- In this lesson you learn words and phrases you have good use of when you´re in a Swedish city. The video is recorded in Stockholm.
A brief explanation of adjectives is also given.

I’ve watched all of your videos and I’m now a big fan! Your teaching approach with humour, grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, cultural context with acting and a real life context and acting is something I always try to do in the classroom with my students as an English teacher as well. You’ve answered some burning questions in this video I’ve had about Swedish for a long time! Confirming the pronunciation of “dig = dej” and “de = dom” and also the word “ligger” featured at the end of a question about the location of something. Well done! If you meant to write "...but not English" in Swedish then it should be "...men _inte_ engelska". =P
I like your very clear pronunciation. Your videos are very helpful, nicely made.
Just remember that it is pretty exaggerated, and that normal Swedish is smoother.
Kopen in dutch, kaufen in german and köpa in swedish= to buy.
Köpa is pronounced shopa. So, from there comes the word shop/shopping in english.

My great-grandfather loved Stockholm and kept a tapestry of it above his workbench here in America after he and my great-grandmother emigrated in the late 1800s. He was a skilled carpenter. I still have the tapestry and hope to visit Stockholm someday.

Im from Finland currently learning Swedish, and this really help, even tho finish and swedish are pretty similar. Tack så mycket😊
Finnish and Swedish are not similar... They come from totally different language families, with very different syntax. The only similarities would be the loan words.

I'm loving your lessons! The Swedish i is really different! It reminds me of the Russian sound ы as in "мы" (we). I was looking for a lesson including this particular sound and the one I found (by another person) went over it quickly as if it's a sound we can easily get, but it's not! It's really the only vowel sound you have that I'm not 100% sure about!
