I have had a Emerson for over 10 years and I have had no problem with it. I watch TV a lot and it's still going good 💯
My Emerson microwave was over 30 years old when it finally gave out. My 10 yr old LG is still doing good.
I have a Phillips 65in i bought on black friday 4 yrs ago and i love it ...i have alot of apps downloaded and i only use wifi with No cable service and i mever run out of anything to watch plus i have philo which gives me all the main cable channels for only 25.00 a month i get 60 something channels ... discovery, history, amc,own, lifetime and lifetime movie , and on & on ...i paid 300.00 for this tv and hooked up a soundbar .... excellent tv

The problem is most of these new design tvs won't last, especially the not so well known brands. Bought 2 of these so-called high end new tvs , but had image problems after moderate use of less then two years!
Our other 8 yrs+ Sony hd tv is still working well. Connected it with an Android box & happy viewing for whole family. ❤
Had the same experience. Got the rank 4 tv, but can’t power on just 2.5 yr normal use. & their after sale service is bad!
Reliability is what's important to me. I have a 12 year old Panasonic that's still working great. Unfortunately it's not a smart TV. It's smart enough for me. I'm nervous about buying a new TV. I don't want to buy one every 2 years.
Dont rush it.. as long as you are happy with your tv, you should keep it
Connect your tv with a good Android tv box & you can have almost all the apps of your android phone. We did it for our 12 yo Sony tv.
Smart Tv wouldn't last for 5 years. As the technology doesn't guarantee long lasting
I utilized my previous mobile phone to transfer data to my DVD player, which is connected to the television. It is not necessary for the television to be a smart TV.
I hope that yours continuous to last. My Panasonic, plasma just died at 13 years, was still great until its death. The average flat screen TV life is 10 to 15 years.
You forgot to add Insignia™ - 50" Class F30 Series LED 4K UHD Smart Fire TV from Best Buy. I got this for only $229. I have Apple TV 4K, and this TV works great with Apple TV. One of the hidden gems at Best Buy.

Samsung TVs burns out fast. Search samsung black screen. Multiple people include myself have experienced this issue. I would NOT recommend samsung.

I have 4 Sony Bravia with wide range of age . no problems what so ever, picture even in the 13 year old is great
And yet my 6 year old Sony Bravia doesn't have enough capacity to run BBC iPlayer (known fault that Sony won't address). I'll never trust Sony again.
As a long time tv service technician, I would not recommend HISENSE or TCL, especially in entry model forms. The longevity of the led backlights in both brands are questionable. Given inflation and what one should be spending on a tv today, OLED is the only true value for life and picture quality. Anything that is not OLED has some form of backlighting that fail , edge lit leds will warp their diffuser when the leds go out making the set non repairable. Entry level sets all use rear lit leds, the quality of LEDs varies greatly and the lower cost sets tend to have led failure early in life. To add insult to injury most of the new sets have screens that are double face taped on 3 out of 4 sides, meaning a disposable product.
The entry SAMSUNG AND LG are still better products even with their somewhat hard to use interfaces.
This is my major gripe with electronics and appliances. They are made not to last. In regards to televisions, you’re lucky to get 5 years out of them. My old Pioneer Elite Plasma TV lasted over 10 years. I don’t trust these companies or the industry at all. Had to replace my Plasma TV to work with my surround sound system. Had to replace EVERYTHING since my older equipment wasn’t HDMI compatible. Walked into the store figuring to spend $800 for a TV, walked out $2,800 poorer! What a scam. Each damn HDMI cable was $100 each. Wish I had known about OLED. Such shysters in the electronics industry!
I bought two tcl's and they both died right after the warranty expired. So l bought two hisense TV's and I couldn't be happier. I've had them for over 5 years now and they play as good as the day i bought them.

Hi, What will be your suggestions of a Tv (like a specific brand ) with OLED?
I don’t consider the tv’s mentioned in the beginning as the best due to them being cheap, or with issues to overlook. Also I bought a top of the line LG against my belief that they are inferior. The LG will not connect to a Surround system for example the Yamaha A6a out of the box. I put it in the bedroom, and replaced it with a Sony. Much better!
Avoid using an LG Blu-ray player with an LG TV. The LG TV & LG Blu-ray player communicate even when turned off. You'll leave the room only to find minutes later that they've turned themselves BACK ON. To eliminate this I replaced the LG Blu-ray player with a Magnavox Blu-ray player to the LG TV, and connected the LG Blu-ray player in my guest room to a SANYO TV. Problem solved.
@@ken-in-KY I believe you, I scrapped the lg, and went out a bit the bullet and bought a Sony A8. The A9 was ok, but the difference between the OLed, micro, didn’t convince me. When the geek squad was removing the LG he asked me what was wrong with this. I told him not a thing.

Too much detail given too quickly. You should identify what the user wants to use their tv for and only then give a review of the most appropriate TV for that use.
I am buying a new TV today, so this video was very helpful. My one worry is that the app loading experience will be too slow. I will see what happens!
Lg g3 or the Samsung 900 series the tvs on this video are ev not the best
All of the UHD TV's have too much ultra definition. they are tiring to the eyes of many people, I tried to return mine as after watching it for 15 minutes I got tired and blurry eyes.

