Hmmmm, let me understand something here. There is no way Taurasi could stand up to the pressure you seem to believe that CC is experiencing now correct? And since you don't state why that is the case, you basically assume it a priori. Well then, I have a question for you, why would you want to choose a player that would draw that kind of pressure (CC allegedly) over Taurasi who wouldn't? You're making a case that Taurasi would be more effective than CC because she would be given "space" to create against her opponents.

I'm not expert but the WNBA's version of ''physical basketball'' is , we ignore the rules and our refs don't do their jobs. Its actually inexcusable because its sloppy basketball, they don't play like skilled players.
The W is becoming more skilled, and that is to say "skilled" as you use the term. The rookies coming out of college are slightly faster, and have a little more shooting range than the pioneers of the league. All of basketball, international, NBA, college, are morphing into starting 5 players that can stretch the defense with their shooting. The W will get there too because they have no choice. If a person can shoot the 3 ball at plus .400, that is equal to a player shooting the ball at .600 at the 2 point range. How many players can say they were a career .600 shooter? Now, how many players are shooting the 3 ball at +.400? That is what changed basketball. Math, and the ability to practice the shots until you're marginally more proficient.
ALL basketball has become unwatchable because of all the 3-pt Bricks! Who wants to watch the constant misses?!? Go back and look at the statistical summaries of the NBA playoffs. In most games, both teams combine to shoot the 3-ball at a 25-30 percent clip, which is PUTRID, while making well over 50 percent of the 2-point shots! It's not basketball anymore, it's a continuous, unguarded 3-point shooting contest, with BRICK AFTER BRICK, the norm. Coaching is abominable, they've allowed the idiotic players of the past decade, and their "Math," to ruin the formerly-great sport of Basketball! 🏀
I recently happily deleted all my mobile espn apps. I never watch any espn programming. I go to fox, nbc, & cbs , & nfl network, mlb network, NHL network, & nba TV for all wanted & needed sports programming. Espn is dead just like all streaming.
And Dan, when the Fever play the Sky ....why not faceguard Chendy Carter 94' with the girl from Ohio St (second round pick Celeste Taylor) and let's see how much more she has left to guard Caitlin ........
@ld3789… or that, you know, kept their politics out of sports. The first step in bringing people together in this country? Hanging out, watching sports. Leaving the political bull tucked away in your brain for a few hours. Go CHI Bears.
JJ Redick has balls of steel and a really, really thick skin so he’s a great pick for LA. He’s not replacing Sherman, West, Riley, or Jackson. He’s following (does anyone remember?!?) Darvin Ham. Does anyone remember the last seven (post-Jackson) coaches? Vogel brought them a championship in 2020 but nobody remembers him, either. Redick will spend a couple years there and see LeBron out and we’ll be on to another coach. Just like the last seven. If lightning strikes he might do a Vogel and I’d be happy for him. But you can’t deny that Redick post-game interviews will be interesting bordering on entertaining! 😅
Dollywood in Sevierville, Tn is now rated the No 1 amusement/theme park in America. Good riddance to Disneyworld and Disneyland. Ol' Walt would be spinning in his grave had he lived long enough to see his visons turning into travestys.
Dan Hipsher's career high school scoring record was finally broken this past year. Hipsher went on to play for BGSU and was captain for 2 years. I'm wondering if Coach Dakick remembers his WFOB radio show from his days at BG and the cheeseburgers from Al-Mar?
Imo: the reason Lebron has had "the most manicured career" and "the most thought out career" is because Lebron realizes anybody who he works with or he brings around him is almost assuredly gonna make generational money. So if he's gonna bring these people generational money, he wants to make sure they're solid people or people that he likes... can't blame the guy for that, I'd do the same
What’s really disgusting is ESPN would push the “student/athlete” narrative. And would hand former athletes jobs, promoting athletes to accept not making pros.
Every time I see that Lou Holtz figurine, I'm reminded of the funniest celebrity impression ever -- Dan Patrick as Lou Holtz singing The Killers' "Mr. Brightside," (It was only a kiss, it was only a kiss).

