It looks like at 0:58 the front of the vest sits lower than the back. Some one correct me if I am wrong but shouldn't the edges of the vest sit at the same level.

I believe its because its curved at the back so it doesn't cut into a larger Individuals sides

Is me or this is not covering the heart

I know that this comment is four years old, but just for any viewers that may come by nowadays:
It is covering the heart. The heart is typically parallel to the pectoral muscles. There is what looks like a 1in. section above this particular vest where a bullet/blade could reach a vein/artery, but the heart itself is protected (excluding penetration from sharply vertical angles).

How proper fit in terms of a large guy with a medium vest for ventilation purposes or smaller personel with a larger vest for more overlapping on the sides for greater protection purposes. Or a small, wide chest individual or tall and skinny. Or vice versatile, tall and a gorilla or short and small. I want to be able to watch this a then order with confidence sight unseen. Which already has it's flaws, I know.

I wanted to buy a vest at the Seattle store. Ut was told they only sell them to active duty military, LE, paramedics but not to other civilians. I told them I was a military veteran, it made no difference to them. Apparently they feel that only certain classes of civilians are allowed to protect themselves. My occupation provides equipment for security checkpoints and I sometimes am in places that put my safety at risk. Thanks for nothing.

Yes, Galls unfortunately are not available for civilians as I recently learned too. They request credentials for law enforcement, etc. And I ended up going for the Premier body armored brand which is approved and tested by the NIJ under their model called "Phoenix". One thing I liked about Galls when I was checking for body armor is the side overlapping which exactly what law enforcement/other agencies use.

This is the reason why I bought my vest from Safelife Defense.. they don't have many style options but what they have does look good and fit great. I bought 2 vests from them. Safelife taps into the market who believes civilians should be able to protect themselves too, at the very least. Body armor is no threat to anybody. Unfortunately I bought mine before NYC banned civilians from purchasing body armor.. so if I wanted a new one from safelife, I doubt they would ship to me. But I haven't tried yet.

Dang. You would hope they were an American company but there just law enforcement.
I always considered that there could be people who serve in the armed forces but miss the point and never be great because there not American even though they were born and raised here. Taught to shoot a gun but it mean nothing because there a foreigner at heart, never knowing freedom and never fighting for any of it except for the word itself to pretend its around.
You hate to see it on a corporate level where a whole company is not American but get confused into thinking they are because headquartered here in America and and are so certanly interested in price gouging Americans here and not somewhere else.
Thinking there a good American character with a place in history but instead just being a good actor for some Americans with a smaller place in history.
