I Have the Adam LZ-Mat Armstrong Porsche 911 GT3 And Here's What I Think...

- This 2022 Porsche 911 GT3 is the former Adam LZ car that was crashed into, then restored by @MatArmstrongbmx, with the help of @jackbuildsit, and now owned by @tavarish. I've been enjoying the car in my possession for the purposes of this review. My history with Porsches isn't the fondest, the brand never clicked with me as a whole. But it was a chance encounter with Chris Harris that led me to change my mind when I saw him and a friend of mine chatting about their personal brand new 992 911 GT3s. I had to stop and wonder...what am I missing? I've finally figured it out.
I've driven dozens and dozens of high-end sports cars and exotics, and the 992 Porsche 911 GT3 may be one of the purest and best sports cars on the market, bar none. 2023 911 GT3s and 2024 911 GT3s stay largely unchanged.

About the grading system:
All grades are relative to a car's respective category. For example: an SUV's score cannot be compared to a sportscar's. Different segments are graded differently.
I lean toward and prioritize performance on my scale. Suspension reflects the balance between handling and firmness of the ride, but also varies based on class of car (i.e. a luxury SUV is all about luxury, therefore suspension score is graded based on luxury and not handling). Power is about straight-line speed, which is affected by power-to-weight. Interior takes into account aesthetics, ergonomics, material and build quality. Design is highly subjective and nothing but personal preference. Likewise, so is sound. The final C&C score is purely bonus points. A 'cool factor', if you will.

Edit: I called the exhaust RSR, I meant to say JCR. 🤣
Wow !!!❤❤
Fantastic video. I had watched the entire Mat Armstrong build so just seeing this car out and about and not an insurance loss to the corn field is awesome.
Thank you for sharing.
@@benhill8454 Thanks for watching!
Kudos to Mat, He really did a great job restoring the GT3
It's absolutely perfect.
Matt Armstrong did a super job restoring that car.
Getting it leveled and aligned right by Porche.
I love the screaming exhaust.... 🏆
I'll give you a like and sub mate. It really is a fantastic car, and what Mat and the rest of the gang did to restore this car was amazing.
Thank you!!
This was an outrageous build by Mat and Team better than it came out the factory
Well done Mat for doing a great job putting this beauty back on the road as good as new….. no better than new !,!
I genuinely LOVE the gold color he chose for the wheels.
@@lockingdiff totally that made the car his.