You all don't have to blow smoke up our butts anymore about QLED vs OLED. Samsung now makes OLED and it sits above the QN90 in their product stack.
I bought a TCL for a friend. Luckily it failed just inside Costco's 90 day return, so I was able to get rid of it. I have two LG plasmas that are 13 years old and going strong. If they ever failed, I would replace them with another LG. One by the way is at my ski condo at 7,000 feet. Remember the old urban myth that you can't use plasmas at elevation?
..I have a black, 55 inch Panasonic Plasma that still has a beautiful picture. I don’t need all the technology, I have TH-cam TV and some basic apps for when I do want to watch tv. I wouldn’t even know where to start if I have to buy a TV.

In this day and age, if current TV sets doesn’t contain the ATSC 3.0 tuner they’re crap. I’ve seen 4K video over ATSC 3.0 OTA and it’s amazing.

I bought a 32" TCL and the picture quality is terrible. There is too much blue in the picture that can't be adjusted out with the picture settings because there is NO blue tint control. Just red and green. Tried all the settings like picture temp and power but the blue is always there. My 11 year old Toshiba has perfect color because it has a blue tint adjustment. Took it back right away. Was given another set but it was still the same....way too much blue. Called TCL and they said I had to live with it as that's the way TVs are now. Well, I'm not living with it as I sold it for a loss just to get rid of it. Back to my 24" Toshiba with perfect color. I'm just wondering if other brands are like that with too much blue in the picture.

Yeh my 43” LG lasted 2 years, picture always seemed dark, eventually left side went blue. Got a Hisense 50” now, refuse to pay more it’s disgusting that nothing lasts these days.
@@quarkyman1 I still have a 25" Zenith tube set that is still working good. Gone are the good old days. My Zenith came right on as soon as I hit the power button. This flat screen takes about 30 seconds to get a screen. Now I read that TV stations are going to do away with "over the air " signals as the cable companies what you to pay for their service. My TV will be out on the curb when that happens. I get one channel with rabbit ears.

Does LG still have WiFi readers issues? I had to get firesticks or google chrome TV to use that not so smart tvs … all the LG websites said I had to open my LG TVs to fix the WiFi teader

Back then i believed in upscaling low-res content to HD to became much better in quality,but now i know is that the only thing it is doing is just simply stretching the image,theres no pixel smoothing at all,all that 4K upscaling hype should be banned,and if there is a way to smoothly upscale low-res content into 4K,then they should call it smooth 4K upscaling,
Also there’re other features with the claim to enhance image quality but in reality just make the image do look worse such as mpeg artifact remover,and so since then i don’t care about those so called ai smart tv’s whether they use quantum leds,micro leds,rgbw leds etc,,, a tv is just a tv and we should all remember that if you feed it with garbitch,then it will output garbitch,simply it cannot do magic ,,,,unless you connect it to a supercomputer wich could do all kinds of magic stuff in realtime and then turn that garbitch into something beautyful on screen,BUT then will definitely introduce delaaay and laaaaag.

What about the insurance option that best buy offers ? I use to believe it was good to get but now I don't think it's good at least best buy cause of my bad experience buying a cell phone there...
My opinion on buying the extra insurance is absurd, I never get it! I feel it's a big scam! You have the manufacturers warranty automatically, in most cases is 1 year.

Those are entry level 4K TVs. My preference is LG at the entry level, but YMMV. Samsung are brighter but lower contrast. If you prefer that you might like the Samsung better.

There is a new TCL Smart TVs coming out in 2023 TCL Series 75 C835 & 75 C835 & is coming out in Spring 2023 & has more Brightness & more enhanced sound bar Quality & more Colour but I don't know if these Smart TVs will be coming to New Zealand & so far will coming to the US & England & will have to wait & see what happens & at the moment new Zealand stores are selling all their 2022 models at a cheaper Prices TCL C635 4k QLED Google smart TVs & their 7 series TCL Smart TVs Kind Regards Peter

You don't need to fet rid of your perfectly fine TV, you can buy (I think it was called) a TV box that has all the smart features. Things like Fire Stick, Apple TV, Chromecast

Simply never buy an LG TV. It is incredibly restrictive with what apps you can load and it does not support a proper VPN. I bought an LG smart at a great cost but it is garbage.
Have you enabled "allow 3rd party apps"? Lg is among the best brands made, period. However, if you want to access any apps you want, nothing beats a Nvidia Shield Pro android box. Smart tv's alone only offer paid subscription apps. Even the workaround is limited. That's why Fire sticks etc. are so popular. But that's just a toy compared to the Nvidia. It's the best you can get & has been for years.

@ThickNjustrite Too have an LG TV that's not even 3 years old yet and the vision has gone on the television and been told ir would cost approx €150-€200 to fix. Absolutely shameful. Was chatting with the technician today and in his opinion LG are the bottom of the rung where brands are concerned. Said he would never recommend an LG tv ever.and I'll never purchase again either.

That happened to a friend of mine as well, their Sony TV failed just outside of the 1-year warranty period and the cost to repair was simply not worth it.
