These were by far the best swedish lessons on youtube. Such a friendly and funny atmosphere which really makes learning as easy and relaxed as it should be. Tack så mycket, Erik)
Hey! I’m from Belarus, speak Russian and Belarusian as a native speaker. I’ve been studying English for 5 years and Swedish for 1 semester. Thanks to your videos I’ve learned so many phrases and significantly improved my language skills - now I can easily formulate lots of sentences, based on the vocabulary I’ve learned here. Thanks so much for the hard work you do!
Erik Edler I would love you to give an opportunity to connect with you. Maybe email or discord? As I said, I’m very interested in Swedish and in Sweden’s culture. I hope we could have some conversation, which would be not only pleasant for us, but also would have some teaching purposes. If you wouldn’t like to show your personal data openly - just please connect with me either via email - mokpblu.kpot@gmail.com or via discord - do.what.thou.wilt Hopefully for your answer soon! :)
Ah, this is perfect! Like that German guy near the start of the video, I've been able to practice the reading/writing part of Swedish but it's more difficult to practice conversations. It's really important to hear Swedish spoken naturally by Swedes, which makes videos like this so great. Tack så mycket Erik!
Probably the best you've done so far...it is REALLY helpful for me hearing swedish live while reading subtitles, please make more! Tack så mycket och vi ses snart på din webbkanal!
I visited Stockholm a few weeks ago and I got in love with this country, it's architecture, it's nature and especially with the people. Now one of my goals is to learn Swedish (wich in my opinion sounds really beautiful) and hopefully to live there at least for some time to learn more about the nordic culture. Te envío saludos desde Valencia España, Erik🙋 Feliz año nuevo🎆🎉
Ever so Marvellous! It has been an alluring video. I'm Andrea from Milan, Italy, nice to meet you. I have been studying Swedish language since August 2018. I do adore your language and your speaking . Thank You very much indeed.
Just watched a few minutes of this, it seems really good to have real conversation. Så kille från tyskland sägt....det är enkelt att förstår i boken men, det är svårt i parken, i stan ! Tack !
Tack Eric. Jag har tittat på alla video du har gjort. Det är en stor hjälp till mig för att jag har lärde mig svenska. Jag bor i Stockholm också! Kanske någon dag vi kan träffas i här.
I know this video took a lot of work and is several years old now, but it's been such a great video for me to come back to just to listen. Your interview style is so great, you'd do the Swedish learning community a great service if ever you had time to do more. :)
Hello Erik, are you going to continue the course or you're just going to end it here. You are a wonderful teacher and you're helping thousands of people to learn swedish. It would be very good if you were to continue the course. I've went through the course a number of times since it covers so much information. Also, it's really funny.
Hej! Erik, I've been learning a beautiful Swedish language thanks to you! Thanks for that. I wonder if you ever come back. Waiting impatiently. Tack så mycket och hej då!

You're such a great teacher Erik! I hope you can make more videos teaching Swedish soon! I just watched a video explaining how Swedes hate small talk and came straight to this, hilarious haha
Det var så trevligt att se dig tillbaka! Jeg hoppas, vi ska mera filmer från dig ha. Du är nog så stilig och rolig som alltid. Ha det bra. Kramar och kyssar til dig från Förena Staterna!
The peculiar pronunciation of the swedish "i" has always intrigued me. So fascinating. I think it's called the "viby-i"... I would love for Erik to make a video about it!

Hi =D Hopefully you did go to Sweden this summer! And hopefully you aren't tired of the language yet! Thank you for your support, I'm sorry I didn't reply until now. Wish you a great fall with your friends!
Jag älskar det!! Very creative! It surprised me all the people outside even in the winter. Nu jag vill ha ligger i Stockholm för sommar! Again, keep doing your videos! I learn a lot! Tack så mycket!! :)
I have a simple observation about the translation; it is better to have another color because the earth you have is wearing its beautiful white dress ... Så jag är skånsk ☺🙂😄
Super, thanks! Any chance there is a transcript for this? To help studying vocabulary? Lots of new words I’d love to put into flashcards...I will do that anyway, but if there were a transcript it would be a huge help. Since you did beautiful subtitles...I thought maybe...anyway, super video for learning Swedish!
You're so welcome! Love your enthusiasm, that's a great idea! I only have a transcript for the scenes in the studio, which is just a fraction of the video. So you do best in following the subtitles! That in itself is an excercise that will help you remember and take in, moment by moment!
Thanks for your videos they are so helpful ! Im studying swedish by myself and it's not very difficult actually but I really can't pronounce it ahah it's just too difficult and when I listen to native speaker it's almost impossible because they just eat all the words and I don't understand anything
Can someone explain the word “ju” to me please?? It confuses me so much, I think I get what it means but I don’t understand where one puts it in a sentence.
Austin K-V Ju is a word used to put emphasis on something that you want to get across. For example, if someone keeps questioning you in Swedish: "Var har du lagt äpplet?" You could respond with: "Jag vet ju inte var jag lagt äpplet." The ju is placed between vet and inte to place emphasis on you not knowing where the apple is.
To give even further explanation to the mystery of "ju", it is often used in situations like the following: -"Var är min mobiltelefon?" (Where is my mobile phone?) -"Jag vet inte, jag har inte använt den" (I don't know, I haven't used it) -"Seriöst, var är den?" (Seriously, where is it?) -"Jag vet inte, jag sa ju till dig att jag inte använt den!" (I don't know, I already told you that I haven't used it!) In this instance, the "ju" could be roughly translated to "already", as a clarification word. Used to further emphasize that you indeed do not know where it is, and that you've already made clear that you do not know so, and have gotten slightly irritated that the person asked you where it is once more. Hope this helped you :)
kan jag träffa dig någon gång, och har fika. Jag har just flyttat hit från Amerika, och jag försöker lära mig svenska. Jag bor i Knivsta men jag kan kom til Stockholm någon gång. Jag hoppas att du svara snart. Tak.

The peculiar pronunciation of the swedish "i" has always intrigued me. So fascinating. I think it's called the "viby-i"... I would love for Erik to make a video about it!
I thought that was just something that Erik did.. Then I heard the interviewee make the same sound.. So this sound is normal in their language?
tmuxor I think it’s depending on where you live. Like some parts of Stockholm pronounces the ”i” more than other. Like ”vi” becomes ” viiiiiiiii”.
ERIKKKKKKKKKKKKK!!!!!! You’re finally back! I just started learning Svenska with my friends! We’re planning our trip for the next summer!!! Your videos are so helpful and you’re so cute!! 😀😀 TACK!!! Ha det så bra😎