You could almost feel his new found love❤ for the GT3 ooooozing out the screen 🤣
Didn't even notice you only got 1.7k subs until I looked. Great review, great production. Keep it up 🔥
Thank you! Yes, it's still a relatively new channel. Mostly hobby, but I hope it grows :)
Mat put his hart & soul into building that car he cross the pond. With parts unavailable in the US. & to my surprise he gave it away yes his dream car. 🇬🇧 Well done M.A bless 😇
What a great review, subbed...thoroughly enjoyed!
Glad you enjoyed it! Thank you!!
I've got one of these. There are lovely to drive. Hugs the corners. Real head turner. It's perfect in every way. I love it.
super cool to see you with this car! i legit clicked off a matt armstrong video to your and said wait a second he looks fimiliar!
I appreciate that! I've enjoyed my time with it and currently shopping for my own! 😅
Seeing another GT3 RS is the highlight of this video!!! Amazing car
Yes! And it's the same one I took pics of at the dealer just 3 days prior. Allegedly, it's owned by a very well known former baseball player. The whole thing was one awesome coincidence.
Ignore what others say. Keep doing what u doin. Subbed u and want to witness your 1 mil one day.
Thank you!! Fortunately, the like % on this video is 97% :)
That car creates feelings in me that even i don’t understand
Great review!
Great review. I feel if I were ever in the fortunate position to buy a GT3 I’d go comfort seats and no half cage. For me it would a fast road car that might one day go to a track. 👍🏻
Yes! Comfort seats without question and keep it as base as possible. You just want that transmission + engine combo.
Ita a shame Adam wanted nothing to do with the car after Matt rebuilt it.
It'd have been a nice reunion for sure.
Can't really blame him, not sure I'd want to get into a car that my last memory of is being in a crash
Adam is probably still pi**ed at the guy that hit him so he doesn’t want to return to the car on principle.
I never realised how invested I am in this car, to see other channels review it and hold it with such pretentiousness already. We are witnessing history in the making
Got to agree Porche is the best handling car I’ve driven even though it was a 1996 911 paddle shift auto it was on rails I can’t imagine how good that thing is😃
Loving the car is being driven extensively. Freddie's car needs to be driven all of them. I believe the yellow seatbelt could be better looking if its black with yellow stitching.
White noise commentary is constant, leave a few spaces for us to feel and see and hear the vehicles you are commenting on. Lovely car, I enjoyed the build and repairs by Matt and team but nice to watch an independent review
While I agree with you about the spaces (I've experimented with this in my first videos), unfortunately I can see in the metrics that people skip quiet parts of past videos and jump ahead. If I had production money and time, I'd be able to make those quiet moments interesting with a montage or some really awesome b-roll footage. Unfortunately, I'm a one man team with a friend who operates the camera during exterior shots. Hope you enjoyed it, overall.
@@lockingdiff overlay your commentary with just camera shots of subject not you all the time and invite viewers to listen or watch to feel included and ask them to comment. Giving an opinion that may differ from yours is a great way to interact, and be honest ! that exhaust is a nightmare ! we all know it lol what we’re they thinking it would put you off any distance driving in the car so never a daily. Just my opinion. Clever marketing to get in the car whatever the cost 👍
@@martindavis925 There are plenty of b-roll and pictures overlayed. We could film more, but it's 100-degrees while we shoot this.
Id have to agree. Rattle rattle.. .
Well timed pauses to listen and appreciate are golden.
Nice touch with the purple shirt. I'll post my less professional video with this car soon. Well done
YOU NOTICED! Hahaha
jealous you got to hold onto the car for them. its the pure dream car
I agree. It's virtually the perfect sports car. I'm happy to have terrific friends.
Why is Adam LZ being referenced still, the car has nothing to do with him anymore.. all reference and props go to Mat Armstrong for his amazing job.
Because he was the original owner? And because the damage was sustained and footage made viral while he was the owner?
super loud exhaust seems to be a mat trademark. good job on the restoration though.
This was really well-produced - camera work, script, audio all on point. Great work!
Thank you! Believe it or not, no script here. All freeform thought :)
Equal parts extemporaneous and impressive! 😂
wait what... owned by Tav now?
I guess I’m included I love that car
It's an absolute weapon. Every car enthusiast should drive a GT3
if only I could order one at MSRP
You just have to call around and find the right dealer. Porsche North America doesn't allow dealers to take in custom orders above MSRP. But some dealers risk the trouble.
good job , are you hoovies brother ? :D
You know...I'll make sure to pluck a few of his hairs for a DNA sample.
This car review will boost your channel
Hopefully!
I don’t like the purple, myself. Other than that, it’s a truly beautiful car.
Did Matt sell the car to tavarish?
Yes, he did an episode on his 2nd channel.
if this car is 9/10 sound whats 10/10
Great question! Carrera GT, Lexus LFA, most modern Italian N/A V12s. 458 Speciale is close too. Things along that nature.
front bumper fitment gaps are a little off
Likes are at 911... 912 now 😅😂
I have to say one car that sounds just as amazing stock the gt 350. And will give that car a run for its money in all areas. And is affordable to most people.
GT350s are amazing cars. Also, another car with a superb gearbox!
I had to bring up because I own a 2018 GT 350. I will not be able to afford a Porsche ever like 90% of the population let alone a GT3 if you can even get one. Porsche to me is way too $. I would spend 100k on the new Amira not a Porsche nothing against them. I’m just saying.
@@_ALPHA_619 Emira drives great. I had a chance to drive one months ago, and I liked it a lot. But the clutch was extremely heavy. Otherwise, great car.
3:07 whut! No one knows MAdad's name.....
🤣His dad's a riot.
Im sorry....what kind of power do you need to get this car over 8 out of 10.....this thing is crazy fast.
A Chiron is crazy fast. A Plaid is crazy fast. A Lucid Sapphire is crazy fast. Those would all be 10s. A GT3 is very quick, but it would be obliterated by the others mentioned and look like it was standing still.
As proven by Mat beating it with his RS6.
Exactly 🤣@@Stevesixty7
Who is this guy
My name's Nick. What's your name?
This car is passed around like a $2 304!🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️
LMAO
There's no way I would purchased this car not repaired by an approved expert.
Jack Builds It is an approved and certified body expert. He oversaw a lot of the rebuild. The overall damage to this car wasn't that bad, which is also why it fetched crazy money at the auction.
Porsche gave it the seal of approval so your opinion counts for zero
@@cliffwilliams6521 Right 👍
What’s with all the semi pubescent haters in the comments?
I've only seen one thus far who posted two messages. No worries! He's 100% wrong about my seating position too. Thanks for watching!
Its a 992 gt3
Did I say otherwise? I literally say 992 10 seconds after I start speaking.
992 is generation, 911 is model name, like nissan gtr, r33 r34 r35 are generations, gtr is the name
Goodwood isn’t in London. It’s about 80 miles away.
Why can’t you Americans understand that the UK isn’t in London.
I've been to London. Going back again soon, in fact. You fly into Heathrow or Gatwick (which are London) in order to take the train to Goodwood. I know exactly where the show is. The bottom line is they flew to London and spent 4 days hanging out at Goodwood, and then a few more days in London. Ergo, the gang was in London.
@@lockingdiff neither Heathrow or Gatwick are in London.
Gatwick is 30 miles from London, in Sussex and Heathrow is in Middlesex, 14 miles away from London.
Ergo. You know fuck all about the UK.
@@simonshotter8960You are splitting hairs to try and win a ridiculous argument. You know well enough that Heathrow is in a borough within London (literally called: "The London Borough of Hillingdon). And you know that the "Greater London Area" includes Heathrow. Crawley might not be London proper, but Gatwick serves the GLA, and the Greater London Area begins just a short distance North of Gatwick. Hilarious argument for someone to curse someone else out. Talk about triggered. Yikes. 🤣
amazing car, lousy color
Not to good on the gear changes 😮😢
Strong arm is interesting. You sir are not
More insults, please. Helps the algorithm.
@@lockingdiffyes. Well handled!!!
You are not a driver. Seat is not in the correct position for your height
And here I was hoping for validation from a dude named chrisyoung7870. :'( One day, Chris. One day.
😂
Nah. I dont like this.
