Best RAW deadlifter along with Magnusson (442,5), Bolton (432,5) and Konstantinovs (430). Besides that he holds dozens of strongman records like Apollons Axle (I think he did 215 here) and the Log (210). So any sentence containing the words "Savickas" and "strength" with an unbelieving undertone is forbidden.
If I'm not mistaken, these plates are Hammer Strength plates. They have the same kind of plates at one of the gyms I train at, and the diameter is actually smaller than regular powerlifting/weightlifting plates, so he's lifting the bar from half an inch closer to the ground than a regular deadlift.
i'm so happy there are some gym training vids of him. i've read he's rear squated 400kgx3reps in the past and hope he or his friends will post some of his squat training.
Oh man, the way that the camera shakes violently when the weight hits the ground along with the fact that there's almost too much weight to fit on the actual bar (at 430) is exactly why I love Savickas.
Some sources show Bolton as holding the WR, because it was completed during competition as one of his three lifts, not a warm up. Obviously, there is some controversy there. But you're right, it was a geared comp. he just did his DL raw. In any case, Bolton completed a 430 raw DL in competition in front of a judge.
- The main problem with straps is just not the grip issues but more to do with the fact that the athlete hitches the lift all the way to the top. With zadrunas he clearly did not hitch at all and the 430 was very smooth and fluid, indicating that his deadlift is around that mark interms of his body strength potential. By the looks of it he would have handled 440 - 450kg without straps and without much
Lol i didn't picture Big Z working out at a local 24/7 fitness centre. I always pictured him working out at a serious gold's gym type place where the big guys train. He must of got some interesting looks that day.
@dve8692 there are 7x25 and 1x20. If you have experience with those hammer strenght plates you won't have problem with understanding. Look at that 20kg it is clearly thinner than those inner ones. There is no discussion about legitimate this lift is or not. This video is for AC competitors showing whats going on with big Z :D
@160gbhdd It's not a cut and dry number. A Deadlift bar will flex and bend more than a normal bar. And the bar used in the hummer tire deadlift, since it's really long, will bend far more than even a deadlift bar. The more weight you put on the deadlift bar, the more bend it will get. So an 800 pound puller will benefit more from using a deadlift bar than a 400 pound puller. A bendy deadlift bar may help you a lot if the first inch off the floor is a bitch, but not if your lockout sucks
Wow, is it me or did he do 430kg easier than 410kg!!?? This guy is a freak. Z could probably hit 1000 if you put it on the bar. I have zero doubt. Can't wait to see everyone square off in Ando Bolton's deadlift challenge next year. BIG Z, KK, Bolton, Benni and many other freaks. Going to get nutty!
don't be so harsh, Zydrunas is one of the most popular sportsman in Lithuania, he or his training partners could have told them to not interfere when he lifts weight in gym, European Culture is a lot different than American culture, and Zydrunas is no exception, no emotions involved, highly scientific and going towards a higher purpose, pr and being better than the last day. Zydrunas doesn't want people to shake his hand or cheer him after big lifts, because to him he still isn't strong!
@muzimuzi on each side of the bar there are 7 25 kg, and 1 20 kg. so (14*25) = 350 and (2*20) = 40. 350+40 = 390 kg. then add bar, which is 20 kg, and you have 410. You can see the last plate on the left when he does 410kg double is a little bit smaller. Zydrunas doesn't have to lie, he has won every major competition in strongman.
@zignationer Actually I don't think ANYONE has ever done this before. Yes Bolton has 1008 and Benedict has his 970 BUT those lifts were done with Deadlift Bars - Bars that are thinner and 6 inches longer. Because of this, Deadlift Bars bend more - which makes the lift easier. Big Z is Deadlifting with a normal power bar in this video. I believe this is the heaviest deadlift ever done on a normal barbell.
...Hitching. *I meant WITH STRAPS. Plus this was done RAW. If you watch konstantines videos, he does similar weights raw and granted he doesnt use straps he still doesn't look as comfortable as zadrunas does with this.
It shouldn't be possible for same man to have World Record Log Press and Deadlift at par with the strongest deadlifters. Usually one is good presser or deadlifter, but Z is just all over Strong to the bone.
