In a third of IU fan's eyes they want rid of Woody. I can't see into their brains to know why they don't like him. I loved Woody the player at IU and Atlanta and he had a successful run as an NBA coach. But he found it more difficult to adapt his coaching to the college game than he thought it would be. This season could change all that with a deep run, maybe even a 6th banner., Go IU
If they don’t make it to the 2nd weekend of tourney. They better win the BT. If they do that it could be understandable if they just run into a hot team in tourney. But an early bow-out, and sub top 3 finish in BT, is a unsuccessful & disappointing season with this roster
I would comment that Mike Woodson is on the hot seat as was every coach since Knight. Is it fair...no? I predict this edition of the men's basketball team will perform very well with less than double-digit losses, maybe 4 or 5 with 2 wins over Purdue.😊
He's a 4th year college basketball coach. If he was 30 years younger he would've gotten a little bit of slack. He doesn't do himself any favors with some of his comments.
If he doesn't AT LEAST get this team to the sweet 16, he should be gone. Last years team was way better than how it finished. He is not recruiting overly well. He is not winning at a high level. He has alienated a good portion of the fan base with his 'true fans' rhetoric. I don't see him being the long term answer for this team. That being said, I'm not sure who the long term answer is. They probably should have bit the bullet and made a change with Dusty May this year. That remains to be seen, but it sure looks like he hit the ground running at Michigan.
Yeah, I was at senior night when he said that. He and all the middle aged dudes (30-40-50) years old just looked at each other and smirked like "this guy is a fucking joke.". We all wanted to boo, but senior night didn't feel appropriate to boo. But he's definitely a joke.
