Do yourself a favor and get in the habit of throttling down to idle and running at idle a couple seconds before shutting the engine off. Running above idle and killing the engine is a good way of having unburned fuel left in the cylinders. This will then "wash" the cylinders clean of oil and the next time you start the engine, you will be momentarily running without oil and the piston rings will wear considerably faster and you will start burning oil. Not good. Kubota makes a great engine, but no engine last very long without lubrication.
It's a diesel engine. The shut-down happens as a result of cutting off the fuel supply, no chance of washing bores etc. Even a petrol/gasoline engine would do the same.
Excessive low idling wears the rings the fastest. That occurs when it’s not hot enough for long periods of time and the rings aren’t expanded enough to keep fuel and oil on their respective sides
I've always throttled down any gas or diesel powered engine to minimize radical temperature swing. I was always under the understanding that it was very bad to shut them off at high rpms.

Great video! So if you dont mind me asking how much did you pay total for machine and shipping? I just started looking at these and wondering if they are worth while once shipped to the US or if i should just buy a used one here. Does this machine offer a change over switch to change the controls from excavator to backhoe? This looks like a real nice machine!
It’s really hard to buy it, you’re looking at 15k for the machine, approx “$4k” to them for shipping, then they try to upcharge another 4k for “US emissions compliant engine” like a Kubota engine instead of their regular cheap diesel, then you have to pay approx 5k in US customs and like 3k for the freight over seas, buying the Chinese mini is kinda a scam, cuz you think you’ll have one for 15k and it ends up being closer to 30, I had a lot of stress with the sellers lying and scamming, had to go through all the legal actions to get it canceled and refunded which took like 4 months, and ended up just buying a used cat 302.7 for 20k, that’s kinda what ppl need to know before buying a Chinese mini
Ben what are you talking about? None of those shipping and customs figures are even close to being correct. If that was the case a tv you buy at Walmart made in china would cost $5k. Yes there is a tariff to pay on imported goods but it’s not $5k for a $12k machine. You can get a whole 20’ shipping container shipped from china to USA for like $1800. You must have been dealing with some scammers. I’ve been buying from china for years and never paid those kinds of prices for tariff and shipping.
@@lucasbrown-ui9mu he's not totally wrong about customs duties and taxes. he's in the USA, presumably this machine is subject to US section 301 duties (Trade war with China) which are likely 25% on top of regular duties for machinery of this type, plus taxes. People are being fleeced if they're paying $5k for shipping for something like this - you could probably arrange for something cheaper yourself. Then again, if you were trying to buy during peak shipping season or during COVID prices may have been outrageous like that. Prices are down now. The manufacturer may be obligated to not provide a non-US spec diesel engine for a machine that is to be used in the USA. It's possible the import could be seized for not following EPA regulations, and before you say it's impossible for the EPA to find out, any machine of this type has information automatically passed to both CBP and the EPA and likely a few other agencies as part of a routine customs clearance. If the EPA knows manufacturer XYZ is routinely sending noncompliant products to the USA, they will start inspecting every container and busting the importers for it. I work in the global logistics industry and am highly familiar with costs and import laws, taxes and duties.

