I ran into this ship by accident with a non-upgraded Jackdaw.. all it took was one broadside and I fuckin died
They depowered the jackdawn during the legendary fights. You get reduced speed and maneuverability.
Try doing basic turns in and out of these battles to see the huge speed difference.
yeah not being able to use speed travel sucks, but does it really affect your maneuverability? didn't notice that but shit it's pretty useless if he gets too close lol
The El Impoluto took its tactics from Gregorio from Skies of Arcadia. Always putting you in a positions to headbutt you. At least it doesn't have the battering ram on it. That s*it would split that Jackdaw in half with the speed it goes.
So i know the only that felt that Jackdaw was depowered during those fights. Any other time I can look away ship keeps going, here I looked away and ship halts lmao
That's fucking ridiculous. I'm sick and tired of retrying this shit. It's not supposed to be this hard. The attacks are unavoidable. It's stupidly ridiculous shit with ridiculous 360 fucking rotation in 1 second to the point The damn ship flies to ram you twice at 0 speed. Defies every law there exists just to make it a "hard" boss and I hear there's an even harder ship in the next game. Who in ubisoft had the brilliant idea that this would be fun or challenging?

Did not work for me one bit, she just plows right through and and ll of my barrels and rams me like a torpedo on crack. And yes I have the ship fully upgraded... Just need to keep coming back and eventually get a (random) good run, some get it sooner, others later. As with any "plateau" level in gaming. But maaaan this is sooo irritating and frustrating lol XD

Honestly, El Impoluto wasn't as tough as AC Rouge's final legendary ship, the Storm Fortress
Larger than two man of wars, more ammo than 3 Morrigans, more speed and dexterity than a gunboat 😂
The Storm Fortress was an absolute beast! Horrible. "Master of The North Atlantic" trophy. I always wondered why it was classed as gold before I got it. That should have been a platinum trophy.
All legendary ships in Ac4 are nothing compared to Storm Fortress that shit hard as duck for me

@@amiramri3032 it seems the Morrigan is way stronger than the jackdaw. If the jackdaw struggled to fight the 4 legendary ships in black flag, The jackdaw wasnt capable to defeat the storm fortress even if you try and try it a hundred times.
I failed my first 4 attempts and figured out I had to use those damned fire barrels (never upgraded because it's quite redundant in usual fights). Got that & still failed the first attempt, on my 2nd attempt I was about to die (can't eve see any red on my HP Bar) but managed to range broadside & swivel her to sink her. Phew, what a fight.
The Ram Charge you get for defeating all the legendary ships is so worth it though!

I think the most satisfying thing to do is barrel-stuff a bunch of fire barrels into it when it's right behind you.
Just beat this on my second try. Strategy is to get behind the ship after it rams you, and use chain shots to slow it down while you continuously ram it from behind or the side

+Junokaii It's the difference in the xb1 version and the 360 version. On the 360 you can even jump onto the ship and kill the people. On the XB1 version you can't. Huge difference in the ships, and the maneuverability/damage of the ship.

Yeah, lol. I had the same thing. It rammed me, hit a wave and rammed me again and despite the loss of momentum I got full damage both times. Most of my life bar gone in one go!

I never thought this would be challenging. Is it because I played the pirated version? Because the original Steam version is quite different and much more challenging! And yes he RAMS you and shot you at close range like a bitch he is. It might looks easy, but actually it involves knowing how the enemy works and how Jackdaw could win in this tight situation. Here is my strategy.
1) At first, just face him and STUN him with front chain shot attack before he gets too close (I shot the chain shot before he is in range).
2) Then stay out of his course and then move to his side and use the POWER SHOT.
3) Don't forget to use SWIVEL as it also STUNS him after using power shot/side cannons.
4) If you get out of range for power shot, use side cannons to attack him! If he can shoot you with those stupid-ass cannons that means he is in range too.
5) Don't let him chase you from behind! Keep navigating & if he is behind you (he is fast as fuck!) use barrels and use stun attacks often (chain shot or power shot + swivel) to stun and attack him.
6) Do NOT waste any seconds trying to run from him, just keep attacking with every second count!
7) Keep trying, don't think about your failures and use your heart.
Just feel that you can beat this motherfucker and you will actually win! My God I actually screamed in joy after actually defeating him rather than win at first chance.

