I bought a Hisense U6GR for $399 a week ago after making several comparisons. It has a few more features over the U6G. Way more adjustments than some other brands and after making my adjustments for my viewing preferences I couldn't be happier. FYI, it was so bright I actually toned it down some, glad I didn't pay extra for a brighter TV.

Good review. For those that want more dynamic range and HDR a little tweaking will be your reward on the Hisense. With Samsung, it's set it and forget it, but you can't match the Hisense in color, contrast or brightness. Thanks

I have got the Samsung TU-7000 55-in. I was not expecting a lot from this TV at its price range. But it is an absolutely great TV. Absolutely beautiful picture. Very good HDR. I came from a RCA 4K TV. Because it died. And I will tell you one thing. The Samsung TU7000 is 10 times better than my old RCA 4K TV. My old RCA 4K TV claimed it had HDR. But it was garbage HDR at best. Seeing the picture on the Samsung really makes me see what HDR is. ALSO. You were saying that the Samsung doesn't have many sound options. But it does. The TV will automatically disable or add extra features for the sound depending on what it detects your setup is.

The LG up7000 is even better than the Samsung tu7000. I've seen them side-by-side and the colors aren't as good. The LG had deeper, richer colors and looked clearer. The Samsung tu7000 is a 2020 model and when Tech Steve compared it against the 2020 LG un7000, it blew it away in terms of color vibrancy. Now it's been surpassed. It just goes to show how much these tv's can improve in just 1 model year.

Shame on you Samsung: the brightness and the overall picture quality of my old 50K5100 budget non smart TV is far better than the one of these TU7000 crap series (forget watching movies with dark/night scenes, it's almost impossible 🤮🤮🤮). Go for Hisense (or any other brand ☝🏻) but avoid Samsung budget TV's, they downgrade everything, even their menu (now they have only one inefficient "merged" backlight/brightness command, and their dynamic contrast, black level, carnation, etc. have all disappeared)-->all those picture adjustment options were the strength of the samsung TV's in the past in comparaison with other brands.

I love it, only down side is there is some noticeable vertical bands (dirty screen effect) when its a pure white background like watching hockey or winter olympics. Only happens on like a pan shot. otherwise, great tv. I paid $899CAD at Costco. Note: the 65" has much more local dimming zones than what they put in the 55". Like 3x more dimming zones.

The screen is on its way out and this is the second time i have had this happen. First time Samsung came out and replaced. I really like the Hisense range from your reviews and others. So the one issue i have is the 60HZ and 120HZ. Im feeling if i go for 60HZ im missing out or too far behind. What are your thoughts?. Also do the latest Hisense have 2.1 HDMI?. Again how important is this?

For some people 120Hz is over rated, most broadcast is 24-30Hz so there’s no everyday benefits. If you’re planning on buying or own a PS5 or Xbox Series X the 120Hz and the HDMI 2.1 allows so games to play smoothly

Was this test done with the Samsung having energy saving settings off? I believe I read/saw somewhere that it can get a lot brighter with it off. Great content!

I think people forget that everyone lives in different environments, example if you live in San Diego a tv at the beach won’t last as long as a tv inland because of moisture or someone could have rolling black outs that can damage TVs without a good line conditional, it just varys.
