I believe that the ranchero should be a 2 door cab and a half that looks more like a car then a pick up truck and should remain a long cargo bed like the original so that you enhance the utilisation of the cargo area and have a sports addition with V8
I'd like my Ranchero with 2 doors, gas in front, electric in back, a solar bed cover and all the autonomous driving and creature comforts please. Others might like it simpler, and it's good to have options but as I get older, creature comforts get more desirable. I just want a little truck with 2 doors that will fit into my garage that is fun to drive and gets great has mileage. Thanks!
If they make it like the youth in Australia it would be a dynamite car if they make them anything like the Honda at the Hyundai Cruise or Santa Cruz or whatever they're calling it it's going to be a waste of money
The very minute the narrator said, "based on the Ford Focus", I shut it off. Just another badge-engineered compact car that no one will buy except for the name. This is an insult to the original and TRUE Ranchero, that properly should be based on an automobile/car/sedan platform. If it were a real Ranchero, it would be based on a Crown Victoria or perhaps a Taurus. Ford should save it's money. This will be a total flop if it is just another mini pickup. We have about 50 models of those to choose from every manufacturer already.
so how can it be a hame changer when it starts at 20,000 the same as all the other hame changers from the other car companies ? and don't forget standard engine is the ecoboost 4 cylinder the same one that almost all are being recalled cause they are crapola
should be a 2 door. $20K price point would be typical of Ford pricing their market out of the market. This is a vehicle for guys/gals that need a handyman vehicle on occasion. I don't see tradesmen investing in this as an option. I hope its not another SporTrak ripoff. Earlier reports by the CEO of Ford said this would launch with a price point of closer to $10K. I highly doubt it. I've already lost interest in these over priced modern marvels of dysfunction. The best thing the buying public can do is turn their wallets backs to these corporate idiots until they start getting right. When they quit pleasing their stock holders and start pleasing their customers maybe they will start selling decent cars again that people actually want. I ain't holding my breath on this one. It smells like another miscue.
I love my 2017 Focus; and since ford no longer offers them; IF I ever have to replace it, my next car won’t be a Ford. I have only owned Fords since 1981.

It they mess it up like the Bronco they can keep it . They should do it like the the the falcon body and v8 motor and offer a stick shift