@razegfx well i dont know for sure, i belive i heard of most deadlifters who crossed 400 killo thats why im a bit sceptic... but i belive u're right and the last plate is only 20 it seem smaller
I wouldn't say using straps is cheating but lifts can be more impressive without them because it shows their immense grip strength. I'm sure he could grip that no problem anyway.
@Met666: That no one in the gym is really paying attention to Zydrunas suggests they've all seen him do similar before, and expect to see him do it again in the future. Which, when you think about it, just makes the pulls that much more ridiculous. 900+ as training weights...
its ok everyone its not an earthquake.
big z is just dead lifting..
There are strong people and then there is big Z.
Love how he still puts the weight down with control as to not disturb anyone in the gym hahaha pure class from Big Z
So 430 kg is equal to, lets see...Nine hundred and HOLY SHIT!
yeahhhhh..... didnt seem too excited lol
unbelivable BIG Z is the best
MONSTER!!! And he does it with perfect form aswell!!!
We are all mere mortals. Z is the king.
Everyones probley looking for all the weights and big Z has them unreal lifting big Z is the man.
love how the camera shakes when he drops it.. Big Z you a monster!!!
Now that's what you call raw power!!!
The Strongest man ever.
cant someone pls post some more vids of big z training, he is one of the strongest men ever, would love to see hes training :)
only a handful of people in the entire HISTORY have been able to do that!! simply fantastic
I am so happy right now.About time someone put up a vid of this legend training. Zydrunas, the strongest man EVER!!!!!!!!!
I love the fact that when he drops it down on the floor, the camera shakes!!
I cannot believe how smooth that looked! definately good for more!
Gym needs to buy in some longer bars.
BIG Z OWNS THAT GYM
Raumenys22 It wasn`t a serious comment, i don`t think they make longer ones (?) i assume that they move to bigger plates when they run out of bar.
@@jprp999 calibrated steel 25kg plates instead of changing bar
this man is freakin strong! Hes legendary.
thats one of the best thing ive seen in a long time thank you for the upload.
BIG Z WE LOVE YOU HERE IN GERMANY!
MORE VIDS MORE VIDS MORE VIDS!
I love big Z
dude he is so perfect with his lift none of the plates fell off on the drop!
Best RAW deadlifter along with Magnusson (442,5), Bolton (432,5) and Konstantinovs (430). I like how people in the back round dont even notice, Z is one of my all time fav strongmen
i love how the camera shakes when he drop the weight! damn pro

Yep if i ever travel to Lithuania i will def stop by there.
he is my hero!!!!
The collar just popped right off. THE COLLAR POPPED OFF.
This was without hitching.... I don't think there is another strongman that can pull 430kg without hitching. Big Z is the man!!
No leg shake, he still have room for more.
Oh man, the way that the camera shakes violently when the weight hits the ground along with the fact that there's almost too much weight to fit on the actual bar (at 430) is exactly why I love Savickas.
430KG Deadlift by Big Z...clean.
Imagine if he breaks Bolton's record in that Deadlift contest next year... that would be fucking amazing.
Astonishing. Just astonishing. Thats all I can say.
amazing the way he lifts this weight!! not get it over the knees and pull pull pull pull...
HE JUST PULLS IT UP IN ONE STRONG MOVE. thats power
Andy Bolton owns the WR for the heaviest raw DL at 948-lbs (same weight). But that is in the SHW, whereas Konstantin's is in the 308s.
Some sources show Bolton as holding the WR, because it was completed during competition as one of his three lifts, not a warm up. Obviously, there is some controversy there. jeeeee

I think that is his own gym in Lithuania
And still there are some fuckers playing around with chest flyes and leg extensions. I hate the muscle industry and their propaganda.
There's no more room on the bar! That is impressive lifting, very few in the world can lift this much
I like how the camera shakes when he puts the weight down. Like an earthquake or something.
Cant believe he just pulled 430kg raw and there was only one guy who even bothered to watch. My whole gym would have stopped for that.....
wow... Big Z is a boss! hahaha Hope to see more of these!
To get a feel of just how heavy this is, just watch the camera shake everytime it falls to the ground.
