Two people were taken to hospital following an accident involving four vehicles along Lim Chu Kang Road on June 27 evening.
The police and Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said they were alerted at about 6.10pm to the accident involving a van and three lorries along Lim Chu Kang Road towards Neo Tiew Road.
A dash cam video shared on social media shows a collision between a Lalamove van and an orange lorry.
A 45-year-old male lorry passenger and the 42-year-old male van driver were taken conscious to hospitals, said the police on June 28.
The van driver is assisting with investigations.
SCDF said that one of the two men was taken to National University Hospital while the other was taken to Ng Teng Fong General Hospital.
In response to queries from The Straits Times, a Lalamove spokesperson said: “We are in touch with the affected driver-partner. To the best of our knowledge, the driver-partner is in stable condition.”

Many of these van drivers like to drive very fast and lost control due to either cannot stop on time or skidded. Remember a van is a goods vehicle, not a race car.

Thats why all commercial vehicle must have speed cut off at 70km. For what LTA put the 70km sticker behind but not a single driver follow the 70km mark? Worst is the ferrying worker which is 60km. But all the lorry drives more than 70km. No point putting the sticker behind.
They love to occupy fast lane too.

This kind of driver shud be marked in records so cannot drive vans with more than 2000cc. They shud instead drive Kei Cars or smaller lower powered vans.

The smaller lorry on the right might be making a right turn, there’s TAB side entrance which the lorry passed and there’s another right turn about 100m after that, that goes to Murai camp entrance. Take note the lorry is signaling right.

I think many of those & phv drivers are really 'out of proper work' people. They are INEXPERIENCED drivers w/ very little driving experience & are temporarily working as phv & (courier & logistics) private delivery drivers just to get on w/ life. The gahment should note that proper (& relevant) job opportunities (job creation) is IMPORTANT!

I don't care how good of a driver you are, a van is not meant to be driven fast based on geometry, engineering and physics. Its a blatant fact!
Some of these delusional delivery drivers illegally modify their vans with turbo charger just so they can speed on the expressways and risk the lives of all road users.
TP and LTA should clamp down on these criminals and implement harsh penalties.