What kind of engine is in your excavator?
It's in the video. First 2 minutes.lol
How much do you think that can lift fully extended
Not sure, I may try to set up a video lifting some stuff that I know the weight of.
Nice toy 👍
What was the cost?
Hi there, recently I also import a same machine. Can you please tell me which customs broker you choose? Thanks a lot!!
Ltmg took care of that form me
Great video! So if you dont mind me asking how much did you pay total for machine and shipping? I just started looking at these and wondering if they are worth while once shipped to the US or if i should just buy a used one here. Does this machine offer a change over switch to change the controls from excavator to backhoe? This looks like a real nice machine!
Hello, I am an excavator manufacturer from China, we have small excavators with Kubota engines, compliant with EPA standards. Are you interested?
Wow what a pain, thanks for the info, i kind of thought they were too good to be true but was not sure.
How much did this little machine cost?
Hello, I am an excavator manufacturer from China, we have small excavators with Kubota engines. I will give you a good price. If you are interested, please contact me.
Was roughly 26,000 thousand canadian to my driveway, most of the cost is shipping over 7,000 for that. Canadian money. So machine alone was only 19 canadian if you can pick it up lol
@@doylemaintenance hi thanks for your valued info wasnt there taxes or duty at customs to pay. thanks
@@Chicoeat yes only hst on top of that. No duty.
How has this machine worked out for reliability? Also, has the 30 inch bucket been too big for this? I want to get one for the property but want a narrow digging bucket with a thumb. A small brush rake would be nice for cleanup. Anyways, looks good.
Check out my 1 year review vid I did last month.
No issues.
Thank you for this, I've been. Looking for a good 2 ton or 3 ton so many ppl review the 1 ton machine. What was the shipped price and which seller did you choose?
13,500 u.s plus shipping to Ontario Canada was 4800 u.s. so 18,300 total u.s direct from LTMG
Hello, I am an excavator manufacturer from China, we have small excavators with Kubota engines. I will give you a good price. If you are interested, please contact me.
@@doylemaintenance Hi, how come the shipping will cost 4800 us$? I was told 300-400 us$ to Montreal. Are there any hiden fee on top of the shipping cost?
@@canadianosprey that's what it cost up front back when I had it delivered.
think he paid so much because he needed it shipped from Vancouver to mississauga. If you get it shipped to a port and pick it up there the shipping will be much cheaper. I was quoted $600 to Montreal port.
How much do you pay for the excavator?
Purchase price was 13500 u s. Plus shipping
How hard was it to import into Canada? Thinking about bringing one into Newfoundland.
Easy peasy. The import customs company did all the paperwork. I just picked it up at a terminal in mississauga.
The importer was arranged by manufacturer to contact me.
@@doylemaintenance What company in China did you use and would you recommend them? Thanks for the reply by the way.
@@fsj66 I explained all that in video
The manufacturer took care of it all
Good video bud. When you say $5k for shipping, where is that from and to?
I’m looking at bringing one from China to Vancouver and shipping is covered, but I need to ship it to MB. I’m curious what my shipping will be from Vancouver to MB.
The 5k was from China to Vancouver to Toronto. I paid the whole trip. It came from Vancouver on a train. The shipping was expensive during the height of covid.
How much canadian for one of these?
in video😁
Do you know hom much weight can lift?
It depends on how far away the weight is .
If you have the boom all the way out probably 100 lbs.
If closer to machine maybe 300 lbs
@@doylemaintenance Interesting because a 1 ton chinese excavator with gas engine picked up around 600 lbs fully extended before it started tipping, it still had hydraulic power left.
@@Jtwizzle ok ya since my post 3 months back I can pick up around 1000 lbs close to cab then extend it out to the farthest reach without it tipping. It can hold it out there but cannot lift it further up.
Hi. I was wondering how much hydraulic oil per minute? The thumb obviously doesn't take much but can you use a hammer and other implements? Thanks
This is from LTMG when i asked for specs on my machine.
The 2ton excavator comes with Kubota EPA engine. The hydraulic pump flow is 36l/min.
there is no way that is 2 ton
What was the price for it?
13500 u.s. plus shipping from china
👍 👍
That's 2 ton? Looks smaller.
It is
Did you have to get a certicate proving it is compliant with your standards?
Can you please clarify the cost .
Was it $2700 or $27000
Plus $5000 delivery ?
Because for $32,000
Why would one not just buy a name brand.
Thank you the video and the information..
Also did you get a warranty?
I bought an AGT DM13-C from auction new/unused. Just because it seemed such a hassle to do the Shipping from China with all the hidden fees associated with that.
@@Orvillehuit33 total was 27000 canadian. Including delivery.
This machine is now cheaper to buy but the features have changed to less bells and whistles.
They needed to cheapen it to compete with the super cheap ones
@@Orvillehuit33 brand name machine here in Canada are $50,000 for 2 ton
18,300.00 and it's an 18hp? If this is true there is a company in the US where a Kubota 24hp engine/Chinese mini ex. cost 16,900.00. I was really interested to hear your story about the purchase through Alibaba shocked that you paid what you did, it must be because you only purchased one. I'm not here posting to promote any business so I won't say where I found a 24hp with hydraulic finger for 16,900.00 and it weighs 3300 lbs as I haven't purchased it yet, still debating. This guy must be buying so many that the bulk cost must be much lower than the 13+ thousand you spent, shipping could also be lower through bulk purchases to justify 16,900 for a 24hp..
Good luck with your mini and you still received a good price from Alibaba compared to getting a real Kubota
Is it that company in Pennsylvania?
can you comment/vlog how your extendable track slider things look, and how much slop/play you have? Here's my chinese 2-ton and from my first impressions skimming your video, your machine is tighter th-cam.com/video/E8oBRRINM2s/w-d-xo.html

Awesome thanks for sharing.
I just got quoted $300USD to Brisbane Australia, I guess that is a lot closer, seems a bit cheap though for shipping dont you think?
Which manufacturer? The bulk of my shipping charge was to get it from british columbia to toronto by train. Its around 3,300kms by rail
@@doylemaintenance LTMG I asked them on Alibaba, same model as yours I think, the LTE20
@@ludditetechnologies yes thats it
Me again (thanks for your replies so far appreciate it)
So with sending them money it is slightly nerve wracking, were you nervous to do that?
@@ludditetechnologies No not at all, they are a big company and you have the security of Alibaba, LTMG does not get there money untill 30 days after you send the balance that you pay once the machine is ready to ship. How long did they say before its ready to ship? mine was around 65 days to be built as they had none in stock I had to wait to get it built.
poor quality, too small power to work.
Interesting .....you've seen it in person.
Still working fantastic 8 months later no issues.
Thanks for your comment.
I would buy again from LTMG.