Upgrade your ship
You can beat it just by chain shots.
Just get close and give it as many chain shots as you can give, and do it continuously.
It doesn’t even move, like at all almost.
Very easy.
You may need to full upgrade the chain tho.
An alternate strat is to use frontal chain shots to slow it down while you're stationary to significantly reduce ram damage. Then quickly build up speed after it's love tap and out dps it when you exchange broadsides at close range. Spam mortars until it charges you again, then repeat.
I tried laying mine fields and running away and she just ploughs straight through them and rams me from behind. What's worse is that there's no avoiding the ramming from behind, because turning doesn't dodge enough, and when it hits I'm normally pushed forward so she can ram me again. There must be a proper tactic like always going head on towards her when she charges, but dodging at the right time? Your video could really have done with some commentary because it's hard to see exactly how you are controlling the ship.

I keep trying this but she turns before she gets to my ship so she's never close enough for me to jump onto her
I did the glitch too. Took a few tries to get on board, but I'd have been there forever doing it properly.
I don't know if there's been any fix for the glitch since I did it. She kept turning early for me on the initial approach too, but then on one normal loop around my ship she got really close to the front, so I jumped on. I think I kept experimenting with where I stood on my boat, as that alters her turning circle a bit. Then ran from back to front in time to jump on.
I'll try standing elsewhere on my ship, every time I tried I was just perched at the end of the mast
I got it with the glitch, had to wait for her to circle like 5 maybe 6 times before she was close enough to jump aboard
I had to learn to avoid its ram attack the hard way, turning to a certain side to make it do the same, and time perfectly a close turn by reducing the speed just to inmediately augment the speed again. It's hard, but it worked for me, very unfair combat.

BY FAR the most useful strategy I thought of was acting predatorial, getting her to run and manoeuvre to evade me. I actually beat this one by ramming and attacking relentlessly, intercepting her path with mortars, chain, ram on the side, heavy shot and swivels. Facing the broadside cannons upfront reduces their effect greatly, and it's hard as fuck but not impossible to manoeuvre the Jackdaw fast enough to keep up with the Impoluto, which evens the ground. Even then, this one was a headache...
YES LITERALLY all i did was ram it the whole time mercilessly and broadside cannon it when i ram it then use mortar when i approach it at first
Yeah I beat all of the other Legendary Ships but this one is probably the hardest for me. I beat it once back in 2020 and I’m trying to do it again in 2023. My ship is fully upgraded but the El Impoluto destroys my ship over and over again like it’s nothing.
Man o war that’s faster then a fucking gun boat, turns like a car, and has the fire power of like 3 normal man o wars...

The easiest strategy I discovered is to use its own tactics against it. Ram it!
If by chance she gets caught in your chain shots then don't let her escape. Keep shooting it and it won't be able to move. Ram its backside and it'll try to run away. Let it go out a little to built up momentum for your ram then shoot it with your chain shot and ram it. Rinse and repeat it should be easy.
Some major BS advice there.

That didn't work for me... And it was impossible to dodge the ram too. It was annoying. I got so fucking lucky I somehow remained the same speed as it and emptied 17 heavy shots into the fucker

Here's a good strategy i used for this one
One was ramming it after using chain shot then hitting the sides of it, hoping for a weak point
Another tactic i used was to constantly use the barrels while it tried to come from behind. I don't know why but it seemed less likely for it to ram into me that way
If you can ever get behind her, and chain shot, ram, then slow down...take off, chain shot ram and repeat with all upgrades it won't take long. I beat it and I beat the Prince with basic ram that way, but buddy you can't miss a beat...I mean you got to have it down perfectly plus it is a biotch to ever get behind El Impoluto in the first place. But if all goes well this works!

How are people getting behind it? See a lot of comments about chain shooting from behind but when I try to Tokyo drift around it hits the NOS and I'm left behind like the adult Gerber baby. Just tried to beat this ship for 8 straight hours before I picked up my phone and it really pisses me off that I had to look it up instead of being able to figure it out myself. I aspire to be all about the journey but really I'm just trying to get shit done and my controller is sweating itself knowing how "cookoo" I get when a game is shitting on my life.
Ngl this shit was not even fun. Im skipping the rest and just enjoying the story. Who tf decides to put this in a pirate game. Bro its not possible to move mach 10 in a masive sail ship wtf.

