    Excellent video which confirmed all of my suspicions about the typical eBay repair scams and hoaxes out there. Thank you for trying to help the Saab T8 community.

    I wonder if ecumaster DET3 would help with trionic 8 problems or if it has to be standalone ecu like emu classic which is slightly more expensive than used confirmed good ecu with guarantee which can develop same problems later on

    What is the best way to bench test the Trionic 8 ecu? Or is it even possible?

    If that chip isn't the problem, what is?

      Trade secret. Also - the fault cause depends on the fault codes too.

    I am having p0035 and p0034 at the same time. The car iss running fine except I have to jump the starter replay to start it(Turn key to start won't crank). Is this something the fix service can do?

      Sorry for the late reply. These are not typical ECU codes.

      @@hirschmannkoxha bro, hi! I badly speak on eng, pls say me
      The car starts to troit, reacts badly to gas, there is white smoke and smells of gasoline. Errors on open 1-4 cylinders and bypass valve. Car 9-3 2008, can it be repaired? I am engaged in complex soldering of motherboards. We have ECU units that are only used, but what if it breaks down again in 2-3 months? I would like to hear the opinion of a professional

    So I sent my ECU for "repair" to one of these eBay repairmen and its still faulty. My ECU is sitting as a paperweight right now. What should I do with it now if I want it to be properly repaired? What do you recommend?

    •  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Cheapest option is to find a used spare and clone Your ECU - hoping that new one will live longer.
      There is no guarantee that repair #2 or #3 will be success, or permament, altought there are people claiming fixing over 100 ECUs. In my opinion best recomendation depend on Your local market prices and availability.
      I will give You example from Poland:
      Cost of fixing ECU is from 130 to 250usd (around) but there is possibility of failure, or errors hard to fix.
      Cost of used ECU is from 250 up to 500 usd - where some are tested, and some are just pulled out straight from scrapyard without testing - its still a lottery. +/- 80usd for cloning if not included in price.
      Cheapest driving T8 cars starts from around 1200 usd.
      So, repair/used ECU/donor car/NOS if possible in acceptable price range - it's really personal choice.

      @ I meant after I get my ECU replaced, what should I do with the faulty one? Can I still sent it somewhere to get repaired if the repair has already been attempted by someone else? Or is it useless ?

    • @hirschmannkoxha
      @hirschmannkoxha  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Unfortunately we would no longer accept it for repair. But you should keep it for spare components. Some stuff isn't produced anymore.

    I sadly got the p0638 00 fault code and the p1682 00 fault code. My biggest problem is that I need the car daily and I don't have access to any other car. How long does it usually take to repair or find a another used ecu?

    • @hirschmannkoxha
      @hirschmannkoxha  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      As of now we need with shipping (depending where you are from) around 14 days for a repair.
      However, feel free to write us a message with your location and VIN at kontakt@hirschmann-koxha.de and we will see what we can do for you.