ESPN IS GARBAGE NOW. ALL CHANGES RUINED IT .
Dan is goated for shutting down Jordan 🤣🐐
Lebalco coaches the lakers like hes coached every team hes been on hes the owner/gm/coach/player lmao
@espn it’s sad you raised me only to become a corporate stooge. I’m not paying a cable company to watch your broadcasts
LUV IT !
Women’s college basketball is the same
ALL basketball has become unwatchable because of all the 3-pt Bricks! 🏀
IMHO Jerry West resume should include beating perhaps the most iconic backcourt ever Pearl and Frazier.
I recently happily deleted all my mobile espn apps. I never watch any espn programming. I go to fox, nbc, & cbs , & nfl network, mlb network, NHL network, & nba TV for all wanted & needed sports programming. Espn is dead just like all streaming.
Great show!
Great conversation.
And Dan, when the Fever play the Sky ....why not faceguard Chendy Carter 94' with the girl from Ohio St (second round pick Celeste Taylor) and let's see how much more she has left to guard Caitlin ........
This was great. Thanks to the Dans
I get the vibe this channel leans right. Nothing wrong with that I just wish there was a new sports channel that was down the muddle
@ld3789… or that, you know, kept their politics out of sports. The first step in bringing people together in this country? Hanging out, watching sports. Leaving the political bull tucked away in your brain for a few hours. Go CHI Bears.
@@jeremiahbrewer6115 yup out alltogether would be nice, but I think its idealistic and we are passed it as a society.
You know something's going wrong when Dan Patrick is trashing his former employer.
Kilborne and Mayne were so hilarious.
Holy smoke! That ISN’T Knight. 😙
Ok let’s have a super talented girl ,White, Straight, go into a league that is Black and lesbian sounds good right. 😒
Dollywood in Sevierville, Tn is now rated the No 1 amusement/theme park in America. Good riddance to Disneyworld and Disneyland. Ol' Walt would be spinning in his grave had he lived long enough to see his visons turning into travestys.
Truth
GREAT SEGMENT!
Outstanding interview! Two pros doing what pros do! 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Dan Hipsher's career high school scoring record was finally broken this past year. Hipsher went on to play for BGSU and was captain for 2 years. I'm wondering if Coach Dakick remembers his WFOB radio show from his days at BG and the cheeseburgers from Al-Mar?
DP & DD choppin' it up: awesome
DP droppin' swear words: priceless
Imo: the reason Lebron has had "the most manicured career" and "the most thought out career" is because Lebron realizes anybody who he works with or he brings around him is almost assuredly gonna make generational money. So if he's gonna bring these people generational money, he wants to make sure they're solid people or people that he likes... can't blame the guy for that, I'd do the same
As a Celtics fan, the finals coverage was an abomination.
I couldn't even watch any of it. Sports game coverage is totally unappealing to me.
Miss the old sportscenter crew.
Kudos to loyalty.
Ask Dan how George Floyd is doing and blm.
I tried tp post the interview to Facebook and it they would not allow it, says it violated their content standards
I just posted the link, no problem
Great job Dan D. Great listener makes the best interviewer
Forget about Caitlin Clark how is it fair that you have some ladies in the WNBA going to the Olympics for the 6th time that is ridiculous please there's a lot of other ladies that would like to go how is this Fair
How do you not know the purpose of punctuation?
@@timkinley1779 no sorry 😐
I’m old enough to remember when ESPN was relevant…..
Din o saur...
The "Lou Holtz" bobblehead looks like an aging Ken doll. The red sweater with white-collared shirt tunes people into Bobby Knight.
Great interview!!!
So does the WNBA bei g physical mean CC should just ignore incidental contact or fight back? What does toughen up mean? Fight? Or Keep playing?
How can they bring back phill after all the racism claims lebron and his posse made against him
He was kidding
It was a joke
Great interview always enjoy Dan Dakich
