunk he fell asleep.

Let's appreciate Justin Jefferson had seven catches for 47 yards but had just one catch in the second half. In Giants playoff game, when you need a player to make big plays, he did nothing nothing, but he'll let's give him big cash for garbage time yards
Not to mention only helping us get to playoffs once in 4 years to begin with. WR's just don't move the needle where it matters. Nobody can name the last WR that made a difference for a team in a playoff game or on a playoff run. That money would've been better spent on the IOL and IDL, positions that do move the needle where it matters especially in January. If the DWI allegations are true I would let Jordan addison's contract just run out because if you were to pay him he would probably do more of the same .Even if for the next 2 years he doesn't do anything like the DWI I still will not pay him because people are on their best behavior when money is involved and after they get paid it just makes them more of what they already are.

Got an Addison jersey for Christmas last year. might try to sell it off for a throwback Jefferson. Have high hopes for the kid and want him to succeed. But a DUI weeks after a teammate died, posting vacation photos with not a mention of Jackson on his socials, and NOW posting a mimosa after this incident has soured my opinion

The coach was suspended for the same thing and so should the player. He needs to be suspended for 8 games. This isn't 40 years ago when players had no real training on this. These kids go through how not to be stupid training from college until they get to the pros. He continues to make ungodly stupid actions and needs to go.

The 140 mph drive down 94 at 140 was a kid who just signed a BIG contract. The latest incident is a guy who thinks he's an NFL star and he's immune. Guys like Jordan Addison can not handle having A LOT of money. They go from having $200 in their checking account in College to having a $8 million signing bonus parked in their bank account. That's a tough adjustment for anyone.

I want to share a memory. I was 21 years old. Home from leave from the Army. Went out with my two brothers and their girlfriends. The bar was in a rural area. We left at closing time. Got back to town. It was like 3:30 am. I tried to convince my one brother to stay at my parents house, that night. He was bond and determined to drive to the farm, where he lived. I was woken up by my father, that morning. He passed out and rolled the pickup, he was driving. It rolled on top his girlfriend and killed her. I swore off, drinking since.

Mackey keeps saying these mistakes Addison keeps making makes him appreciate JJ more…another person who was in a major leadership role you should learn to appreciate (but won’t) I think after this coming season..Kirk cousins, another guy this would never happen to…yet this show goes out of its way to go way beyond football in personally attacking that guy..repeatedly attacking leadership, personality and even wardrobe (childish at times).
Kirk was on Netflix last year, showed himself really well but this show managed to even massage that into a negative. Think JJ was ever complaining about cousins leaving him out to dry? no-which is a testament to JJ..but it’s also a testament to cousins..who is very accurate and doesn’t get JJ hurt. Great JJ doesn’t complain but if he does get hurt what good does that do anybody.
Also - look at what the Vikings record was without JJ last year vs without Kirk. Nobody is ever going to say Kirk is better football player than Jj but he is more valuable to the team because he is an elite player/leader playing the most important and difficult position in pro sports…which is why that position gets paid the way it does…see Jared Goff for the most recent example.
JJ is a great player and leader as is Kirk..Kirk finally had a coach that was a fit who had his back…too bad we only got 1.25 seasons with them together..Kirk was 18-7 with KOC btw.
Easy to say now in July that JJ will be positive no matter what happens at qb..let’s see how that plays out when the bullets fire for real starting September before we give too much credit. JJ is a competitor, how will he be with losing if it’s because of incompetence at qb? As great as he is as a teammate and leader he is also a fierce competitor that wants to win. He won’t be happy if that isn’t happening. Wins were happening a lot with Kirk paired with KoC.
None of this is meant to be an attack on JJ, if there is any non qb in pro football I’d pay it’s him largely because of his attitude and leadership but more an indictment on this show’s embarrassingly horrible coverage and false/unfair portrayal of Kirk. For example taking Tues off, bet he’s putting in 80 hours per week which includes all the rehab and memorizing plays in the car among everything else Kirk does to be the most durable player at qb of his generation..yet this show rips him for taking Tues off for spending time with his young family…including 2 small children that will never be that age again. You really think he’s cutting corners getting ready for game day, really? He is as big an over achiever as there is in pro football. U think he’s able to overachieve the way he does working part time?…c’mon man.

Kirk was criticized because he's a loser on the field and was getting paid way too much money to be that big of a loser. We're not Vikings fans to watch players be the worlds greatest dad, we're here to see this useless team win a SB. Having said that, Jefferson plays a position that doesn't move the needle where it matters so it's beyond stupid to pay a WR that kind of money. There's no value there.