@@Dems2501 canonically, the jackdaw doesn't have a quartermaster at the end, Anne only agrees for a while until you kill torres then when Edward asks her if she wants to go with him to England she declines. Then she starts singing edward meet his daughter and from there he starts sailing to England.
That's the reason why you can't hear anne commands on the jackdaw unless you rewatch that cutscene again she wasn't meant to accompany you after the game. Ubisoft just shoehorned her in at the end because they needed to fill the data and they weren't going to re model a new character. If it was up to me Stede Bonnet would've been my quartermaster after Anne stays at the pirate cove.
And yes I know bonnet is dead but if it was up to me I'd kept him alive to fit that role

I beat that legendary ship in easiest way by ramming behind him then spam chain shot on his sail then she'll be slow down so i just do that until its down it takes a lil bit time but its ez asf
beating this ship really just comes down to luck, sometimes she catches your backside and sometimes she doesnt. i have a fully kitted jackdaw, i mean fully kitted, down to the harpoons. and ive tried this one 40+ times. beat all the other ones first try no problems that stupid ram is ridiculously hard to escape and when it takes 1 full health bar for a hit XD like good god its so annoying.
its artificial difficulty it takes the jackdaw 10 seconds plus to turn 360 and it takes the el impuloto less than 3
@@azulspirit1385 i found the best strategy was to chase el impuloto and when she tries the ram you just turn hard right or left and go at a 90 and most of the time she misses then you can kind of lock her in a broadside off if that makes sense
@@calebwhitt1174 i beat her same day i posted the first comment. that being said it was leagues above the other ships in difficulty and i had such low health that it was an actual sliver. sucks that the only ships in the game that the upgraded ramming would be useful on are 1 time only bosses

Props to the developers for finding out how to make a Dark Souls boss battle but damn that was pain.
THE KEY IS MAXED OUT SHIP WITH MAXED OUT CHAIN SHOT. Stun him before he hits you or you dont stand a chance.
This Legendary ship battle pisses me off so Much because it just sinks me every time I get it’s Health about halfway down and it just Sinks me
My save got corrupted and I had to face this beast again and I defeated it first try. Here are some tips:
1. Use chain shot at around this point 0:57 so that it stops, enabling you to get to its side for heavy shot. DO NOT RAM VS RAM, you might lose a ton of health depending on the angle of your ship.
2. Use mortar when you find a chance to chip away at its health.
3. When the ship's hull is facing you, spam chain shot, ram, heavy shot and if possible, broadside.
Follow these tips and you should be able to sink it. Don't be scared and retreat, it will catch up to you eventually and not even full fire barrel strength can stop it. The best way is to be bold and calculating.
For me what I did just now is got behind her and just spammed chainshot stopping her then letting her go a bit, chainshot, ram, let her go a bit, chainshot, ram, easy take down.
After about 20 attemps i got it...
tips: Dont run, chain shot then hit her straight on brace and ram, heavy shot, ram , heavy shot ram.
Brace for broadsides, brace for ram.
Mortars when you can, but dont full sail away. She does big turns, you drop anchor and turn towards her.
This worked for me. Oh yes, after heavy shot you must use swivels. This is your damage dealer.
Hope it can help you.

Beaten this BITCH OF A SHIP at the first attempt remaining with a SPIT OF LIFE. I FELT SATISFIED LIKE THAT FEW TIMES IN MY LIFE. Tip: i went around her 2 times with the immortality hack to study her movements because after brothers-in-arms i was scared as f***
This ship is imposible i tried this ship one year and nothing
2:56 that dodge was so clean but it would of been way cleaner if you threw the barrels
I deleted this game right after this stupid sh*t happened. After countless tries i finally got the ship down to almost half health. Then the enemy ship LITERALLY went out of the water above my ship, flew behind me and then rammed me to death. F*cking hate this POS game. Never playing it again. Sucks that this was my favorite assassins creed:/
I may be fucking retarded or something like that because in my experience using the chain shot ram strategy absolutely crushes HMS Prince and the double legendary ships but is completely useless against this bullshit machine. El Impoluto doesn’t even give a single fuck if you‘re right behind it and just u turns at twice the agility of the jackdaw, then immidiately either pisses off and stays at a distance of 700 meters or just straight up rams me from the side like it’s a rabbit on cocaine. So many people are saying chain shot and ram is enough for El Impoluto, but I swear its AI is so goddamn inconsistent.

End of 2023, and this is still the most bs ship in the entire game. It doesn't obey the laws of physics and at times it's not even fair. Somebody in ubisoft really hated their job when they were designing this fight.
I just straight delete the game after fighting this (unfair shitty ship) there is deference between challenge and what ubisoft did hier. However I beat the game already, but this fight was last thing wanted to do but yeah it’s waste of time anyway.
Everytime it rams me it popps out the water and hits me again. Every time. It's not possible to avoid it when I move all of a sudden this thing has aimbot.
I tired swimming to it, once I got real close the cannons unloaded while I was underwater. None of the cannonballs hit me yet I instantly died. This shit sucks.

