The Globe Trotter and his carry-on are beautiful luggage, but they also make you a target for theft. Sometimes it pays to be a little less obvious.
Also, with a little prior planning, he could avoid buying 100s of adapters.. just leave one in the luggage. Similarly, leave your toiletries bag and even basics like a few pairs of underwear and undershirts, a belt, a set of basic cuff links, collar stays, etc. in the luggage so they are always ready to go and you won't forget the little details.
If you make recurring trips, write up a packing list and put it in the luggage too. When you pull out your tote, go down the list and assemble everything you need on the bed. Check off the list and when it's complete, pack it up. Worry free!

Each additional time he used the word "smart" I tried to harder to figure out what he meant by it. I have a degree in English and I'm still baffled by what this Englishmen meant with the description "smart."

+Elitenino1 To be honest, you should use shoe trees that are made out of Cedar and preferably are shaped in the ankle area as well as the toe. Cedar will help to diffuse any smells and a full constructed shoe tree will keep the shape of the shoe better.