GEEZUZ! Eassssyyyyy too.
lol the guy at the end. "yehh..."
Monster .
@lmercierdurso
It has been discussed earlier. There is 7x25 + 1x20 per side = 410kg. And then 10kg plates = 430kg.
Big Z stole all the plates again..
I think we know who's winning a seventh Arnold title this year.
Just impressive
The fucking king
what a beast..currently the strongest man alive
@dve8692 there are 7x25 and 1x20. If you have experience with those hammer strenght plates you won't have problem with understanding. Look at that 20kg it is clearly thinner than those inner ones. cool when the weights hit the ground that shaking effect. I was like wow!!! I compare him to the blob
legend!! wonder why marius dont have any video of a 430 deadlift? savickas rules
@160gbhdd It's not a cut and dry number. A Deadlift bar will flex and bend more than a normal bar. And the bar used in the hummer tire deadlift, since it's really long, will bend far more than even a deadlift bar.

very strong, keep working at it, and don't get hurt :)
i like that the plates are falling off :D
Wow, is it me or did he do 430kg easier than 410kg!!?? This guy is a freak. Z could probably hit 1000 if you put it on the bar. I have zero doubt. Can't wait to see everyone square off in Ando Bolton's deadlift challenge next year. BIG Z, KK, Bolton, Benni and many other freaks. Going to get nutty!
You know you're the shit when your weight falls off the end of an olympic bar.
don't be so harsh, Zydrunas is one of the most popular sportsman in Lithuania, he or his training partners could have told them to not interfere when he lifts weight in gym, European Culture is a lot different than American culture, and Zydrunas is no exception, no emotions involved, highly scientific and going towards a higher purpose, pr and being better than the last day. love how the camera shakes when the weight hits the ground haha
ps i use the same weight plates and yes they do have a smaller diameter then your typical olympic plates, which means they are lower.
we have the same set of plates in our gym, and they are about 3-5cm smaller than Eleiko plates. So he was basically pulling from deficit...
@zignationer
Actually I don't think ANYONE has ever done this before. Yes Bolton has 1008 and Benedict has his 970 BUT those lifts were done with Deadlift Bars - Bars that are thinner and 6 inches longer. @ptarleton Actually, I've heard that Doyle Kenady could do 410 kg x2, in 1986.
Benni could do 880x5, with straps.
LOL when he dropped the weight and the camera shook :D.
good god!!!
....yaay....
This is basically 948lbs. That is NUTS!
Amazing!
@DeadliftequalsLife yes.
This man can lift heavy in every way possible, he has a big bench, big squat, big deadlift, big overhead press... lol
@Regimantas Thought plate was 45lbs, sorry about that then. idk why american doesn't go to the metric system....
bigZ representing LT!!! lengvai 946lbs atrode!
@Apjooz yes, yes it is
the man on the right side in the background thinks:
WTF:D
@dve8692 those are 25kg plates + outermost are thinner - 20kg
Awesome!
@Maddolis Guess it depends on what you consider the greatest...
It shouldn't be possible for same man to have World Record Log Press and Deadlift at par with the strongest deadlifters. Usually one is good presser or deadlifter, but Z is just all over Strong to the bone.
Holy shit
@louisecarlto big Zs gym are probably used to seeing this. they are probably oh theres Z doing his normal workout. STILL AWESOME THOUGH!!!
This is his lazy day on Sunday :D
Whoa
tankkkkk
@razegfx well i dont know for sure, i belive i heard of most deadlifters who crossed 400 killo thats why im a bit sceptic... but i belive u're right and the last plate is only 20 it seem smaller
@ptarleton ,so a bar which doesnt bend makes the lift harder??? hence harder?
My gym does not even have that much plates lol
I wouldn't say using straps is cheating but lifts can be more impressive without them because it shows their immense grip strength. I'm sure he could grip that no problem anyway.
Oh really? What an honour to train there with him =)
@Met666: That no one in the gym is really paying attention to Zydrunas suggests they've all seen him do similar before, and expect to see him do it again in the future. Which, when you think about it, just makes the pulls that much more ridiculous. 900+ as training weights...
Amazing lifting!
