@@johnruffin3291 he has really specific technique, I have a tenor playing friend who has been taught similarly, If im not mistaken I think Dave also plays with a pretty dry reed
Only in America: a man with a $7000 saxophone, a $700 mouthpiece and a $300 ligature, is overblowing the instrument and playing some arpeggios. The crowd claps and cheers, tells it's all the result of "insane practice time".
So am I. You can hate jazz. I don't think you should, but it is an opinion, but discounting the opinion of a billion people as idiocy is where you went wrong. If it is a practiceless art form, then you can go right ahead and do exactly what he did.@@zvonimirtosic6171
Good saxophone for sure but, folks you ain't gonna automatically sound like Dave liebman if you buy this horn!;-) maybe in 20,000 hours of practice.......
thats correct. H may sound good in any sax he grabs. The important thing is to be disciplined and study a lot of harmony and practice, practice, practice

Absolutely Yes! He has been one of the greatest saxophonists since early 70's. He had colaborated with Elvin Jones and Miles Davis!
This guy's awesome, sounds like a hard reed and mouthpiece to play, but that tone is worth it
It looks like he fighting that mouthpiece, but I guess that’s just his way of blowing

Qué animal por Dios !! Es increíble lo que toca Dave 💪💪💪💪🎼🎼🎼🎷🎷🎷🎷
glad i own and play that horn, never going back to selmer.
What is that silver neck? Is it original to that horn?
What is the song in the second part I know it’s improvised but the song itself I’ve heard somewhere. Asking for a friend
Hey Al, it's In a sentimental mood
I know the sopran is a keilwerth, but which tenor sax he is playing?
Hi Frank, it's also a Keilwerth. He talks more about both instruments in the Lieb Talks Shop video: th-cam.com/video/OP444kSXqWw/w-d-xo.html

Go ahead and do it. Make it sound good. Play some random arpeggios if it is so easy. The floor is yours.
@@Anonymous-u8r8j I was commenting on D. Liebman and his "improvisation", which is horrendous nonsense done in pompous American style.