It's sort of a strategy because he let the ship chase him while he dropped fire barrels
When he is charging at you.. You charge back at him but before he hits beace yourself... Cause then you hav da advantage with thw heavy shots because it takes him some time before he shoots from his side.
This is the easiest way for me.. Ram head to head and spam heavy shot + swivel gun. Brace when it fires from range. Tha's it!

I rammed her head to head when she was on fire and I came out on top. It was fucking epic.
Ironically this ship is the weakest and easiest one to me imo.
Just take the fight to her chain shot then ram her and engage her in close quarters, most of the times she'll use her regular cannon when you're close which you then can just brace and spam heavy shots and swivel shots at it.
She's more or less useless in a close combat situation and will always try to get behind you in which then you can use the barrels to stun her as you position your jackdaw facing towards her again to go for the chain shot ram combo.
The last time I faced her was like 2 days ago after I repurchased the gold edition in ps store and I beat her in about 10 minutes in my 2nd try.
I had elite ram haul chain shots and heavy shots.
Made me pretty mad but finally got her 😁
When it hits bumps into me not with the ram on the side it damages me

EliteStar91 how come she didn't shoot with her broadside cannons that much?? You got lucky there m8. Cuz she keeps shooting with her side cannons and that's what causes the most damage to me. Ramming too, that darn ship's really good at dat.
i got a strategy when it rams you try to get behind it then you can use all your attacks on it

This thing grinded the fck out of me.
just destroyed this beast recently after 20 attempts lol the jack daw really needs to be fully upgraded for you to have a chance and just great maneuvering skills. timing is everything. combo of mortar and side cannons plus the ram did it for me, although I just rammed it once and all fire power after that. when it came to the twins I cheated coz I can't kill both lol. I waited for the distance to be at 580, slowly crept up and release the wheel at 570, continously gaining distance at 560 I think or lower then once the animation kicked in I waited for one of the twins to approach, one twin was at the side of my ship, I climbed up to the widest part of my ship, jumped on their ship, killed all the people aboard with the help of my smoke bomb. when I went back at the wheel I destroyed the ship but there was a glitch, it was still alive although on my monitor only one name exists and that was the other twin so I focused all my firepower on that twin and eventually they both got killed.
Apparently this is the hardest legendary ship this was my first one I took down. I mainly used the swivels and the ram

Dude this thing is faster then a fucking gunboat, it seems to defy every sense of physics including the fucking wind, a ship with that much weight to carry + armor and whatever the fuck it has inside Should not be allowed to make any of those manuevers, it runs away even faster then the jackdaw it turns faster then the jackdaw it comes at you faster and stronger then the jackdaw. Mate the ship is facing a storm, with waves and probably going against the wind in some circumstances. I can gurantee you 100% this thing would not be able to move the way it does in real life, in no way and shape of form would this thing in any fucking universe would be able to do a 360 turn run for the hills only to do another 360 turn and come back and haunt you and your xbox for the rest of your life in that little ammount of time, it would take an amazing ammount of mechanical power (yes mechanical power of which was not invented at that time for such large ships) to get this thing moving like you see here '';,,;''
Step one: max out your ship upgrades
heaven with jackdaw on max its pretty hard
Just a quick strategy with the heavy shots. Spam the heavy shots until the El Impoluto sinks
I did this the hard way in the end.
For some reason and I don't know if it is a PS4 thing, I could not, despite several attempts, board the Impoluto using the method shown. Either the bows of the ships didn't come together or I couldn't jump over.
So for me the easy way was to persevere the hard way.
But I do wish I could have at least tried this method.
This one is such bullshit. If i tried to ram a ship at full speed yea id take a massive chunk of its health but the tiny bump that likely follows would only do like a tenth of the first yet this ship needs NO momentum to do a FULL damage ram

How do you dodge the ram?
All i did was ram it the whole time mercilessly and broadside cannon it when i ram it then use mortar when i approach it at first and always stay close it to while spamming ram and broad side and chain shots and stay next to it and always be close since shes vulnerable like that and learn to avoid its ram attacks by turning around and stopping the ship till she passses you and then go ram her and basically learn to avoid the ram and ram her back endlessly and broadside and stay close

Literally did a variation of that and ended up getting lucky with strategies I looked up online. Lmao that thing sandwiched me and my ship sunk soo funny
I've tried 40 plus times the ship two taps me I have everything fully upgraded. How. Yours is so easy mine is on games mode.
